Alexis accelerated and moments before he surfaced shifted his tail into his legs and shot out of the hole, somersaulting twice in the air before landing in a rolling crouch. Fluidly, he let his hand snap out and grab the guitar. It was a song he'd written mere hours before finding Aoi and he thought she'd like it.

Trying to catch up, Aoi saw something glimmer on a rock a way down from where she was. She looked towards the cavern for a moment and then again to the sparkling object she saw. She darted down to it and she found that it was a very shiny, golden locket. She had thought about how it hadn't rusted, though she saw similar markings to those on the door and her choker and she thought that this may have been in a treasure chest like the one that she had found. She mumbled about it for a moment before taking off to the cavern, knowing Alexis would want to see the locket. Once she reached the cavern she said, "I'm sorry that I took so long to get back," she paused, transformed her tail to legs and then pulled herself out of the water. "I found this kind of close to the cavern entrance, though it was still out a ways." she said, holding out the locket that she'd found for Alexis to be able to examine it as she had done.{{ooc:}}

Alexis blinked, cocking an eyebrow at Aoi's first words since she didn't have to apologize; it wasn't like they were on any particular schedule while here. He examined the locket and cocked his head slightly as he instinctively translated its markings as the word 'storm', though what that could refer to was anyone's guess. 'I thought you'd like this," he said with amusement as he started playing the song. He sang in a low voice, though it was clear.

Aoi sighed to herself, thinking that her apology may have been unneeded, however, she did anyhow. She looked at Alexis' guitar and she listened to the music that was being played, while Alexis sang. She really enjoyed music and she listened with her full attention and when she heard Alexis stop singing she gave him a warm smile. "That was amazing. I don't think that I could ever put together something like that, but I honestly haven't tried. I probably could if I put my mind to it." she said as she nibbled her lower lip, trying to think of something that she could put into a song. There had been songs that she'd heard before, though she'd never come up with anything on her own. "I think that I remember a few songs that I have heard, though I don't think that I could sing them the way that they're supposed to be sung. I can't quite remember just where I had been when I heard the songs, though the women singing sounded beautiful. I wish I could sound like them, though I doubt I could..." said Aoi, slightly doubting her singing ability and her memory of the songs that she had heard, she more or less mumbled her last words, though they were still loud enough to be heard.{{ooc:}}

Alexis tilted his head. "Well, you never know what you can do unless you try it out," he said with amusement, unconsciously plucking out a rhythm without really realizing it.

Aoi sighed, knowing that Alexis was right, though she wasn't too sure that she'd be able to remember the songs very well. However, that did not stop her from thinking of what the songs, words and tune of the songs were. Once she had one in her mind she tried humming the tune, yet she didn't know what she sounded like, due to her not singing, humming or anything of the sort. She started humming a song and after a moment she started to sing the words to the best of her ability. She was subconsciously terrified that she'd mess up, though she kept going because Alexis had just sang a song for her and that made her somewhat feel like she had to sing for him. When she finished she held her breath, her face turning scarlet as she waited for Alexis to say something about the song and what he thought of her singing said song. She knew that she liked the song and what the song was saying, and she hoped that Alexis would as well.{{ooc:}}

Alexis shivered slightly. It was a beautiful song and the message was one of longing. "Damn, and you claim you can't sing; if there were birds down here, I don't doubt they'd gather around you faster than bees to honey," he said with amusement, teasing her slightly as she had a very beautiful voice.

Aoi's face became even redder as she listened to what Alexis had to say. "I guess that you're right. I only say that I can't sing because I wasn't really allowed to because of Father, though I have told you that before. I could probably sing more, though I would have to remember the words to the other songs I've heard while I was traveling around. I know that I ran from home, yet saying I was traveling sounds so much better than running away." she said as she tried remembering some of the other songs that she'd heard before, yet she wasn't going to sing anymore right then because she felt that one song was enough. She thought that she should let her voice rest, no matter how ridiculous that would have sounded to anyone if she'd have said it. She knew that she would probably sound silly, yet she had to ask. "Birds are those things that are in the sky, right? Those flying things? And what are bees?"{{ooc:}}

Aoi felt really clueless, due to having to ask so many questions about what things were. But she really wanted to learn what was what, just in case she had to talk to another human, although she really hoped that she'd not need to. "Ah ok... I guess that I'd have to see one to know what you're talking about, though I might not know what they are, even if I do see one, hehehe..." she said, rubbing the back of her head. A yawn escaped her and she stretched, realizing just how tired she really was.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled, tilting his head at the other hammock which he'd suspended not too far from himself. "Don't worry... for a second I didn't remember what one was myself... I guess my brain's been pickled from all the salt water," he joked. Admittedly, he hadn't seen too many bees in his life, though he had seen quite a few tropical birds.

Turning her tail to legs, Aoi climbed out of the water and she got to her feet. She wobbled some, though she did not fall as she tried making her way to where the hammocks were. She stopped and looked to Adrian as if asking which she could use. She then gave a reply to what he'd said previously. "It's all right. I don't mind if you didn't remember right away. And don't blame salt water!" she said, her last few words spoken in an agressive, yet playful manner. "Salt water doesn't do bad things to people, especially not people that are meant to live in it like us." she said, sticking her tongue out in a playfully immature way.{{ooc: I'm sorry about suddenly disappearing like that. The WiFi at the library spazzed and kicked me off for a while. Sorry again >.> I should have said something in the other RP, though forgot until right after I posted sweatdrop }}

_Hoshiyuri_ OOC - It's okay, I don't mind; we all have situations where things tend to kick us in places better left to ourselves, if you know what I mean. Alexis chuckled. "As beautiful as you are, it's done wonders for you, that's for certain," he teased Aoi, amused as he sat on one of the hammocks, the one a bit higher off the ground; both of them required a slight push off of the ground to get into them, but they were surprisingly warm once filled, though the blankets helped quite a bit.

Aoi walked over to the other hammock that Alexis wasn't using and she had to push herself up to get into it, yet she thought of that as a way to help exercise her legs. She blushed, hearing Alexis' words and she said, "Oh stop it, you're making me blush, again." she said as she lay back in the hammock, curling under the blankets. "This is so comfortable. I can't believe that I slept above the covers at home, yet with them being underwater they were mainly for appearance, so not many people used them anyhow. But the water wasn't too cold where I lived, so we really didn't have to worry all that much about freezing or anything. If there'd have been fear of that we'd have moved somewhere warmer." she said, yawning and curling up under the covers.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled. "So you likely lived near the tropics or at the very least the southern temperate regions, then," he said quietly, his tone thoughtful as he too yawned before falling into a light doze.
