Caleidah I think the problem that might be on the tanks is that then the things would just be too bloody large.Too much plastic, would cost too much?

Yeah. Think how much larger the Baneblade would be if it was the 1:35 scale that the models are. I mean...seriously. The thing is fething immense as is, but at full scale it...actually, at full scale it would be about the size of a shoebox.

Caleidah Yeah. Think how much larger the Baneblade would be if it was the 1:35 scale that the models are. I mean...seriously. The thing is fething immense as is, but at full scale it...actually, at full scale it would be about the size of a shoebox. Still, it'd be nice if they had all the models to scale. I remember the old rhinos and razorbacks, the chassis was significantly smaller than the current one.

Yeah, I've seen the old Rhino chassis. It was -painfully- small. Wasn't even proper sized to carry ten Guardsmen. They have come a long way on their things.
As far as Marines...
Wow. I'm liking their new rule where only a 10 man squad can take specials and heavies. Well...Mostly I just like it for the sake that my friend Taylor can't take his 6man LasPlas squads anymore.

Wow. I'm liking their new rule where only a 10 man squad can take specials and heavies. Well...Mostly I just like it for the sake that my friend Taylor can't take his 6man LasPlas squads anymore.Oh yeah, I've met players who min-maxed tactical squads with Plasma cannons, that was a terror...

okay, so now only a full ten man can take heavies. What about my army where we can break down into combat squads before the game, does that affect me at all?

Plastic molds cost more than metal molds. GW is one of the few companies that can afford the molds for plastic casts and make enough money to earn back the cost of making them. Though there are some others now, like the Perry Bros! Caleidah Yeah. Think how much larger the Baneblade would be if it was the 1:35 scale that the models are. I mean...seriously. (realizes she has small feet) sweatdrop The Hoss okay, so now only a full ten man can take heavies. What about my army where we can break down into combat squads before the game, does that affect me at all? Combat squads will be in the new marine codex, along with the possibility that certain heavy weapon will be free upgrades for ten man marine squads. It has been hinted at that the flamer will be free for five men squads and the heavy bolter for ten men squads, to promote their use more.

It applies to the "combat squads" that Lady Blodwynn referenced in her last post.

From what I heard, only tactical squads will get the free weapon upgrades. However, these ten man squads can still be split into squads of five, one with an assault weapon the other half with the heavy weapon.

I had never realized what kind of stuff the Blood Angels have. The Baal Predator? Sheeeyit. TL Assault Cannon with the ability to move as a Fast vehicle...arrgh...

H'oh yeah. It has a max move of 18", though, and that's only on a 4+. On a 1 it doesn't move that turn, on a 2-3 it moves as normal.
