Exotic_Memories it might be the best thing for him actually That is kinda true.. Might keep me from some stuff I seem to go back to when school starts and get to hangin' around some old ''friends".

I went to a privat Catholic school for 5 years. I was fine while I was there but looking back now, I was so sheltered and clueless about the rest of the world, I would never go back. Acedemically though, as soon as I transferred into public school I was suddenly considered and advanced student instead of lower middle. sweatdrop

Yeah, if I was trying to decide schools for my kids I wouldn't mind sending them to private school as children, but about the time middle school comes around it's time to transfer into the real world. I'd do it when they're still in elementry school though and tend to be kept in smaller still fairly sheltered classes so it'd be an easier adjustment. My parents tossed me straight into a public middle school where I only knew about 4 peopleand 3 ofthem were a year older so I never really saw them. It was a very very hard year.

That'd be about pointless, because middle school is about when it al starts happening.
You wouldn't need to "shelter" them in elementary school.

I wou;dn't want them super sheltered. But private school has it's good points including a strong academic start. If I wanted to keep them sheltered I'd stick 'em in private school and keep them there through highschool. The elementry school I went to is K-5 and then the catholic highschool is 7-12 and it's right across the street from my old public highschool.
