I haven't heard of anything. My only thoughts are that you might have had things for auction that you forgot about? (but then it would have sent you a neomail saying auction successful) or that you have another computer somewhere where you're logged in and someone else is playing games for you? Maybe check around some of the flash games and see if any are played for today that you didn't play? If it's a glitch, it's the first I've heard of where neopoints were gained on their own. The only other thing in the past that might compare would be when they went to backups and some people lost stuff and some people gained stuff, but all my stuff looks the same.

Good thoughts, but... overall status: .. bank account seems accurate .. SDB seems accurate .. pets are still there .. gallery is still there .. no auctions finally processed (haven't even been to auctions in weeks) .. did nothing other than dailies thismorning .. and another 200np added since I checked last time! .. only me, only this computer...
and i know this happened once before, can't remember to whom though, or what the final result was! This is eeeeeerrrieee.... off to check games.

Tab had this happen to her the last time there was a glitch. She ended up with over 100k and then after they straightened out the glitch, the took it away.

Greeaaaaatttt.... so NPs appear mysteriously, I'm afraid to go ON the site to earn my own (the browser crashing every 4 pages not-withstanding?!), then they'll take what I would have honestly earned away when they sort out the glitch a week later? Joy. *kicks Neo... HARD*
Thanks for the info, Rue. Last time I checked my account, the amount "on hand" had gone up again...

I find it really funny that when a glitch happens that gives you NP, they take them away once they fix the glitch, but if theres a glitch where you lose NP or items, then they dont give them back....like...they only do things that benefit them.

I lost over 500k in my bank account the first time they recalculated interest. And I lost a 1.9mil item in a trading post/language glitch when the ability to switch languages was still new. But then I suppose we always gain more than we lose, otherwise we'd break even.

morquarwen I dont think so, I think anyone can download the toolbar. Though don't quote me on that emo I think that's correct as well.... ::goes to check, providing IE doesn't kick me off Neo:: ...hmmm, yep! Here it is, right on the front page: Quote: Official Neopets Toolbar! Quick links to your dailies and favourite games, NeoMail alerts, and more! Best of all, it's FREE! Click here to get it now. Just a word of technical ... errm... awareness: These toolbars often have tracking software embedded in them - the kind that can not be removed with your traditional antispyware applications. This can slow down page loads, but as long as you don't mind your web activities being logged they can provide some handy features... Just FYI. ::thinks about downloading it herself since IE is so completely hosed already::

Hmm I for got about web activities being logged. Hope since its not in my IE it doesn't track what my mom does. She uses online banking. Let me know if it does and I should take the the toolbar off even though I have it on FF and not IE.
This morning at about 5:30am nst time the button was flashing and I got a spyder stamp.

Let me know if I should strip the toolbar if it still tracks even though I have it on FF and not IE. This morning at about 5:30am nst time the button was flashing and I got a spyder stamp. It should be browswer-specific (so FF should be "safe" if you have it on IE only), but it really depends on how the toolbar is coded - whether it's an "instant send" of info each time you click a page, or if it's captured per browser session and sent when you close the browser, for example.
