Tanyeera paused to consider that a few moments and a worried frown creased her brow. Normally, not even deities would be that stupid, but this was Bellaream they were talking about.... She shook her head and continued to stretch. "No, I'm fairly certain it will work. After all, its not as though Bellaream was the one who actually created the thing, she just gave it a purpose. Telling a thing what its supposed to do isn't that hard, after that, I believe it just functions on its own."

Tanyeera HoidToid Thorn who had been eating during the talk about the trip stood up and left the kitchen and went out side. Every thing he needed he had with him. Seeing Tanyeera stretching he walked up to her. "This is going to be some trip. I just hope every one makes it alright. These mason creatures sound dangerous I have never heard of them. So I'm not sure about them." Thorn took off his axe and sat down near her and started polishing the blade. "I suppose it will be somewhat dangerous." Tanyeera admitted as she continued to stretch. "But who's complaining? I suppose it'll be our honor to die for the glory of the goddess Bellaream." she said it quite casually, but you couldn't miss the irony in her tone. She might have to do whatever deities told her to, but that didn't mean she had to like it. “I don’t plan to die for her. Even if I fall on this trip it won’t be for her.” Kayoe just returned from getting the animals he and Adencia had killed earlier. He had put each of them in their own sack that he had kept in his pack, along with some ice, with any luck it wouldn’t start to smell until later in the day. He tied the bags to the bottom of his pack, the two animals added to his load, but he would be able to manage. “If you fall make sure you do it for someone or something important to you, or at the very least die for yourself if you have yet to find that person or thing.” Kayoe listened to the question that was going through everyone’s mind, ‘will it work?’ “While I’m not very familiar with the legends behind this goddess in particular, in general if the Gods say that something will do a certain action, it will do it. That isn’t to say that it will do it in the way that works best for you, but the action, in one way or another will be done. I doubt even a goddess like Bellaream would be an exception.” Kayoe realized that he might have just added another fear into the mix, ‘if it does work, how will it affect me?’ to try to minimize the damage he gave a warm (but probably not very convincing) smile, “Things should work out fine.”

Tanyeera sighed but did not contradict Kayoe's words. It was true, legendary items were infamous for doing exactly what they were told to, but with a slight twist or a cost. Ah, why was she thinking all this? It didn't matter to her. She was just following orders. She didn't think anything could rid of her of that accursed demoness inside her. "Just be grateful she's off in her own little world right now and not bothering you." she reminded herself.
"Things could be worse. She could decide to just pop up right now, right before you're embarking on a dangerous mission absolutely loaded with opportunities to kill things and people. Or worse, she could wait till you least expect her during the journey itself and then pop up to send you rampaging all over the place."
Tanyeera really, really wished she had not thought of that. It was exactly the kind of thing Darkness would do. She resolved never to let her guard down during this mission, but with a sinking feeling in her heart, felt that that was probably a vain resolution.

"Even if this stone thing doesn't work I think we will all benifit from this adventure. I really hope we can leave soon though. My wanderlust is calling me and I can wait to leave. Plus I think there is a storm coming soon." Thorn pointed to the sky above the trees where a huge flock of birds were swarming. "The birds are restless they must see a nasty one coming in."

Aranai's mind reeled as the talk went past her predicament to provisions and ponies and the like. What had she gotter herself into? She wasn't worried about nighttime treks, which was probably quite the opposite of most, as she could defend herself better, or simply fly away... then there was always her song, but she didn't like to use that. It was dangerous, and she hadn't gotten the hang of it quite yet. She would have to experiment, somewhere where no one could get hurt. It was in her human form that she felt helpless.
Like most of her time in the last twenty four hours, Aranai found herself listening absently to the conversation. Her hands went into the big pockets of her long coat, fingering the items in them. She had all she need right here. She did have a small knife on her person, but she had only used it for more 'homely' purposes. She needed no blankets or roll to sleep on, she would perch in a tree to sleep if possible, or just lay on the ground. It wasn't like the cold would get to her. Her fingers brushed small, round objects, and she pulled them out. In her hand was a long string of pearls, all perfectly formed and exactly the same size, born of sleepless nights when all she could do was cry. The firebird did not weep tears, but pearls, and she had woken many times, lying on a bed of them. These were only a few. In truth, she had a couple more strings around her neck, hiding beneath her shirt, and more in her pockets. She rubbed her thumb across the pearls, gazing at them. She hadn't thought to mention them, but perhaps they could be used to sell in the future.
Once Cerdik had gathered the food and stood back beside her, she eyes the kerchief full of breakfast. She hadn't eaten since yesterday morning. Biting her lip and willing her stomach not to complain, she nodded at her friend. "I suppose it is time to go outside once more. We can perhaps eat once we are on the road." She stuffed the string of tears back into her pocket as she spoke, and began to walk.

Cerdik noticed her glance at the food, and immediately felt another wave of selfishness. He was always so focused on himself, he thought, and it was starting to bother him. Silently, he vowed to make an effort to pay more attention to the people around him. Step one was completed. Now he had to make a move on step two. Solemnly nodding, he followed, trying to think of what to say. As they moved out the front door, he had finally built up enough courage to bring the matter up. He held the kerchief up to Aranai. "Take them. I be sated for the time, but you have yet to even touch food this morn. Your need is greater than mine own."
Whether she would accept or not was not much of an issue in Cerdik's mind at the moment. He was simply glad that he was starting a change, however small an effort it was. Besides, he couldn't let her go without eating breakfast after all she had done for him.
And what exactly had she done for him? He pondered that a moment before finding an answer. She had allowed him to find contentment. Life didn't feel like such a struggle, nor did he feel as if he were constantly being oppressed by outside forces. No, he was warm, and content, and worry-free at least for the time being. So now he was doing his best to return the effortless kindness she had shown him.

Aranai listened in quiet amazement. Cerdik had picked up on her hunger, and was trying to be so selfless. So far, he was doing fine. Considering it impolite to ever decline a gift of selflessness, Aranai gave him a gentle, thankful smile and took the small bundle of food he'd gathered up.
"My thanks, dear Cerdik. I'm afraid I am very hungry... but I cannot take all of this for my own. Here."
She looked inside, brought out the half loaf of bread and broke that in two. Humming a sweet, listless tune absently to herself, she handed one piece to Cerdik and started nibbling on the other. She hadn't had freshly baked bread in a good long while, and it tasted like heaven to her. Normally, she would eat during the night, when it didn't matter if she ate raw meat or berries or seeds. Sometimes, whenever she would pass through a town, she would buy food paid for in pearls. It was a welcome treat, and her contented humming helped her take her mind off the long journey ahead. As they stepped out into the early morning sunshine, she smiled and tied the three apples back into the kerchief.
"Cerdik, you may keep these. We can eat them along the way, a little while from now."

The switch had come as Garren had expected and where Garren once stood now was his younger sister Isarelle. She did what he asked from his place in her consciousness and gathered what would be needed. It was a fairly light load – as it should have been – but Isarelle still had to collect some necessities for herself. Pulling a small traveler’s pack from her study she gathered a few useful items that would assist in her using magic should she need to.
Wandering back to the front of the manor, she saw that everyone had already gathered there and Adencia was waiting with Meena at her side. Compared to the horse, the elf’s head barely reached up higher that the top of the mare’s back.
“Let me help you load those.” Adencia offered.
“Of course.” Isarelle smiled, “Oh, but I should have asked you to get the traveler’s saddle while you were in the stalls – sorry. Could you go get it? It’s the saddle without a horn and several baggage clips on it.”
“I’m not sure I could hold the entire thing myself,” Adencia said truthfully, “Meena’s already a large horse as it is, I don’t even want to think about how big the saddle is. I’m going to need some help.” Glancing at the others she gave a short wave, “Could someone come with me?”

"I'll come." Tanyeera volunteered, walking over. She needed to take her mind off Darkness. "Between the two of us, no saddle should be too heavy to lift." She tactfully did not mention she could probably lift the saddle herself, that would have been boasting and she really disliked people who boasted, even if it was herself.

Thorn watched as Tanyeera and Adencia headed to the barn and came back with a saddle for the horse. After the saddle was was tightened and secured and the few items loaded on to her Thorn spoke up and said "Well I don't know about you but I am ready to go." He turned and started walking up the road.
((I'm sorry if i just mad anyone mad by doing that but i was getting bored with this RP because it was getting nowhere so I sped it up agian I am sorry if that made anyone mad.))

((Yeah, 25 pages without setting out is a little insane, I'm for moving out!)) “I certainly agree with his logic.” Said Kayoe almost indifferently. “I’ll take the front guard with Thorn,” He then turned to the rest of the travelers. “I’ll leave dividing up the rest to you all, and we most certainly can switch off periodically. Let’s not waste much more daylight then, night travel is difficult in such a large group.” Kayoe dashed along the road and caught up with Thorn. “These parts will be among the safest we’ll pass through, but let’s not let our guard down. I can tell that axe of yours isn’t just for show, but I pray I won’t have the opportunity to be proven right.

Cerdik nodded, and accepted the bread, but did not eat it at first. There was a flood of conflicting ideas in his mind: Give it back, keep it for later, eat it then, give it to someone else... He just didn't know what to do. So, naturally, human impulses got the best of him, and he eat it right then and there. The bread was eaten in Cerdik's typically slow pace, and when it was finished, he felt a tinge of guilt. He was already failing at his promise that he had just a few minutes ago.
With a sigh, he gripped his satchel strap once more and looked toward Isarelle, waiting for the word to leave. It was about the time he was shifting his weight impatiently that Thorn began to walk off. Kayoe quickly followed.
Cerdik was torn now. Begin moving ahead of Isarelle, Aranai, and Adencia, or attempt to keep up with Kayoe and Thorn. With a nervous step, he began walking. He motioned for Aranai to follow, and hoped that she would. The fading warmth was almost enough to turn him back. "W-we should strive forth immediately, I agree. We have abused the day with much dawdling since, and light is of utmost importance. Hasten now, ne?"

"No, its not for show" Thorn replied with a smile "but its been a while since I've had to use it, say, how about when we make camp we have a friendly duel? It will keep us both sharp with our skills." Thorn looked up at the taller man hopeing that he does say any thing about himbeing to young to duel. "But yeah it does seem like a rather safe area I only saw a pack of wolves and a few bandits on my travels through here."

((Oh, seriously, thanks guys. I was trying to get us out as soon as possible, I feel like it's kinda my fault that we were moving so slow. I dunno, I guess the way Blade and Chalice set the beginning opted for a slow one. Thanks for getting us started guys biggrin . I'll make my post later.))
