Ceon got up from the couch tiredly, clutching his three broken fingers that each had their own little splint to reposition them. He opened the door and grinned as he let J.T. in. "You're very impatient, aren't you?"

Layna looked up, a growl low in her throat. She was being careful of those who approached her child, especially those she was unsure of. With Daiguren's warning still fresh in her mind, she felt it only a valid fear. Gabriel tensed slightly in response to her growl, and huddled in closer to her for the comfort of her warmth. "I'm sorry if I'm...protective at the moment." She murmured, her tone apologetic.

Ceon walked over and knelt to Layna's level, "Love, Gabriel needs his rest, and so do you." Ceon ran his hand over Gabriel's short hair. Gabriel was already yawing and falling asleep in his mother's arms.

Layna sighed, a shiver passing through her. She was completely and utterly exhausted, but in her eyes fear glistened. She was afraid to close her eyes, afraid that she would wake up to find that it had all been a dream. She looked up at Ceon, her eyes pleading. She was going to be stubborn about whether he liked it or not.

Ceon looked at her with serious eyes. "Layna, you just gave birth. You have to get some sleep, even if it means sleeping on the floor in Gabriel's room." Ceon tried to take Gabriel from her arms.

The hairs on the back of Layna's neck stood on end. She snapped apprehensively at him, her gaze soft even though she bared her teeth. Gabriel whimpered in his snoozing against the warmth of his mother. "No." She said quietly.

Ceon sighed in irritation and sat on the couch next to her. "You're going to stay up all night, aren't you love? Well, I may as well do the same. Gabriel will be waking up and falling back to sleep every few hours." Ceon looked at how adorable his son was asleep, his tiny hand holding firmly on Layna's robe.

"I think I may... fall asleep sooner or later...But I just can't get my mind to close my eyes." She murmured, touching the pink cheeks of her son gently. "There's been something on my mind lately... nothing bad," She lied for his benefit. She would not let him know about the threat. She kissed Gabriel's soft cheek, and he answered her with a gurgling noise that sounded like laughter.

Sibyl figured that she actually wasn't needed around the house. She'd done what she could and that was that. Ceon had used her splints and the towels she'd retrieved since they'd be wanting their baby to have a dry place to be able to return to. she'd cook for them but she didn't even bother with a stove nor microwave so she was useles in that department. However, she was a good hunter and she could also build things fairly well. "Well," Sibyl announced as she powered down her laptop and shut it off, "I'm useless here now so I'm going to get going. If you haven't bought one already, I can make you a decent baby monitor, mobile and other things if you'd like." She then shut her laptop as the screen went blank and shed her backpack in order to slip the laptop inside of it.
This place was getting too crowded and seeing the young cub was reminding Sibyl that she did miss home. Perhaps she was a lone wolf but she also liked some company from family at times so she planned to send her little brother and sister an email as well as her older sister. As for Ceon and Layna, she wasn't going to sit around waiting for a response seeing as she wanted out of there. "If you're needing to contact me then you can email me. I've got a sensor on it that sounds off if I get an email even though my laptop's off. Being a techie can have its advantages. Anyhow, congrats on the new cub. May he grow strong and healthy like his parents."

Ceon kissed her cheek, "I think I might be able to help." Ceon drew close to her ear and began to hum a lullaby that his mother sang to him when he was young.

Layna blinked, her head lulling as exhaustion added it's effects to the lullaby. Her whole body relaxed against Ceon, the warmth soothing. Even Gabriel's quiet gurgling had quieted as he fell into slumber. She sighed softly, her eyes fighting against the heaviness that threatened to close them. "Ceon..." She murmured, her tone stubborn, but quiet as a whisper from her lips. Her eyes blinked once, twice, and did not open again as she finally gave up, her body unwilling to continue. Her quiet breathing was the only sound that came from her.

Ceon layed a pillow at the end of the couch and layed Layna against it as he slipped his sleeping son from her arms. He genlty placed Gabriel into his crib and put a blanket over him. "Goodnight, my son."
