The 100,000 people. In the long run, the person trying to cure AIDS would save more lives, but, if he were a good scientist, he would keep notes on his work. Those notes could be followed by someone else, and would save the people with AIDS. So, more lives could be saved that way.
Would you rather let your one true love die to save all the other people on the planet, or save that peron's life, and let everyone else die?
