Theo's mind snapped back to the present when he felt warm fingers wrap around his hand. ...Oh crap. He slowly lifted his head and gaze, his eyes locking on her own. He let out a startled yelp and jump backwards, off the bed. The shock had left him unprepared and his knees gave way. He landed on the floor, on his back, with a grunt.

Elizabeth scrambled out of the bed as fast as she could, getting caught in the covers on her way. She fell but got right back up and went to his side. "Oh my, Theo are you okay?" she asked as she placed a hand on his chest and looked at his face with worried eyes. She didn't know he would react so badly to her awakening.

Theo stayed on his back, not wanting to move. He watched as she scrambled to his side, bringing some of the sheets with her. When he felt the warmth of her hand on his chest, he shivered noticeably. "Y-Yeah, I'm f-fine," he stuttered. His breathing was heavy and quick. His own eyes were filled with pain, but not an emotional pain or a .... well, kind of a physical pain. But it wasn't from falling off the bed in shock. It was from trying to keep himself under control.

Elizabeth felt the shiver beneath her hands and she knew the stuttering wasn't like him. She shook her head. He was just was stubborn as her. She looked at her legs that were still slightly tangled in sheets. She pulled them away before she stood. She saw the pain in his eyes and she felt a jab of guilt ride through her at the sight. She leaned down and held out a hand. "Well lets get you up off the floor then." she said motioning her hand to him to take.

Theo shook his head. "Just give me a m-minute," he said. Truthfully, he did want to get up, but he didn't think he could handle anymore physical contact with her. He closed his eyes tightly, forcing himself to take slow, deep breaths. Just two more days... just two more days, he thought.

Elizabeth sighed and she pulled her hand away. She didn't know why, but she wanted more contact with him. And to be rejected, well, it hurt. She leaned back up and watched him for a moment before she turned and began heading for the door. She wanted to take a cool shower, to cool off her burning skin. She could still fell his gentle touches on her skin. She placed a hand over her racing heart as she made her way out of the room and down the corridor toward the bathroom.

Theo didn't say anything, simply listening from his place on the ground as she left. He hadn't wanted her to go, but he knew it was for the best. Plus, he didn't really want her to see his.... condition. Though he was surprised she hadn't. It wasn't exactly subtle. After several minutes, he slowly started moving to get up. His lips were still tingling and warm from when they'd been touching her skin. That thought did not help, but it did bring a smile to his face.

As the cool water hit her hot skin she could have sworn it started steaming. She shivered at the coolness but she quickly got use to it. She faced the head and so the water splashed right into her face. She bowed her head and let the water beat on the top of her head and run down her back. Her black hair fell over her face as she closed her eyes. The image and felling of Theo over her, kissing her flashed in her head and her eyes shot open. She sighed and rubbed her face with her hands and then she began to wash her hair and body. Once she had finished with her shower she got out. The sweet scent of blueberries and strawberries flouted off of her. She wrapped a towel around her and made her way to her room and began to dress. She but underwear on and then she found loss cargo pants and a tanktop. She slipped them on and walked out and headed over to Theo's room. She wanted to cheak up on him and see if he was yet off the floor.

Theo rummaged through his dresser, muttering to himself. Finally, he grabbed a pair of black jeans and a pair of red boxers. Stupid hormones. He glanced down at his pants, frowning at the stain that was sure to form. Of course, he really had no one to blame but himself and he knew that. After he had gotten to his feet, the first thing he'd done was close the door. He stripped off his pants, tossing them in the hamper in the corner of his room. He took off his boxers and threw them in as well before changing into his clean clothes.

Once Elizabeth came to his room she noticed the door was closed. She frowned deeply. She raised her hand to knock but she stopped herself. He probably didn't want any company she figured. She stood at the door, her hand frozen in mid air. Her damp hair stuck to her face and her eyes bore into the door. She finally forced herself to move. Her footbeats could be heard leaving away from the door as she made her way back to her room.

Theo suddenly froze when he heard the sound of retreating footsteps. He buttoned his jeans and walked over to his door, opening it and sticking his head out into the hallway. He caught the scent of Elizabeth and closed his eyes, relishing the scent. He suddenly opened his eyes, shaking his head and letting out an irritated growl. He pulled his head back in and closed the door. So what if Elizabeth wanted to hang around outside his bedroom? Making his way over to the bookshelf, he snatched a book from it and started reading.

Elizabeth sighed deeply as she found a book she had read a million times over and plucked it out of the stack of books. She walked over to her window and opened it. She climbed up and sat down on the sill, her legs dangling over the edge. She leaned against the side and opened the book and began to read the horror book. After a few minutes she shut the book and threw it at her wall hard, leaving a slight dent in it. She sighed and looked down at the ground below her. She noticed that in only a couple days her and Theo would be crowned as rulers and he would start advoding her. Just the thought tho brought the stab of pain into her heart, which didn't make since. She didn't want this felling. She wasn't suppose to have this felling! And to have it made her all the more wanting to stay away from it.

Theo had opened the book and read a few pages but, now, he just stared blankly at the words, as if he'd never seen anything like them before. His mind wasn't even on the book in his grasp. Could he really be developing feelings for Elizabeth? Surely not? After the way they'd met and their initial feelings towards each other? They couldn't go from practically hating each other to actually liking each other in the span of a few nights, could they? It made his head ache just thinking about it.

Elizabeth didn't know what to do. She could fell her feelings for Theo growing inside of her and it frightened her. She thought it would be impossible for her to fall for him. She even acted mean and uncaring to him only a a day or two ago. She had actted like she didn't want this and at first she didn't. But know she didn't know what she wanted. She sighed and looked up at the sky. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked the sky. The only answer to her was a rush of wind that blew her hair around. She sighed at the answer and she let her head drop, her eyes closed. Just a few more days and then she could get away from Theo. Let him do all the ruling while she stayed behind the lines and watch. But for some reason, she didn't want that to happen. She wanted to be by his side at the thrown. Help him rule.

Theo sighed deeply and closed the book, setting it back on the shelf. This was hopeless. He stared at the shelf before him. All the books, his sketchpad. What was the point? He wouldn't have time for any of this in a few days. After the marriage, he would become king. That very thought stirred something in him. He turned and exited his room, leaving the door open. He walked through the maze of hallways until he came across what he was looking for. The faces in the paintings of his ancestors seemed to watch him as he passed. He finally came to a halt. He looked up at the painting, his eyes locking with his father's.
