The everything market is horrible right now because people are horrible.

I think limited socialism in moderation would be good (think Canadian health care), and I don't believe in this "socialist agenda" everyone's talking about. So poor people want money, that's how the world has always been, the USA isn't about to turn communistic because of it. I don't think importing has to do with it either, since we export quite a fair amount and import probably less than some other developed countries (i.e., UK, Japan).

The issue is entirely greed, selfishness, and stupidity. I have seen article after article, news story after news story about how gas prices are high because the people who sell the gas know they can get away with jacking up the prices by five cents every month and they like being rich. I can't ever say that to my boyfriend though, his mother is very involved in a major oil company. >.> But it's not only oil prices, it's everything. The people at the top (CEOs, politicians, etc.) don't give a damn about anyone but themselves, and they feel entitled to all the money in the world. And they could have all the money they wanted AND the poor people could be less poor AND I would be able to get my broken leg taken care of, my baby born, or my cancer cured if everyone would quit putting all their time, thought, money, and energy into war, arguing, and petty disagreements. You know what would solve all of America's problems? If we said, "Hey, why don't we cut this party bullshit, not get involved in foreign countries' politics, and GET THE ******** ALONG!"

It's not every company. It's every big company. Big companies control the government, in a manner of speaking.

Personally, we just need to get some smaller businesses to get more jobs out there, lower some prices, raise a few taxes, get people buying more, raise our economy, get out of debt, go back to isolationism. It worked before, it's sure to work again.
