Try thinking of silly things or listen to silly songs? That always helped me. And I always lulled myself to sleep in dentist offices.

I can't sleep when anyone is doing anything concerning me. Cleaning teeth, checking braces, poking my head...
It's difficult falling asleep in airplanes and on buses... >3>
