Larissa blinked "Oh" she hadn't actually looked at the prices yet. She just assumed that since the materials were magical, like most magical things they were going to be expensive. "Oh, okay then. Maybe I will buy some" she consented, feeling a bit embarrassed for her assumptions.
"Right, yes, I get that they are tools. But that was a mean comment to make, as though he doesn't care if my sweet Poff gets hurt. He had no right to talk about her like that. She never did anything to him" she defended her familiar. She loved her a lot and was very protective of her.
"Like I said before, I would never give her anything that would hurt her. A few enchanted beads, well, it depends what the enchantment is but, I highly doubt that a kitty batting beads around the floor would be dangerous unless they have some dangerous enchantment or use. Of course I'm going to check all these things before I let Poff play with any of them! I am just taking her cat instincts into consideration, which is why I said she could play with some of the materials" she said.
She then lifted her eyes to the spool Garnet was showing her, and lowered her hand from her Familiar when Garnet explained what they were. "Threads of...thought?" Larissa looked confused and she tried to process just what that meant, her brows furrowing together. It was hard to wrap her mind around the fact that thoughts and dreams could be made into thread and used. "That sounds really cool, but also really powerful and risky to work with. I don't know if I'm comfortable using something that advanced" she admitted nervously. "Yeah, I think I'll just go with the plain materials" she said, relaxing a bit. "After all, if those threads are as powerful tools as they sound, we might only need one dreamcatcher made of those to prevent the nightmares. But making extra couldn't hurt!" she smiled again, "You work with those. I'm more comfortable making it with normal thread" She followed Garnet to the aisle of feathers, staying in the middle of the aisle so that she and Poff wouldn't accidentally brush against anything.
She then spotted a book "Aha! Garnet look! A book about how to make dreamcatchers!" she laughed a little "Fancy that being here when it's just what we need" she picked it up and paged through the book, looking at the different designs. She saw one that looked like a crescent moon and star with white feathers on the bottom. And some easy but bright colourful ones that any age from kids to adults could make. "I'm going to buy this for us" she decided. "I'll meet up with you soon, just gonna go around and find the embroidery threads and hoops"

When Larissa made the comment about Poff getting hurt, I paused to close my eyes as I shook out my hair, thinking. I was remembering what Gossamer and Sapphire knew about the classes he taught, how the tiger acted then.
"He doesn't know Poff." I said. "So why would he?" I asked. "He teaches several classes of more then a dozen varied familiars each. He has to figure out what their abilities are and help them unlock them, while also resolving conflicts between familiars and making sure that they do not get seriously hurt. He has to challenge them and get them to want to get better and grow, get them to see that they need to contribute to the mage familiar bond rather then just taking from it. To get them to realize that they can proudly walk on their own four feet, or fly with their wings, not needing to use their mage as a perch. What dignity for a familiar really means. To not be afraid to get their paws or claws dirty. They are partner, not a pet, nor a child to be coddled. Considering all of that, If he had the energy to care about a complete stranger, I'd be surprised." I opened my eyes again. "Seems like Poff is not the only spoiled rotten familiar around."
I then strugged. "And that's the nature of magic. It's weird and unpredictable and what may be considered safe might do something random and out of the blue."
I then shrugged. "Or are we forgetting how I randomly turned into a dragon, considering what the spell was supposed to do?" I let that hang in the air a bit.
The notion of strings and cloth made out of thought made me smile. "Well, I don't mind. I've actually used this stuff before." I looked at it. "So I know what I'm doing." And that was true. One might be more then needed, but if I was making dreamcatchers I was making dream-catchers. I am going to go all out.
I was considering something between the midnight feathers of a Nocturne owl or the soft white feathers of a dream dove when Larissa noticed the book on dream-catchers.
"Oh? Nice." I grinned. "That'll be useful."

"Well that was still a really mean thing to say, even if he doesn't know her" she replied. "He didn't have to say it like that"
She listened to Garnet speak about him, but she was frowning. She didn't like the tiger.
The comment about familiars using their mage as a perch upset her "Hey I only let Poff sit on me because I want her to sit on me. She can walk on her own but I feel better having her close to me where I can protect her. I've been letting her walk beside me more often since we talked. As for the rest of the stuff, well, you treat your familiars like that if you want to, but I'm going to treat Poff the way I like to, and if you're going to judge me and her for that then so be it. Poff isn't going to his stupid classes - ever. She's going to learn and grow right here beside me where she's safe. With someone who does care about other people, even if they are strangers".
She stroked Poff. "Hey stop calling her spoiled. I've been trying to change how I treat her lately, and she's been trying too. We're just going at our own pace"
"Well it's not always random and unpredictable. We can control some of it. Some things are reliable" she argued about magic. "For instance Poff played with the gem fish in the bath and it was fine. And I haven't forgotten. I just think you're making a bigger deal out of this than necessary and you're taking that tiger's side. Some of Poff's toys at home have spells or enchantments in them and those don't hurt her. I don't know why you're siding with that tiger" she huffed, refusing to call Brutus by his name.
They next got onto talking about the parabola threads and such and she calmed down. And then she had found the book of dreamcatchers. Larissa gathered up plain craft supplies for making hers and went to the checkout to pay. She looked around for Brutus and Lilian, hoping they weren't still in the shop.
She didn't dislike Lilian but she wasn't happy that the woman had said nothing to defend her Familiar. Oh well, the witch got what she came here for. Now she had thread, and hoops, and fluffy white feathers, and a few other things. She picked out bright happy colours for the simpler dreamcatchers (the one kids could make), and stuck to blue and white colours for the crescent moon and star catcher.
Come to think of it, she was getting hungry again, and she kind of had to pee. Hmf, these pregnancy symptoms were still present. She felt like she'd been pregnant forever without any progress, and was impatient to remove the stasis spell. That thought excited her. She was scared, but she also didn't want to be stuck like this forever. She wanted her baby to grow and be born.

I watched her get angry about 'the tiger' as if his passing comment had meant a death wish against Poff. Overprotective much? I just rolled my eyes; we had argued once about the topic of familiars, I'm not going to fight with her on this a second time. She calmed after the change of topic to the thread, then wandered on her way to find her mundane materials.
I shrugged and went about my own shopping. This whole argument once more was making me re-think this relationship with Larissa. She can take care of her own child the way she likes, but what of my hatchling? Do I really want her to coddle a dragon hatchling?
As I looked for beads, I encountered Larissa and Brutus among the shelves. I smiled at them as they accompanied me towards the checkout. I saw Larissa buying her things out of the corner of my eye, but I wasn't particularly happy with her so I kept with my conversation with Brutus and Lilian.
"So how is Sapphire faring?" I asked, as I put the rolls of enchanted string and special woods, and packages of beads at the checkout. The one mundane thing I had was some strips of felt for wrapping around the hoops. Lilian had a basket under one arm.
"She is doing well." Brutus said. "She learned her first power a few weeks ago. Application of force on her wingbeats." The tiger seemed to give a long, growling purr. He seemed proud of Sapphire. "She's also been very clever with it. She can use that ability to push others away, and to lift heavier objects then normal-- among other things."
This made me feel proud of my bat familiar myself. "That's great! I'm glad to hear it. And Gossamer?"
Brutus seemed to laugh. "Crows are rare familiars but always smart and fast to learn. He is on his second." He said. "I'm sure you've seen him pull his illusions. Now he can mimic any sound he hears." Said the tiger. "He can do far more then just kaww."
I grinned, happily at the thought of the two of them doing well. "Thank you for being a good teacher. I didn't even know where to start with those two."
He bowed his head, before lifting it, his soft round ears perking back up. "It is no problem. They both are wonderful students, and learning very quickly. I look forward to class with them today."
As we talked I had paid for my materials and Lilian paid for Brutus's as well as the things she needed, and the three of us strode out of the shop. Larissa can make her way home on her own just fine.
"It's a nice day today." I said, looking around as my breath was lightly puffing.
"Ha! Finally someone who doesn't b***h about the cold." Brutus said. "My pelt is unimpressed by the cold."
Lilian just smiled, before starting to glow with green fire. Surprisingly, it didn't seem to smell.

She finished paying for her things at the counter and got them in a bag. She then looked around for her girlfriend but didn't see her anywhere. "Garnet?" She wandered around the shop looking for her. She was starting to feel upset and when she couldn't find her, so she went outside to look and still couldn't find her.
She realised that Garnet had left without her. Larissa felt her head go numb as anger flared up inside. That b***h! That was such a hurtful and spiteful thing to do! Just leaving without saying anything. First she takes the side of the tiger a*****e who implied Poff should get hurt to teach her a lesson. Then she said all these nasty comments about Poff, implying she was just a leech and that Larissa was coddling her. Those comments hurt but they made Larissa angry too. Did she think familiars were worthless if they weren't contributing to the bond somehow? If they weren't being useful tools to aide the magic user.
Poff was more to her than just a tool. She was...she was...she wasn't a child. Or a pet. But...She mattered so much to her.
Larissa was shaking and she had tears in her eyes. She sank down on the sidewalk outside and cried angry and upset. She didn't feel like making dreamcatchers any more. She didn't feel like going home. It wasn't her home anyway, it was Garnet's. She was just letting her stay there. She sobbed. Poff nudged against her with a soft trill.
"I'm sorry. I agree, the things said were hurtful and mean. But we'll be okay" she said softly. "You do treat me like...well...I suppose more of a child and pet than a partner. But I've always liked that. I feel very loved. Besides, who says we have to conform to the unspoken rules? You're doing what you think is best for me. And I appreciate that" the cat said, trying to calm the distressed, pregnant, hormonal woman down.
She stroked Poff, still crying hard. "I don't want to go back"
Poff nuzzled her "You don't have to. Let's just spend some time together, you and I. We can do things our own way. After all, we have both been working at bettering ourselves, like you said" she licked her cheek, tasting the salty tears."Slow and steady wins the race. We don't have to be the best or most powerful people in the world. We just have to be happy doing what we do. And that's okay"
"Snow Poff, I love you so much" she hugged her, placing kisses on her. "Thank you for your words. They help me"
"I love you, too, my little witch" the cat said. "If it would make things easier between you and Garnet, I'll study familiar training on my own time, and with you. And I can learn my abilities at your side, where you want me to be"
"I would like that" she tearfully replied, wiping at tears with her hands and drying them on her dress. "I feel so...my head's all fuzzy and I can't breathe" she hiccuped.
"Let's go somewhere and calm down" Poff patted her cheek with her paw. "Let's have a nice cup of tea, and some cake. And read a nice magazine. How about the Cat Familiar mag? It has so many nice things, and the kitten stories are cute. There's puzzles in the back too"
"How am I going to talk to Garnet?" she wailed, "She hates me now. I know she does. She left me behind" she sobbed harder again.
"She doesn't hate you. You two just had a disagreement. You have different opinions and views about Familiars. And probably about other things too. It's completely normal to have arguments in relationships"
"Poff, how do you know that?" she sniffed, and reached for a tissue from her pocket, blowing her nose.
"I've been allowed on the internet, remember? And I study humans and relationships. And Seraph is very wise. He told me that" she admitted. "When we argued. And I thought it was the end of the world. Anyway, let's go and calm down, and then when we are calmer, we can face Garnet again and maybe make up. And I will do better to try and make things peaceful between you. I can't promise my purrsonality will change but my actions may".
Shakily, she got to her feet, cuddling Poff in her arms, her bag of craft materials on her arm. "Okay" she said in a small voice. "Thank you. You're a good girl, Poff" she kissed her head. "Guess I'll call a taxi" She put Poff on her shoulder and got her phone out.

Some time later found me parting ways with Lilian and Brutus. The two of them were like peas in a pod, and the tiger was having a grand old time telling me about how my familiars were growing and learning. Some things they hadn't even shared with me, like Sapphire's use of force, was amusing and amazing. I was so happy to have those two.
Next I stopped by the nursery, picking up the rest of the trees that Larissa had encouraged me to get yesterday. The garden was going to be sparkly and colorful when Aria is done with these!
I took them home, and got right to work planting the trees. Soon enough there was a small forest of gemstone trees, in all different shapes and colors. I watched the garden expand to hold them all, and not look clustered or cluttered.
I let out a long sigh. I had dirt under my claws, a slight sheen of sweat. I felt good.
I headed inside to wash up and started the dream catchers. I was surprised to see Larissa not home, but I shrugged it off. She might be shopping again. Larissa likes shopping a lot.
I sat down and got to work making the dream catchers. I made several, one with a winding tree pattern, another with a spiralling galaxy pattern decorated with diamonds. I hung the dozen dreamcatchers around the bed. They were bright, colorful, and would no doubt leave our dreams untainted by the demonic spell.
How long had I been working? I had been expecting her to be home by now. Had I accidently upset her? I scratched my head as I thought about it, before deciding to do some shopping of my own. Perhaps a make-up gift. Or a cake. Soon enough I had stepped through a door onto the mall, and I glanced around, before heading to her favored gem shop. There's always something there she would like.

While Garnet was being productive and entertaining herself, Larissa was not being productive at all, but she was entertaining herself, and thinking over everything as well. She felt anxious about going home and seeing Garnet. She didn't know what her girlfriend would say. But she didn't want to argue any more. She realised this was the second fight they had and it was again about familiars. Maybe it was a topic where they would both have to agree to disagree on some things.
Her head started to clear and she started to slowly feel better, little by little. She was still sad and hurt, so she tried comforting herself by talking to Poff, and reading the magazine with her. They worked on the puzzles in the back together, and Larissa smiled at the cute kitten stories. She was able to visit the restrooms while at the little cosy cafe, and wash her face and pee like, three different times. Maybe that was the amounts of tea she was drinking, probably exacerbated the preggy side effects.
She also had bought herself a decently large piece of vanilla strawberry cream cake and the sugar made her mood improve too. Poff sat on the table and demurely lapped at a saucer of cat milk and a plate of extra fishy, chewy biscuit treats.
The two had gone to somewhere that usually made Larissa feel happy and held good memories. The Mall. She had picked the Caribbean Blue cafe.
Poff looked at the bag of untouched craft supplies. "You know, you can still make some dreamcatchers. Even if you're not sleeping in the same bed together, it would be useful to have some around you. Maybe put them round your bed in the dorm room? Considering there's a chance you and I might be sleeping there tonight"
Larissa sighed heavily "Don't remind me" she frowned. "But I guess it wouldn't hurt to just look at the book" she curiously got it out and began flipping through the pages.

I wandered into the shop, thinking about the last time I had been in here. She had fawned over the enchanted jewelry, and she had bought me the enchanted earcuff.
The lady smiled at me when she saw me. She glanced at the earcuff and smiled wider. "Hello there, dear. How are you liking it?" She asked.
"It's really helpful." I said, letting a random uncut stone float over to me and I looked at it, before floating it back.
She smiled at me as I strode up to the jewelry case and looked it over. "So what are you looking for today?"
A couple things." I said. I found the catalauge and started flipping through it, thinking. I paused when I saw something on the pages. I nodded to myself.
"This one." It was a hair-clip with a gemstone carefully carved to look like a rose. "Pink Topaz, as close to raspberry pink as you can get, with Emerald leaves, silver metal." I said.
"What kind of enchantment?" The lady asked, inputting the order into her computer.
"Magical Amplifier on the rose." I said, thinking.
"Fantastic." She said with a smile. "This'll be done in a few hours. Punk Topaz is something not commonly asked for."
"Good." I said. "That means it'll be unique."
"Anything else?" The lady asked.
I put in an order for a couple more items, things I'd save for Christmas. I old the woman I wanted the hairpin done as soon as possible, and the other stuff the artist can take their time on. The box would be red with green ribbon.
The price for the whole purchase was over a grand, but I didn't care. I spent more then that on my clothing, what with these changes I'm going through. She returned my card to me and I continued to loiter around the shop a bit, looking at stuff, before wandering back out into the mall. Might as well get some food while I'm here... I headed for my favorite sushi place at the food court.

Larissa was still at the cafe with Poff. It was comfortable and relaxing so she decided to just stay and enjoy it. She ordered another piece of cake and fruit frappe and slowly nibbled on them while looking through the dreamcatcher book. There were over 100 designs, each with instructions and a list of materials.
Poff swayed her tail slowly to and fro while she looked at the designs. "I think it's a good thing you chose some simple crafts to start with. You'll be able to make a lot of them quickly" she said. "The star and moon one is nice, but it's going to take a bit longer"
"That's okay. I'll just work on it in my breaks and free time after classes. I don't know if I'll try making one today. I just...we were going to make them together" she looked sad, stirring the straw in her frappe.
Poff nudged her hand. "You can still make them together. Once you both get over things and make up I'm sure Garnet would help you. And I can help you with enchantments of gems and crystals if you still want to put those in. With me amplifying your magic, the spell should last for a couple of months instead of a couple of weeks. You have that scroll too."
"Oh yeah, almost forgot about that" Larissa smiled, she scritched Poff around her neck and under her chin, listening to the purr that started up. "Okay...thank you. It will be interesting to try out your ability. But..huh? What?" Poff was looking towards the entrance of the cafe that faced the mall. She sat up and her ears perked up.
"I thought those footsteps sounded familiar" she muttered, and Larissa soon spotted a familiar figure walking past the cafe. The purple scales that looked like gems, with the white flecks that looked like stars. The wings, the long tail, and the red hair and claws. That was definitely Garnet. But what was she doing here? She was heading to the food court. Maybe she had cravings for something in particular.
Larissa felt awkward. Without really thinking, she picked up the dreamcatcher book and tried to hide behind it. "We're not here!" she whispered to Poff.
The cat chuckled. A funny sound from a cat. "Larissa..." she started, about to point out that doing that only made her more obvious. But she let it go. It was kind of funny watching her partner's reaction.

I settled down at the restaurant, and the chef lady inquired on what I wanted. I asked for a large order, though it would be no more then a snack for me. Several different types of nigiri and 4 rolls, I smiled and licked my lips as my tail swished back and forth behind me. The chef, since I was a regular customer, asked if I would be willing to try her red hot wasabi miso soup. If I downed it all without water she'd give me my meal for free.
I accepted the spicy soup and ate it slowly, watching the owner as she grinned. The soup was yummy, really spicy and it cleared my sinuses. I finished the bowl and asked for more, and the woman relented and let me have my feast,
I ate my fill, before heading out into the mall again. I walked back out past the cafes that dotted the entrance of the food court, heading back into the main mall. What should I do? I wondered as I wandered back into the mall. I still had an hour to kill before the hairclip would be ready. I didn't even know if Larissa would be around here, or if she had gone back to the house yet.

Larissa peeked back out once she heard the dragon's footsteps fade back into the mall background noise. She sighed in relief "Phew!"
Poff shook her head and laughed. "You can't avoid her forever Larissa. She was heading to the food court, probably to the sushi place or some other place she always goes to" the cat's tail waved back and forth conversationally.
"Sure I don't feel too happy about some of the things she said, but who cares? I'm not listening to her, I'm listening to you" The cat looked thoughtful, then sat up straight as though she had an idea.
"When we see her walk back past, you should say or do something to get her attention!"
"What? No!" Larissa cringed and curled in on herself, hugging the book to her like a shield. "Nooo! I can't face her yet. Not after....after she left me and...she...I just..."
"Get over it. I'm sure Garnet already has. Did she look upset to you? To me it looked like she was hungry"
"Nnnnn...all right, all right. I'll do it. But I don't want to fight again. If she's angry we'll run away!"
"Good plan" Poff snickered. They waited while Garnet ate her big meal and Larissa finished her juicy frappe and cake. She spotted Garnet walking back past the cafe. "Quick, get on my shoulder"
Poff leaped onto her shoulder with ease and pointed a paw "Now follow her!"
Larissa groaned and tried sneaking behind Garnet, staying hidden behind her dreamcatcher book while peering over the top of it, and hiding in the crowd, or behind mall signs and potted plants.
"This is ridiculous" Poff whispered, snickering some more. "She's bound to detect us"
"Not you; you're stealthy and silent. My shoes are making noise" Larissa whispered back.
"As if she could tell those apart from all the other shoes on this floor" the cat whispered back. The two continue trailing Garnet, following her as sneakily as they could.

I wandered through the mall, feeling a little bit aimless in where I was going. How am I going to kill an hour?
I decided to pay a visit to a tailor who's shop I frequented in the mall. The clothes there were rather expensive, but I need a decent sized wardrobe and I'm growing out of most of my clothes rather quick like-- this spellweaving tailor was good at making clothes that fit me and kept fitting me.
I stepped into the shop, looking at the racks of clothes and considering them. I towered over the people in here, sorting through clothes. I swished my tail back and forth as I heard a group of voices talking to another.
"No! You girls, get out of my shop!" Declared the voice. I turned to see that-- hey, those are those three women that were giving Larissa a hard time at the Masqurade on Halloween. I frowned to see them talking to the tailor; a short, thin as a stick woman with bobbled black hair and round glasses, wearing dark blue. Around her neck was a gold and black banded cobra who was taking a nap. "I will not serve you! Out!"
"Are you three bothoring people again?" I asked, slinking up, my tail waving back and froth. "Shoo."
The leader of the three, a tall blonde bombshell, gave me a smile with a flirty half-lidded gaze. "Oh, hello. Garnet, was it?"
"That's my name." I said, turning to the Tailor. She smiled up at me.
The blonde stepped between us. "And how are you doing?"
I tilted my head to look past her. "I'm thinking of something in green and gold, maybe?"
The tailor thought about that. She smiled. "Halter top, like always? I have a jumpsuit idea that would look just fantastic on you, Dahling. It would have to be a very specific shade of green..."
The fact that I was actively ignoring them bothered the three. One of the other girls tugged on my wrist; her hair was a shiny brunette. "Excuse me, don't you know that it's rude to ignore people?"
"It's also rude to talk about people behind their backs." I said in return; the tailor already had a sketchbook in her hand, drawing out what would most certainly be a stunning design.
My comment made the blonde smirk. "And you're the one who's socializing with people outside of the status quo. What does that girl do for you?"
I frowned and raised an eyebrow. "What girl?"
The three were silent as they stared at me. "The fat one."
I frowned. "She's really cuddly. You wish you were as delightful to hug as her." I said, before turning away with my nose in the air and a hmph.
"Like that's all she does for you." One of them tittered.
"At least I'm not socializing with diseased barbie dolls." I snapped back.
"My word!" One said. "How dare you!?" "Watch your tongue, you overgrown pule of scales!" Clearly they had taken offense to that. Which I wasn't unhappy with.
I also heard laughter, and I glanced over to see that my tailor friend was doubled over laughing. The three didn't look happy about that either.
And... seriously? One of them is pulling a knife? The third girl, who had long inky straight black hair had a long, thin, gleaming straight blade in her hand. They look ready too...
"Hey, don't you dare." I said, stepping over to get between the woman who clearly was feeling stabby, and my tailor friend. I reached out to stop her and the woman whipped around, slashing up at me.
I leaned back, out of the way but the thin blade had grazed my face. I could feel something warm dripping down my cheek. She had cut me!
I snarled and I felt an abrupt stlick as suddenly I was covered in spikes. Up and down my spine, on my arms and wings and tail. It hurt, it hurt a lot, actually, but I was too angry to care. I withdrew said spikes on my tail and whipped around, smacking the woman who had cut me with my tail and sending them flying across the room. She hit the wall with a shriek and a groan.
I could see the other ones readying spells, when the tailor had enough. "GET OUT OF MY SHOP!" She shrieked; her cobra remained asleep as three scarves jumped off the racks and proceeded to latch onto the three spoiled brats-- latching on tightly enough to apparently make the three run off. A few moments later the scarves returned, slithering like snakes into the back room-- likely to be washed.
"Thank you, Dahling." The tailor woman, Olivia, said. "Ah didn't see the girl with the knife coming." She retreated behind the counter to retrieve a medkit. She gestured to me and I knelt, lowering my head so that she might sanitize the cut and bandage it up.

She and Poff had tailed Garnet right up to the store, but Larissa chose to hide around the corner and peek in rather than go right into the store. She couldn't believe her eyes, or her ears. Those bratty girls! She hissed a soft breath in. How dare they talk to Garnet like that! Ooh, the clothes in here were pretty~! No, wait, gotta focus on the people.
She watched Garnet stand up for her and defend her and her heart fluttered in her chest, a feeling of warmth pooling in it nicely. She was so tall, so beautiful. And she was defending her. She gasped when the black haired girl drew a knife and lunged at Garnet, then nearly ran inside when Garnet's defensive sonicwing spikes appeared. Poff held her back "No, wait! It's dangerous. Just watch - ha! Good one Garnet!" the cat cheered softly as the dragon woman sent the mean girl crashing into the wall with a good whack of her tail.
Larissa flinched at the tailor's yell, and stepped back to hide behind the rack of clothes outside the door as the three girls fled the shop screaming and being chased by scarves. She watched them disappear and then the scarves slither back into their home.
She peeked back into the shop, worried for Garnet and the injury to her cheek. The tailor was talking to her. Larissa decided it was safe to come out. Her eyes filled with tears as she approached and then hugged Garnet side on "You got hurt. For me. I'm sorry. Thank you for standing up for me" she hugged her tight, grateful tears dripping. Poff jumped from her shoulder onto the counter of the store. She looked around "You wouldn't happen to tailor things for familiars would you?" the cat asked hopefully.

Olivia had turned away to fetch the antiseptic when Larissa emerged from the racks of clothes, before hugging me. I blinked, before smiling gently and rising to my feet, scooping Larissa up into a hug and just hugging the woman like she was a teddy bear.
Olivia looked up at me, holding my girlfriend like a teddy. "Ha! I can see why you say she gives the best hugs, Darling~"
I was just hugging her. I dunno why, I just really wanted to hug her. I eventually just sat down on the floor with Larissa in my lap so Olivia could tend to the cut. I carefully let the spikes on my tail extend, as I did not want to poke either Larissa nor Olivia with them.
"It's okay. It's okay." I said, still hugging Larissa as the tailor gently used some hydrogen peroxide on my cheek. I glanced to Olivia. "Be careful. My blood is poisonous."
Olivia smiled at me, carefulky holding the hydrogen peroxide covered cotton ball in her hand. "I shall make a note!" She said, retreating back behind the counter to wash her hands and fetch some latex gloves. She returned and gently smeared a paste along the cut and then stuck a bandage over my cheek where the cut had been. "There we go! Just leave that alone for a while and you wont even get a cut, Darling~"
She then looked to Poff, who had hopefully asked her about familiar clothes. "Usually when I make clothes for familiars, it is for snakes or lizards." Was the Tailor's answer. "They need the warm cloth the most." She gestured to her own familiar, wrapped in a soft black tube of cloth that somehow made it look like the snake was wearing a turtleneck. "You have lovely fur, kitty. It would be a shame to cover it up."

Larissa was mumbling into the hug "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for upsetting you". She heard Olivia and looked up, blushing. "Oh, th-thank you" she squeaked. She wiped her tears on her blue wool dress sleeve. She moved a little so Olivia could tend to Garnet's knife wound. "I do like to cuddle".
She moved aside a bit more when Olivia came back with some paste and a dressing and finished fixing Garnet up. "Thank you. For helping Garnet" She looked back up at her girlfriend "Sorry that you got hurt defending me. Those girls are always causing trouble. They think just because they're rich and have good figures and nice things that it makes them better than everyone else. They probably just wanted to learn magic because they think it makes them look good".
The white cat with yellow eyes and a sparkly collar looked a bit disappointed at first, but then preened at the praise to her fur. "Why thank mew, my partner brushes me once a week and sprays special shampoo and conditioner into it. So it smells nice too. Though I must admit I can't help wanting to be fashionable like you humans at times".
