It looks like a fun anime filled in parody. I'd watch it. If I can find some actually subbed episodes! NO DUBS DAMN IT!

Dunno about online. I watched it when it was on TechTV... before the G4 hostile takeover and when they actually used to show anime.

Don't have G4 or any of that. I'm watching the dub now. *sighs in defeat* And I'm actually okay with the dub. Southern accents and all. They're charming. So far, it's pretty well directed. And the art is cute.

I like the Major because she shows serious girl power. But she looks like a freaking stripper. And it makes me mad. And Stand Alone Complex is okay. The movies are much better though. Some of Ghost in the Shell I can't stand. But I LOVE the music.

Yeah. Dub wasn't all that horrible. If you can ignore the moments where French Accents and Southern Accents exist side by side.
And the woman's name goes from A-Ru-Me to "Army" the way they say it. sweatdrop

Arumi is major amazing. Love her. Totally a good character. Actually both of the leads are good, from what I can tell. (Still in first episode) I expect good things.
And from what I can tell, they have the Southern accents because they are from Osaka, which is like the "country" of Japan. People from Osaka are considered laid-back, outgoing and fun, (if not a little brash) much like the people with southern accents are stereotyped in the states.
It's kind of annoying though, because it's like having a rough and tough Pirate with a Japanese accent (Remember that Japanese people cannot say their Ls and Rs correctly. So "Arrrr!" would sound more like a dying cat trying to gurgle) French and Southern accents cannot overlap in the same voice, which is what's crazy weird about the father.

Sasshi and Arumi are both really neat characters... but somehow just become so much better together.
I love what Arumi does in the Fantasy RPG world. wink

I'll just have to wait for that episode then. And the two do seem cute together...

I love it. I'm episode 4 now. I can't decide if I'm happy or disappointed to find out that the majority of the episodes are a lot more serious and lighter than the first episode. I like it though. Definitely a parody show, except it is much more controlled than the other main parody show of this generation, Excel Saga.
I loved the RPG world. Poor Sasshi. xD "I dunno, could it be Satan?" That line killed me...

Itachi: I have a big skeletal spirit with a sword..RAARR Sasuke: Out of power, oh no what is that tingly feeling -massive snakes explode out of his a**- Itachi: Oh no Orochimaru's hydra summon that no-one has ever seen before but apparently he's famous for it. Hydra: Rarr! -attacks skeletal spirit- Skeletal spirit: -chop chop chop- HAH WHAT A p***y. Hydra: s**t, that was gay. -opens mouth- Unknown: FUFUFUFUFU -snakes mouth opens revealing..OROCHIMARU- Orochimaru: Finally my plans to destroy the world and take over sasukes body will come to.. Skeletal spirit: STAB STAB STAB Orochimaru: s**t i've been stabbed by the sword i've been searching for forever, apparently that was my ultimate goal! well ******** this i'm leaving after my five second appearance -gets absorbed- Itachi: Well that was a pointless chapter, maybe the next one will have some more depth and a little less wtf Sasuke: ..I'm a p***y.

Yeah, I'd rank Abenobashi over Excel Saga anyday, least for parody. Actually in most about every way. Unless it was for Perv Factor/"Fan Service".
Though I suppose Mune Mune is supposed to fill that role fairly well. That and the whole "High School" world. sweatdrop
... also, I laughed my a** off at that recap Angelo. wink
