Fey of Silver Light Janis smiled, pleased he was so excited. She looked back at the cave with the lava and chuckled. "Okay. I'll see you when you get back. It might get a little steamy in here." she called after him. She shook her head and turned to start taking care of the problem. The entrance was a tunnel only a dragon's length long. It was well made if still rough. Hearing Cornelius's entrance Samson looked out, his deep green scales a little dusty. "Come on in, I'm just trying to straighten this place up." he called. Inside was a large natural cavern, high and domed. The stalactites and stalagmites broken off and set aside. It was lighted by torches against the walls. There were a few tunnels lending back farther. One side was already smooth while another was still rough. Samson sighed as he sat down on the finished side and looked at the younger dragon with a tired smile. "It still needs work, but I'm getting there. So what brings you?" Cornelius stepped into the fairly lit cave, walking past all the broken stalagmites and stalactites. His hooves pawed against the grown as he sat in front of Samson and said, "My wife is pregnant right now, but I'm not exactly sure how to build her a proper nest. I don't want to leave her alone to do that, but I've already caused damage to our house I feel by opening up a lava bed." He did not like admitting this now after it had happened and wondered what he should do. Samson was smart, so he had to know something to alleviate his problem. For the moment Cornelius just stared at Samson hoping to suck the answer out of him at some point.

Samson chuckled. "Don't beat yourself up about it, son. We make mistakes and it wasn't totally dangerous. As dragons we do have large amounts of resistance to hot and cold as you well know. If the lava is covered, but not completely done away with, it will be an excellent place for the young ones to grow. nice and toasty warm. You were thinking on the right track, just slightly off. Don't want them stumbling in that." he said with a sympathetic nod. "There's no need to stare at me like that." he said, waving a hand. "I'd never hold anything back." His laughter rumbled through his chest. "How you and Janis make the nest is up to you. However, you'll need a place that will hold your clutch in place and keep them warm. I used sand. It should to the trick, if it's what you want. Also prepare a place for the hatchlings to sleep comfortably with their mother. She's not going to want to leave them much." he warned him ahead on time. "I hope there is enough room for all of you." Samson looked around him place with a sigh. So she was pregnant already. He couldn't wait to see little ones playing around. "Oh yes...." he said rising for a moment as disappearing through one of the tunnels. He returned with the bottle of blue pills. "I've kept them safe as you asked, but it's rather damp and dirt around here. I don't trust myself to keep them from being contaminated while I'm working. Perhaps you should take them back."

"That all sounds like good information to remember." He reached over with his hoof and took the bottle of blue pills from his claw. "And thanks for keeping these safe. They're special pills my family made if a female dragon I truly loved became pregnant, but maybe wanted to have speed their pregnancy along a bit. I doubt Janis will use them, but I have them just in case." Cornelius explained. He looked at the older dragon and added, "I'm going to maybe check on Janis and figure out with her what kind of nest we want to build." He walked towards the entrance of Samson's cave after saying these words and leaped from the edge, falling through the air before spreading his wings and using it to slow his descent to the canyon's bottom floor where he lived with Janis.

There was a thin layer of rock over the lava, still red with heat. Janis was in the corner resting, her eyes half closed. She felt comfortable at the moment and she could use a little break. She had got a little sick earlier, but it was already taken care of.

She had got a little sick earlier, but it was already taken care of. Cornelius padded through the steam over to Janis and sat down next to her. "Looks like you cleaned up the nursery quite well. He could see from where he was sitting a rock had been placed over the spot where he had opened up the lava bed. "If you're still awake I wanted to show you something." he stated as he pushed the jar he had towards her. "I'll explain what's inside, but I'd really like you to open it up."

Janis slowly raised her triangular head as he came in. A smile graced her features. "Welcome home." she said, enjoying the fact that she could say that. This was her home and it felt more like it everyday. She looked at the jar he set before her in a questioning manner. She looked at him suspiciously. However she would humor him. "Alright." she said and opened the jar. Inside were what looked like blue pills. "Medicine? Is this supposed to help with morning sickness?" she asked.

Cornelius looked at her and said, "I suppose you could say they are for that, but what they really are are pills to speed up your pregnancy. With them you can shave off one month of pregnancy, thus getting past your morning sickness a bit if you wish." He nudged the pills towards her wondering what she might decide.

Janis looked at them suspiciously again. Was that safe? It wouldn't harm the children would it? Then... she wouldn't know till she tried. She was undecided. She really didn't like throwing up. It was the worst when sick. Maybe... she could try it. Just this once. She picked one up between two claws and look back at Cornelius. He wouldn't give her something that would harm her. "I don't know about this but... I hope this is safe." She really didn't want to be sick again. She put it in her jaws before she changed her mind and swallowed. Nothing happened at first. She looked at her husband. "It didn't do anything...." She trailed off as a warm tingling spread through her abdomen.

Cornelius reached over and touched her belly. "It takes a few moments, but it is working. The pills don't cause any side effects as long as you don't take too many." He could feel it growing underneath his hand and voiced, "If you take one of these that would put you into your second month of pregnancy correct?" He used his tail to grab the jar and sealed the lid.

Janis nodded. "Yes. Most likely." she said. To her surprise, the sensation felt nice. But he was right. she didn't want to push her luck by trying anymore. "Where did you get those anyway, Cornelius? That quite amazing." she said. She reached down to feel her belly as well. She could feel it thickening slightly.

Fey of Silver Light Janis nodded. "Yes. Most likely." she said. To her surprise, the sensation felt nice. But he was right. she didn't want to push her luck by trying anymore. "Where did you get those anyway, Cornelius? That quite amazing." she said. She reached down to feel her belly as well. She could feel it thickening slightly. Cornelius put his hand over top of hers and said, "I got these from my parents I think they just had them lying around the cave I was in, so I brought them to your home in case you might want to use them." He smiled at her and nuzzled up against her neck. "If you still feel any problems with the pills or your pregnancy then just ask. You should mostly be okay I think because my mother once told me the sickness she got went away about a month after I was conceived." Strangely enough, while he said this his tail snaked around and tickled the bottom of Janis's scaly foot.

Janis chuckled leaning toward him. "Right now, I'm impressed. As long it doesn't effect our children by this fast rate of growth, them I'm fine with it. I might wait awhile to take the next pill though. I want to enjoy this. I can't believe were going to have a baby." she said excitedly. At first she was nervous, but the more she thought about it, the more excited she was. When his tail tickled her foot she yelped, pulling it away quickly. "Careful. That tickles." she informed him.

Cornelius pulled his tail away and let it loop around until it lay flat against her belly. "I think it's a good idea for you to enjoy your pregnancy too. I only brought the pills out in case you didn't want to maybe experience, perhaps some of the worst parts about it like possible back pains." He started to rub her soft belly and said, "I certainly wouldn't want to see your body swell up like a balloon. I believe if you take too many of the pills you end up gaining more weigh than you need. You might also possibly cause more eggs to form inside you. Though I have never seen these pills used I think they had an instruction booklet somewhere."

They were going to have a family. It was almost like a dream come true. "We can probably check later how many we're going to have. Whether one or more." she speculated. "Though. If the side effect was more children... I don't think I'd mind."

They were going to have a family. It was almost like a dream come true. "We can probably check later how many we're going to have. Whether one or more." she speculated. "Though. If the side effect was more children... I don't think I'd mind." "That sounds like a good plan to me too." Cornelius stated as a red blush came over his brown scales. "Just don't put on too much weight, or you'll be experiencing the exact same thing you did before your pregnancy." He remembered back to when she had put on weight to first become a dragon and wondered if her belly could handle this transformation. "I don't know about you, but perhaps we should change back to our human forms to see if you're okay in that way too. If you think it'll get too risky just shift back." Cornelius stated as he smiled at her. He continued to rub her belly with his tail now and noted that the scales were very smooth and flat.
