The Basilisk laughed before stroking the boys cheek bone with his thumb, "now, now, who said the fruit was a apple?" A sly smirk flittered onto his lips, "besides I'm not just a serpent, though I am flattered that you refered to me as such a sly, gorgeous creature." He then cocked his head to the side letting his dark forest green hair to flutter off his shoulder as he looked at the awkward youth before him.
"I guess it does surprise me a bit that you would rather speak with me. I'm not a particulary verbose creature-- unless you catch me on a good day." He stroked the young boys soft cheek once more before stepping back with a smirk. He then twirled once and did a bow with one leg extending further, "which you just happened to catch me in. Now my dear sir--" His cold eyes seemed to flash behind the glasses, "ask of me what you wish, I shall indulge your social conversation craving."
Zephyr was a little... mistified - perhaps even dumb struck - by the little show. He did quite know what to make of it, having never really had to act upon formality with anyone. His cheeks flushed in a mixture of embarrassment at his own speachlessness as well as at the lingering feeling of the other's soft fingers on his face. He couldn't help it - he was, after all, a willow. Prositutes weren't nicknamed "Women of the Willows" for nothing. In the old days when tree spirits had been common, Willow spirits had come to have a certain reputation.... "I... uh..." He gave a small, slightly sheepish giggle. "Sorry... now I'm the one without words," he said, giving the other a small, helpless smile.

Kon reached his hands out eagerly but withdrew them as soon as the snow began to chill them. He returned his hands somewhat less enthusiastically and tried to mimmick Ryu's movements, but ended up making quite a mess of everything. Frustrated, he withdrew his hands into his sleeves, a heavy pout set into his lips, cheeks flushed from the cold.

Frustrated, he withdrew his hands into his sleeves, a heavy pout set into his lips, cheeks flushed from the cold.

Ryu chuckled, smiling softly. He regained control of the growing mass of snow, continuing to built up the body. "See...like this..." he murmured under his breath. Ryu paused, then looked up at Kon. "Here..." he said, taking Kon's hands. Moving their hands together, he continued rolling the snow...

Kon felt his face heat up as the other touched his hands. But that was just because of the cold... right? Kon thought so, at least. Again, he tried to do as the other had showed him. With the other's guidance, he did better but he still wasn't much good at this at all.

Ryu laughed softly...soon thefrist segment of the snowman's body was done. "Now we make another one like that...but a bit smaller..." Ryu grinned, the cold air staining his cheeks a faint pink. His hands still rested over Kon's- he found the warmth...comforting.

Kon nodded, his eyes flickering momentarilly to their hands. As he did, his face reddened even furthur. But his gaze shifted quickly - a little too quickly to be the gaze of one who was calm. He actually felt quite nervous. Nervous... but happy. "Right, so.. uhmm... you start out, okay?" he mumbled determinedly. It was quite obvious that he was incapable of making another ball all by himself.

Ryu nodded a little, murmuring a soft "All right." He knelt down and packed together another snowball and began rolling it this way and that...he found himself staring off into space, but quickly shook himself out of it...he didn't want to end up thinking....about...her...

Kotoro snickered at Oliver's reaction to the beeping oven alarm, but didn't take it as anything more than humorous. With the food set aside to cool, the red head had moved to rummage in the refrigerator for drinks. The boy's exclamation caught his attention, however.

"Woah, what were you doing? Too anxious to eat before it's even cooled?" he asked, looking rather amused despite the others discomfort. He left the fridge to open a drawer full of washclothes. Pulling a single one out, he flipped on the faucet just above it to soak the rag in cold water. "Come here before you hurt yourself anymore than you have already." His tone didn't sound like a scolding mother, but more like a teasing friend.

Kon eventually grew tired of standing and with a soft "umph!" he plopped down to sit cross-legged in the snow. His eyes roamed from the other's working hands, up his arms and eventually to the other's face. The boy leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees and his chin on his palms. Ryu was... an interesting person. Nice. And he didn't care what Kon was....

Hebishi looked up and caught the willow's gave with his own strong one.
"What? "He then stood up fully and cocked a hip and stated in a mocking irked voice, " my dear lovely willow, first to you want to chat and now you wish not to. Are you wishing to change your mind again or should I just go back to watching you?" Hebishi's pale, long fingers drummed on his hips as his cold, yet at the same time heated, gaze was focused entirely on the young male before him.

((sorry for the wait...gaia, busy schedules and writers block do NOT mix xp ))

Once it was at a good size, Ryu looked over to find Kon and found him sitting in the snow. Smiling, he said "Come on over and help me finish this guy's body...don't wanna leave him without a torso, ne?" Ryu could see the contemplative look on Kon's face...but decided it was best not to question it.

He flushed even furthur, the crimson splotches running across his face and down to his neck and ears. "Sorry..." he mumbled slightly sheepishly. "I would... prefure to talk than to be watched... but, I don't know... I hardly talk with others.... I'm a tree - I observe others... not the other way around." Hish shoulders shrugged up towards his ears and then dropped. "So then I suppose it is not very fair of me to ask you not to watch me..." On the whole, Zephyr seemed rather confused. Trees were always in groups... but solitary at the same time. THey hardly conversed with one another - after all, the living trees were a dying race - and when they did... they never said much. Conversation was never any of their strong points. They mainly watched and listened... and the birds had quite a lot to say. Most of it was nonsence, but it at least passed the time.

Kon's hand traveled down to his own waist, eyes peering down at it in keen examination. Yes... a torso did seem neccessary. He removed his hands from his midriff, slipping them back inside his sleeves, and looked up at Ryu with wide, blue eyes. He shook his head, his expression entirely serious. "No... Kon thinks he needs one..." he mumbled as he stood up, brushing to flakes of powdery white snow off of his coat and pants.

Hebishi pondered this, snakes weren't known for their social skills-- most fled at his presense so he too was normally an observer.

"Right then, I shall then just rabble like the birds then," Hebishi's thin lips curled into a suductive yet cold smirk. "I am a basilisk, I killed two men today, I make pacts when there is only something in it for me. I am feared, my gaze turns living creatures to stone with the exception of plants, so you, young one, are safe. I am ageless, I hate the cold for I am cold-blooded. I have a fondness for helpless creatures though if you breathe a word of it I will have to kill you..." He winked, "my bite is venomious yet I haven't killed a lover yet. I am described as ruthless, cold, cruel, sadistic, and stoic." He then did another bow, reached out and held the willow's hand in his own pale, long fingered one before pressing his lips to the back of it while looking Zephyr in the eyes the entire time.
"And you, my little willow hold my attention at the moment."

Zephyr blinked. He felt incredibly simple once presented with this complicated and detailed introduction. And, once again, there was that small physical contact. A very small, but very strong shiver ran up his spine and he winced slightly. He didn't like that feeling.... He was probably in withdrawl, as well. He hadn't met with a nother being of any kind on matters other than Pacts in perhaps a decade or so. It was long for a tree - especially a willow - but even longer from a human's perspective.
Feeling a need to reply to the other's introduction, he said, somewhat sheepishly, "I... umm... well... As you know, I'm a willow.... My name is Zephyr - it means 'West Wind' - and I'm..." Here he wrinkled his nose in thought, eyebrows knitting together in concentration. "I'm about five hundred years old, I suppose," he said at last. "That's... well, it's a long time for regular trees... but I'm not really normal... so I'm actually young, I suppose..." he murmured, his shoulders shrugging up towards his ears. He didn't seem very sure of himself.
