Rosaline looked up at the new arrival, who most deffinately stood out, and was nearly blinded by the seen of whiteness. He luckily avoided spilling champagne on his dress - why did he have to wear a dress, anyway? Just because he had long hair didn't mean he was a woman... He sighed. Even his maker had thought he was a woman at first... He sipped at his glass again and then stood up, setting his glass down. The last youth that had asked him to dance immidiately came to him. "Will you dance?"
"No, I'm... very tired... Sorry."
But he wouldn't take no for an answer. He pulled Rosaline by the hand and though he tried to resist, he was too small to pull out of the man's grasp until, on accedent, the glove of the hand the man was gripping slipped off in the man's grasp and Rosaline, who had been setting all his weight in the opposite direction, fell backwards. "Ah..."

"Oh my" Corbin said, his voice flowing like a hymn.
Suddenly he ran to the boy, being kind nature like he was. "Are you alright..?" He said, not knowing if it was a boy or a girl, so he left sir or madame out of the question. Being substantially bigger than the person, he lifted them up from the ground, and smiled. Dusting them, then himself off.

((A note, Rosaline looks axactly like a girl except he's flat. xD And he's wearing a ball gown.))
"Thank you," he said politely, smiling beatifully despite having just been knocked down. He reached back and gently placed his long twist of pink hair in front of his shoulder, an instictive movement to make sure he didn't sit on it again. THat would be... painful. "My name is Rosaline." He made a movement half between a curtsy and a bow, not quite sure which to use. He had been raised to curtsy, but then he would look even more feminine. He retreived his fallen glove from the floor and dusted it off before slipping it back on. He smiled again and the scent of roses seemed to fill the room, large as it was.

Mie-tanuki He shrugged. "I've no idea. Whatever it's called - that place outside the borders. We're going there to see what there is." The words slipped off his tongue smoothly and he looked completely calm, but there was a part of his mind questioning if it was indeed right to tell the prince of their plans. He seemed interested, but he was dangerous. Faryn was surprised. Outside the borders? It wasn't just inter-Kingdom travel... but the dangerous kind. And Sayael said it so easily! ... weren't the Kingdom of Ice and the Kingdom of Darkness completely landlocked from the see? "How will you get there? By boat?"

"We're going by land first. Then by sea. I already have horses and a boat and food and things," he said with a shrug. "I want to see what lays outside the borders - no one ever talks about it, as if it is nothing important, but it is so heavily guarded, I'm curious," he said with a bit of a smirk at the slight irony - first Faryn had been denied answers to his curiousity, and now Sayael was admiting his own.

"OH hello Rosaline. I'm Corbin Gaze. "(pronounced GAHZ) He smiled as he watched the girl go through her movements. It was cute.
"I apologize I look so... different from everyone else." He shrugged. "I've never been to a masqerade before in my life, other than the ones at the Palace back home." This is how they dressed in his kingdom, however.. most people at her castle wore all white.

His smiled took on a slight expression of wonder. "Excuse my ignorance, but wouldn't that make you the Prince of Light?" he inquired, an expression of genuine interest on his face. It was impossible to tell that he was male from the way he acted and looked - even his lips were a perfect cherry red, his cheeks slightly flushed, and his nails perfectly manicured and shell pink.

"Yes, that is who I am, Corbin, Prince of Light, Heir to throne... etcetera.." He shook his head, he hoped that this character would not treat him any differently now that he'd figured out who he was. He hated when people did that, it wasn't 'cute' in his book. "Now where are you from madame?" He said foolishly.

He winced slightly. "I - um... I'm... nevermind..." he said, deciding he just wouldn't tell the other he was in fact a man. "Oh, I'm from the Kingdom of Death... well, at least, that was where I was born... I had to come to this kingdom for some shopping annd somehow got invited here..." he said with a bit of a smile, trying to forget that the other thought him a woman - just like everyone else, he thought privately.

"Then you'll probably go through the the Kingdom of Storms to get to the sea, correct?" he reasoned, more to himself than anyone else.. It was understandable-- Ice's allies. He wondered if the Prince of Storms was in on this experience. He nodded. "Do you leave soon?"

He nodded. "Yes. I have a friend on that side who agreed to sell me his boat. Of course, there weather there can be iffy, but he said he do what he could for us." He smiled. Having connections was a wonderful thing. "We leave tomorrow... night, I think."

I'm sorry, it's just that your outfit suggests... well nevermind." He smiled when the person had looked rather embarassed, it was adorable. Corbin leaned in his bright white smile apparent, "You do realize.. it's even colder here... don't you?"

He shrugged. "It's not your fault... These aren't even my clothes. I was passing and a guard invited me... I didn't have time to tell him I was male before he gave me... this..." HE gestured down at the flowing blue ball gown. He smiled appologetically. "Sorry for not telling you before... it's... embarrassing..." He flushed even deeper when the other spoke. "I - yes..." he said, trying to meet the other's eyes, but feeling rather silly. "But here... at least it's bright... I need light... I can't live in the dark," he said truthfully. After all, no rose could live without the sun.
