 Rather than catching any cloud, the pokeball came back and bonked her on the nose. LizDuck snickered at this, knowing that it must have been funny to watch her and the pokeball.
Oh wait, it would have been hilarious to watch her actually get captured by her own pokeball! Laughter renewed yet again, the trainer began to roll around yet again, laughing all the way.

 As the purple mist dissipated, Fin began working on the ropes that held the scientists. "You can stop trying to run away now," she told them, irritably. "We're just trying to help."

Ridley stood slowly, pretending great difficulty, and gave Liam a look. With the air clear, the distraction was gone. Ridley looked off in the direction the trailer had gone, relieved that the ghosts were gone, but hoping that the rest of the Rockets had made it to the cave.
At least there was still some fussing to be done over the scientists...

Nyght retrieved her pokeball and was only too thankful that the ghost pokemon had disappeared before the last of her giggles had worn off. That would have been terrifying otherwise! Walking over to the scientists with the rest of the group, Nyght peered suspiciously at them from the outskirts. How sure could they be that they weren't more rocket spies?

 For the most part, Day wasn't so confused anymore, and neither was Faith. They walked over to the scientists, concerned that they might be rockets, and Faith started chewing on the ropes biding them together. She would go see Spalding later to make sure he was okay after the attack.

Pippeh sighed as she grabbed her pokeball that didn't even go anywheres. "I'm not meant to get a pokemon on this trip it seems." she said with a sigh. She looked around at all the commotion going on and spied the scientists tied up. "How'd they get like that?" she mused as she stood up on shaky legs. She decided to let the other trainers go tend to them. "Jaidev let's go see if Basil and his trainer are alright." She walked off as Jaidev followed with a growl of protest.

Fluo congratulated the successful trainers. Perhaps tonight she would make her famous stew and cornbread feast in celebration. And even slip a little something into Penny's drink. She pushed aside her plans for the festivities in lieu of helping to assess the damage done. The scientists were still roped up and a little battered for the wear.
The ever stylish and sleek Team Rocket had already fled, but left a deep impression on the trainer. She wanted black duds to rock out, too. Picking up a fallen food box, she placed it next to the pots and pans. She supposed the scientists would prefer it if they were free.

From the shock and joy of catching her Ghastly, Renekai momentarily forgot the situation. "Come out and see your new friend, Bell~" Renekai said happily. Bell came out of her pokeball and watched the levitating pokemon. Bell wasn't sure what she thought of her... She was creepy. "Her name is Dreydonna!" Renekai declared.
"Ghaaaasss..." Dreydonna said, licking Renekai. Renekai shuddered at the attack but decided that Dreydonna was merely trying to be friendly. "Welcome to the team, Dreydonna! ... Oh! The Rockets are getting away!" Renekai said, looking at the tied up scientists, then to where the Rockets had escaped.

"Well, now that that's all over." Zen sighed, rubbing hte back of his head and yawning. The adrenaline chemical had pumped the gas out of his body, and now he was wiped from the commotion.
Walking over to the scientists, he kneeld down behind them, messing with the rope knot.

Alright. Alastair almost had everything figured out. With a lot of effort and concentration, he managed to sit up and look around properly at the laughing, sleeping, and confused trainers. Damn gastlys… they couldn’t have attacked at a more inconvenient moment. Probably had followed the caravan all the way from the woods. Maybe they had even followed him, Effie, and Lamen on their little trip into the woods. Finally managing to get to his feet, the first thing he did was examine the place where the black boxes once stood.
Yep. Completely gone… but why? Out of all the other things, why take the boxes? The scientists might know… Alastair went out and promptly gave one of them a kick. “HEY! Wake up!” It wasn’t really Alastair’s nature to be unnecessarily cruel… but, of course, that said nothing about necessary cruelty.
Con considered the question and sniffed the air in the wagon, trying to locate the smell. Since he rarely saw any of the scientists, it didn’t do much good. I can’t tell, he admitted with more than a little embarrassment. I never paid the scientists much attention before… the people… they were dressed funny. And they took the black boxes. That’s all they were after… his pride rankled a little at that. What?! So a rare white houndoom wasn’t good enough to be kidnapped?

Kader closed the distance in a heartbeat seeing his good friend and favorite growlithe of all time! "Carter! Yero! I didn't think I'd get to see you two the entire trip!"
Bending down to greet Yero, the smile left his face at Carter's question. "Rockets." he stated. "They took the trailer and they're headed for the ruins. They darted everyone earlier to make their get away. They even took the black boxes."

Lamen was too awed to do anything but stare in amazement at the ball that returned to her hand, wiggling slightly with the life it now contained. She had caught it. Her first pokemon... and it was a ghost type. Finally grinning, she threw her arms into the air triumphantly. "YES!" It was well worth the trip, if only for this. Well, except for what she did to Effie... but the guilt that had been plaguing her for the past two days receded in the joy she felt now.
What would she call it? She needed a name. Letting it back out of its pokeball, she smiled as a pokemon all of silver mist formed before her eyes- it kind of matched her... Blue and silver, huh?
"Nice to meet you, kid." She said, enthusiastic. "We're going to be the best team ever, won't we?"
The gastly, intruigued, could only give in to its adventurous and mischievious spirit, and agree... although he'd have fun in ways that might not please its master at all. But hey, a victim for life! What ghost pokemon wouldn't want this? "Gaas!" He exclaimed gleefully, despite less than pleasant intentions.

 "Heehehehee... hehehe... eh? Kris?" Sunnie said, her laughter beginning to fade away. "I'M OVER HERE KRIS, ON THE GROUND! ...hehehe, ground..."
Glace, who had slept right through the rocket attack, appeared to be fine. Vitesse had calmed down, and stood back up, regaining his almost-regal posture of being on the lookout.

Managing to get up on her feet, her laughter felt as if it had only increased in level. She tried to gain balancing by grabbing ahold onto the wagon, but ended up bonking her head and falling to her butt. She felt angry how her body wouldn't do anything, seeing as was getting tired of all this laughing.
The effect was softening, but only into giggles. Her body felt limp from falling over the wagon, and she had no desire to have it happen again. Tonight, she'd be sleeping on the ground.
Forcing her legs to move, she made her way towards the scientists, groaning with a few chuckles every few seconds.
