"I'm guessing they just want to want to boast who can stay on their horse the longest no matter how many times they will get hit." A small chuckle to that, though a look to Kyst and Nillrik and he smiled. "Mind if I join in on the wager?" And Galesen looked to the field quietly as he watched the horses, the brown horse that Nillrik pick was one "flag" ahead the white horse, so the white horse would have to get a knock off or get the helmet taken off in order to win, though Galesen always liked the underdogs, sometimes they can surprise everyone. "I'll go for the white horse."

"You don't see the fun in that, Isle? We're men. That is fun." Giving a chuckle and then letting his gaze slide to Galesen. "Sure, we don't care, do we, Nilli?" He glanced out at the field and eyed the brown and white ones then nodded. "You two have picked yours and now I'm picking the black one with the white on his foreleg."
Sliding over a bit to give him some room, she kept her eyes ahead and forced herself to act normal. "I haven't decided yet. I can't keep him down forever and he's nearly an adult now." Shaking her head. "You took him from me because I was too protective..."

"More the merrier, right?" He pulled out his excessively valuable crystal again. "I got my crystal! Mama you have to hold it all so we know where it is!" Handing it to her with a grin.
"Right...men being men in other words." A raise of an eyebrow. Where did he get the crystal from? Though she took it anyway and gave a nod. "Sounds good to me. Gale, Kyst, pony up your pets."
"I want in on it too." Pulling her hairpiece from her hair and dropping it into Isle's hand as she plopped down on the bleacher behind the other woman. Lylani gave a grin. "Hello Kystraen," and rulling Nillrik's hair, "Offspring."
"Not really. I took him from you because you both needed to grow. He needed to learn that he was going to be okay, that he was safe without you around to hide under your wing all the time. And you needed to learn that he could handle all of that and be just fine. You two couldn't do that together. I've taken enough time from you both, think of this as my way of giving you back some of those strained years." Turning a look at her some, "This is his last year of having a mentor after all. Yeveer is good with the young ones, so Valeessen is going to have to find his own new partner for work and such." And they all knew that he wasn't opposed to family doing such things; there were plenty of brothers and sisteres, husbands and wives, parents and offspring. Just a matter of if they all worked well together.

Galesen blinked at the crystal that Nillrik brought forth, now where did that boy get that? Though when Isle asked for his share Galesen took out another small bag and went through it before he pulled out a pretty large pearl and placed it in Isle's hand. "That should cover for the gem, a pearl that size is hard to find." Though a blink as he heard a familiar voice and Galesen looked back to see Lylani sitting behind Isle. "Well at least this will make the betting move even, good to have you with us." And so Galesen looked to the field to see who would actually win the bet.

"Lyles!" Giving a laugh and then reaching into his pocket and dropping a sea pearl into Isle's hand. Smaller than Gale's but worth about the same because of where it came from. "Who are you rooting for, Lyles?"
Even while she'd hated him for doing that to them, she had known the wisdom and truth behind his actions and now that same wisdom and truth was reflected into his words. It was for the best. "I would have to leave that up to him. He might not want to work with me now that he's been off with someone else. I don't honestly know."

"When the time comes, the answer to that decision will be made clear. Nothing to truly worry about." Brushing some of his hair out of his face lightly with a thumb, tucking it behind a long tipped ear bearing a few scars.
"Hi Lylani! Didja bring me anything?" Yes he did just ask that.
She rolled her eyes. "You and nicknames. Haven't seen you out of the water in some time." Looking over the horses then. "The buck skin." Leaning forward with her elbows on her knees, resting her chin on Isle's shoulder. "I always make things more interesting." Looking to Nilli, "No, but maybe I have something for you back at my stand."
All items gathered she made a show of placing them in her lap and holding securely onto them with ther overskirt. "Alright then, all bets placed and we'll see who gets to get all the pretty shiny things."

Well it seemed like everyone else knew Lylani but Galesen, it was a little surprising but in all honestly no big deal. A look to Nillrik and he smiled, the kid always asking people if there were things for him, kind of cute. A small nod to Isle though and Galesen turned his gaze to the two elves who were going to joust. Soon Galesen's white horse and Nillrik's brown horse took off, and Galesen knew that his horse had to get a helmet knock off or a dismount in order to win. Though as the two riders got closer and their lances were aimed to land their final blows Galesen couldn't help but tense up in his seat. Then suddenly the lances struck each rider, Nillrik just had to get a blow and that's what the man did, but for Galesen's horse all he could do was get a glance off his opponent's left side while fall back on his horse, though he still manage to hold on. "Man, that was close." It was, and even though he lost a pearl Galesen didn't mind. A look to Nillrik and he smiled. "Good choice there Nillrik."

"True." She quieted for a moment and then turned to glance at him. "How are you holding up, Ty?"
"It's out of my love for you. And I haven't had a reason to come out of the water. Tournament presented an opportunity and you know how I love to take advantage of those."

" 'Kay." Good enough for him, he wasn't a expectant child honestly he just asked for the fun of it and people seemed to be happy when they spoiled him and he smiled so he wanted to make people happy. "I win!"
"You win that round, Offspring. Your horse and rider still has to beat mine, and Kyst's. Winner of all the rounds wins here. But you are down one fabulous crystal." Turning her eyes to Kyst, "You take advantage of anything you can. Though it's cute."
He seemed to think on his answer for a moment before he said anything. "Well, I suppose. I have my mind occupied at least."

A look to Kyst and he chuckled a little. "You're right, and it's fun to see you do so really." Well Galesen had seen the sea elf work with whatever opportunity was available, either it be for something he wanted or something more personal, the man just knew how to work things. A look to Isle though and he smiled. "You're not going to get in on this?"

"For now." She wasn't sure how far he'd let her push or what he'd let her say before he'd cut it off. Ever since that day fourteen years ago she'd been walking a tightrope like line. She knew things she probably shouldn't and she wasn't sure how he felt about that. "And later?"
He gave a charming wink to Lylani and turned his attention back to the jousts. Needless to say, Nillrik's choice didn't make it through the second round. That left Lylani's horse versus Kyst's. "Just you and me, sweetheart. We'll see who can call 'em better. Next time, kiddo."

He gave a half thoughtful look before he merely shurgged his shoulders. Frankly he wasn't surprised that she was asking on such things, after all she was a tad closer to his personal affairs than others. "I'll find more to occupy my mind with I'm sure. I can at least try."
Oh not good. It wasn't fun when you weren't winning. Thusly a pouty look turned to his mother, "I lost my crystal."
She shook her head, "Nope, I'm going to play judge. Simple as that." Patting at Nillrik's hair though as he had pouted. "We'll get you a new crystal."
Lylani was watching with that same stoic demeanor she always had about her but she did give a light smirk at Kyst. "Indeed we will. I hope you brought plenty to bet with."

Galesen looked at Isle for a moment before he smiled a bit. "Alright then." A look to Nillrik and he couldn't help but chuckle at the boy while he pouted, he looked so cute. "Don't worry Nillrik, you can always win it back one day too." A look back onto the field as Kyst and Lylani's riders got ready. "Now I wonder who is gonna win here..." And soon they took off, when they collided Kyst rider got to hit Lylani's right in the chest, scoring him a point. "Well, off to a good start."

"Trying and doing are two very different things, Ty. We both know that you always intend to do that but it never actually works out that way." Shaking her head and moving her attention back to the field. "I just don't want you to think you're alone."
"You don't have to worry about that, Lyles." The joust continued with his rider moving his way up through the ranks with surprising ability. The first hit slammed into Lyle's rider's chest and the next unseated him entirely. Dispatching the next three in quick succession, Kyst's rider won the jousting competition with all the flair a medieval should. "Apparently I can pick 'em too."

"Well...the important thing is that I try." Crossing his arms over his chest and leaning to the side some to a more comfortable position. Sideglancing her, he studied her worry. "No one wants to think they're alone. But sometimes that's just how things are. I have Brigade matters to keep me busy."
"Lucky little devil, isn't he Coldiron?" Punching Kyst in the shoulder lightly before giving the sea elf's ears a compliment tug to the punch. "Ah well, I can't win them all I suppose. You should have picked better rewards though."
She handed Kyst the items as Nillrik was still a tad sulky. "You can always win it back from Kyst. He likes to gamble a lot." Turning a look to him, "Hey Gale, I was thinking of visiting Piper soon, any word on how things are there?"
