"No one else here but me and the books and the soothing sound of rain and thunder outside." Black said, still looking through the books. He noted a few more, writing them down in his mind. There was a strange smile coming on to his face. Though it was hardly visible from her position.

Katherine looked around again maybe she was imagening things. "I am sorry. I get jumpy some times. She looked down to his books. On the book he had opened she looked at the other page. Not the one for the posions he was looking for. "Willow bark works better than rasberry leaf." She spoke. It was a pain relief medicine.

"I know, though taking note of different ingredients is what I do." Black said before she moved away. Though he couldn't believe how well this was working. He did look different after all, but he figured his mannerisms were much too like his old self. Guess there was more to this then he though. Though he kept noting everything he could find.

Demitri banged his head agaisnt the wall repeatedly, his face shining with silent tears. They were cut off short by the voices of the gods in his head. He was temtped to pluck them out with his sword but was too frightened to kill himself. He banged his head a little harder as the gods' voices rose over the banging sound. "WILL YOU SHUT UP!!" he shouted at them and continued banging his head against the wall until it bled.

Sonia reached out her hand and allowed the rain drops to quickly puddle onto her palm before overfilling it. She smiled and said, "This is nice..."

Katherine had serched the entire libary up and down away from him she came back and watched him for a moment before saying anything. A picture of Black working on his book. She felt slightly choked up at the thought of it. She pushed the sharp memmory away. "You like this stuff, what about magery?" She asked lightly with a smile on her lips.

"While I'd like to be able to, I am incapable of using it." Black replied, flipping through a page. Though even if he was powerless, it didn't mean all of his talents were gone. He could multi-task like no other person on the planet. Again, he flipped through some pages, noting each recipe. "We've had a sneaking suspicion that it's the affliction our family has carried that's the cause of it. Ruining the natural balance of our body and spirit which is required to commune with the elemental spirits." He said, a little bit of his original self showing, but not like it wasn't common knowledge to practitioners of elemental magic.

"I had a friend once that was good with such things. He could have been a lot of help to me still." She smiled though and out of his stack of books was his book. The book she had published. "Here this is one of his." Handing it to him. "Its very good."

Hector had just ran out of his room he saw Demitri, the on going storm had scared him alittle although he would never admit it. He saw the blood on demitri and whimperd alittle. "Are you okay?" He spoke in that child like voice. He tugged some at Demitri's sleeve.

Looking down at the book, he froze in absolute shock. How could this be explained? He knew he asked her to do it, but his thoughts were clouded with hate he thought she'd never get to it. It was his book, something he had written. He didn't finish the exact last page, but he left the note to tear it out. Then he started to look through it, all his writings in a neat book. He closed it carefully and felt his heart beating fast. Though he tried to think of an excuse for his behavior. "I heard his name before... I can't remember where." He said, looking up to Katherine.

"O..well.." She sat down and took the book running her hand over it in a delicate manner. "Black was a friend, he was also my arch mage and close adviser." She smiled now thinking about him. That ment she rembmerd him well. "I wish i could tell him how well his book has sold in sotores and importers. I gave the first copies away but there was such a demand for them." She smiled thinking of him in here writeing it.

"Then I should probably say this..." Black began, wondering if he should finish it. "I actually met him. He told me of a beautiful girl he knew. Her smile could stop you dead in your tracks." His heart was racing faster and faster and his skin grew pal again. He gulped and continued. "He told me how even though he was her senior by a few years, that he was going to marry her. That even though they had been foster siblings, that he loved her that much." After that he started to breathe more heavily, but now he wondered how she felt about that info. In another form, he basically revealed to her everything he ever wanted with her.

She gave only a polite smile her eyes clearly hid something. He would know that she was good at that with outsiders. "Black was a good man i am sure he would have been good for whoever that was." Her smile faded to notie his breathing and paleness. "Are you okay?" She just looked worried now.

As he heard her his heart almost plummeted like a heavy boulder into the ocean. He was wondering why she never caught on to it. Then again, Katherine was a master of hiding the truth. "I think I'm fine..." He said, his face filling in a little bit. "I think he meant you, Katherine." He said, smacking his hand to his mouth. Saying her name like that... and at the moment he wasn't one of her trusted friends.
