"Thanks Summer," Sangre breathed, getting out of the car with Yuzuki in her arms. "Well, almost there." She smiled down gently at the younger lycanthrope. "Don't worry hun. You'll be feeling a bed soon."

"Dude, are you kidding?" Sangre asked in disbelief. "This is a ******** MANSION! Of COURSE it's cool!" Using the smell lingering on the keypad, Sangre entered the code and unlocked the door, allowing them entrance inside. The door shut behind them.
Something occurred to Sangre as she went upstairs and set Yuzuki on the bed in an extra bedroom, tucking her underneath the covers.
Hm... She thought. Where's Lucian been all this time, I wonder?
She sat down on the bed next to Yuzuki, gazing down at the girl.
Hm...
So you feel it too, huh?
Yeah, I do. And it's strange, because I just did. She gazed down at the other girl in thought. I... sense another energy within her...
She strained her ears, closing her eyes and allowing her to switch to kinetic senses.
First she heard her own heartbeat. Then, tuning out that one, she heard Yuzuki's.
Tuning out THAT one as well, she heard something else.
Another heartbeat.
She opened her eyes and gazed at Yuzuki again.
She smiled softly.
"Seems as if I'm not the only one keeping secrets, neh pup?" She breathed inaudibly, gazing at Yuzuki. Leaning forward, she gave the other a soft kiss on the temple.
"I'll protect you."
Then she slid off the bed and walked towards the door.

Yuzuki blushed furiously as she realised what Sangre was talking about. "NO!" She yelled and curled into a ball. "NO! It's only me! Only me!"

Then she turned to look at Yuzuki.
"Why do deny it so fiercely?" She breathed softly. "Who's is it that makes you cry tears of helplessness?"
Her eyes turned sharp as she gazed at the younger girl.

Yuzuki began to sob. She didn't want this. She felt it moving and it only caused her to cry harder. Damn him! Damn him! I can't have him killed! He's supposed to be the head of my clan! That's why I can't fight him!

Sangre was suddenly on the bed next to her, wrapping her up in her arms.
"Sh..." she breathed softly, running her fingers through the other girl's hair. "It's okay, darling. Sshhhh... Be calm, my dear. Be calm."
