A clatter of falling boxes and series of extremely imaginative curses announces the arrival of the squad's final member. Skidding to a stop, his heavy boots kicking up a small cloud of dust, the wiry Initiate saluted Brutus hurriedly, gulping in air like a drowning man.
"Sir...'Nitiate Tom Cullen...r'portin' fer duty..." he gasped. Across his back was hung an AK-47 notched and marked, apparently having seen far more action than its current owner. At his hip, a holster for a old-world policeman's pistol now sported a heavy, threatening-looking monkey wrench.
Glancing up, grinning impishly as he regained his breath, Tom Cullen saluted again. "Sorry I'm late, sir...what I miss?"

Brutus returned the salute with a nod and a smile. "You didnt miss much Tom, i was just about to begin." He stood up straight and uncrossed his arms. "First, allow me to thank you all for showiung up and for volonteering for this new squad. You will have all of the checking in responsidilities that you have had before, but on top of that i request that you check in with me at least once a week and be as active as possible." He looked each member in the eye as best he could and then moved on. "As you may have guessed, this particular unit of the Brotherhood will be devoted to information gathering of classified nature, infiltration and anihilation of enemy bases and assassination of key VIPs. Each of us will have to play diffrent rolls in this squad for this however. Now, those of you who know me know that im not much of a teacher, so im going to let these teach you instead." Brutus went into the opened crate and took out the opened box with the holodisks in it, then gave a bundle to each memeber. "In that bundle you will find a disk about stealth, about secrecy and about the diffrent rolls within the squad we will play. Watch them and learn them well. The only additional thing you need to do is to decide which roll you wish to play. For example," Brutus spun slowly in a circle wih his arms out, "a person of my size and weight can't move very quickly or stealthly. Because of this i would choose either the roll of Fear or Distraction. The disks themselves will explain all of that. At any rate im sure you are all wondering what else i have in these crates. Although training cant officialy start until we all know what roll we're playing, ill show you these two things." Brutus reached inside the opened crate and pulled out one of the StealthBoys that were inside. It looked a lot like this http://www.stgfc.com/F1/ot/stealthboy.JPG ((sorry about it being so small, just try and use ur imagionation with it.)). It was a cylindrical backpack-looking like device with an antenna and big blue light on the top. He lengthened the straps so he could heave it over each of his massive shoulders, and then strapped it on. "Now these things are the size of children, so they may be a little uncomfortable for you guys at first, but thats all part of the training." He pressed a button on the right strap and the device began to hum. In a few moments Brutus began to fade out of vision and soon he was completely see through. "Pretty cool huh?" He pressed the button again and he began to fade back into vision. "These things do run on batteries, so saving charge is essential. Luckily, we can recharge them even in a battlefield situation. There's one last thing i want to show you." He opened the other crate and pulled out black material. "This is your other assingment. You will have to take a suit of your armor and modify it with this balck material. Please use leather, as it is much easier to move in. If you're the daring type you can miz and mach parts from metal and leather armor, but you cant use any type of armor that you dont have acsess to yet due to rank. Think about your roll, then amke armor that fits it. Are there any questions so far?"

Nodding his thanks to Keebz (Homework? he thought. Strange, but whatever), Tom raised a hand automatically as he threw out his question. "So, our roles in this squad...completely up to us? I mean, I'll watch the 'disk, but can you give us a quick run threw or something?"

"Sure Tom, the roles are, Distraction, Assassination, Fear, Infiltration and Relocation. If you choose Distraction, you will only be cloaked long enough to get inside the area of insertion, the rest of the time you will be running around and killing people. You will pack more ammo than most and your weapons wont be silenced. Assassination is the art of "removing" key persons from existance. You would be the snipers and constanly under cloak. Fear is my prefered occupation. You basicly strike fear into the hearts of the enemies by using neat items and tricks. In a deperste situation you kill people up close while cloaked. I cant think of much more frightening than someone in front of me being lifted off of the ground and then torn in half in mid air. Infiltraion is the art of picking locks, analyzing computers and scrambling enemy radio messages, whil decoding thier messages to eachother. Finally, Relocation is all about keeping us posted on everyone's location, both ally and foe. They use heat sensative devices and other doo-hikies that help the other members figure out where they need to be and when. Essentialy they lead the squad too and from locations. These are the official definitions that are taught to Nightkin, so this dosent mean we cant change them at all. If you come up with anything let me know." He turned to Lyanah and Barsul. "Either of you have questions?"

While Brutus was talking, Barsul had tugged the cloth covering his face down- around his neck. After Brutus stated his question, Barsul nodded and looked up at Brutus. "Suppose we wanted everyone in the squad able to do all of the roles you've listed? Or would that be way out of the question....And either way, i've been trying to find a silencer that'd work on my sniper rifle- you wouldn't happen to have a spare, would you?"

"I can see why you ask that Barsul. Let me put my answer this way. We will all be trained to at least some degree to do all of the things i mentioned, but it is wise to have all of us specialize in something, preferabley all diffrent roles so that we can function well as a group. Now lets say, hypotheticly of course, Tom is in charge of infiltration, but gets knocked unconsious. The person with the next highest training in that category would take over his duties for the rest of the campaign if the need arises. So, in truth you should put the roles into priority. The one you think you would do the best in you should make your first option. I think Ender knows you all better than I do, so i may ask his advice. That means that what you decide for yourself may not be final, then again maybe it will depending on how training goes.Aside from that, each specialization has it's own unique equipment. Instead of all of us hauling around everything we need its better to spread the equipment out and take it from any incopacitated member if need be." He sighed heavily and then coughed. "As for the silencer, i may have one in one of the crates. I ordered a bunch from the armory, but i got to return whatever i dont use. So the lot of you feel free to search the crates for anything you might need, aside from the StealthBoys. Those i will issue to you once we get more in depth of training. For right now, take as much ammo, silencers and black material as you need from these crates. There's a little bit of everything in there so you should be able to find something that suits you. If not talk to me." He smiled and looked at Lyanah. "So lil sis, you got any questions?"

Barsul grinned at the idea of freely searching the crates for desireable equipment. He tossed another salute to Brutus. "I figure i might as well get started on the stuff you've assigned us....i gotta go dig out that last suit of leather armor i had." Jogging now, Barsul went back to the armory and retrieved his weapons. After that he went back to the crates and dug out silencers for his P90, Sniper Rifle, and his Beretta- making sure they fit seamlessly before grabbing enough of the black material to wrap his armor. With that done, he began rifling through the crates for anything else that might be of use.
By the time he was finished, he'd found an old, oily, black substance to stain his machete, combat knife, and guns with so they would be invisible in the shadows. He also walked away with a set of gun-tools, spare parts, and a new scope- this piece in pristine condition, and it had a better range than the one on his rifle now. Carrying his load back to the armory, he went to work. First wrapping his leather armor with black cloth. Next he stained his blades and other shiney, metal objects black. Once that was done, he dusted the weapons so they wouldn't reflect light, then put another layer of the staining substance. Sorting the spare parts he'd found, he replaced any of the old or rusted parts in his guns. Letting out a sigh, he sat back and examined his work for a moment. Nodding, Barsul made sure the weapons were loaded- safety on- and the silencers were all attached to their respective weapons. Finally finished, Barsul pulled out the disc bundle brutus had given him. almost done...i suppose it couldn't hurt to look through these... He hadn't voiced it, but his mind was set on the assassination role he hoped to achieve.

((lord_sesshomaru66, do not be angry or even bother Keebon about such things, he joined this RP probably because you practically let your own die. You started it off, then after a few days....nothing. That's how RPs end up dying, you have to actually be active and keep them alive instead of let them grow stagnant and stale by having people wait a few days who are participating in it. Keebon was participating, probably still would maybe, you should be thankful for that alone, but you let the RP start to die/die off, so the blame is at your own feet. Also, this is just casual RPing out here, large RPs are hosted in the main guild forum if they are good, unique and well thought out, which usually leads to at least a decent amount joining to RP. The guild is as boring as you make it, obviously the people standing here RPing are enjoying themselves and finding something to do instead of complaining about RPing, they're simply doing it, having fun. With you standing around complaining, of course it's going to be boring, all you're doing is complaining and not doing what you want to do, which is RP. The true and most fun about RPing that you can do it whether it's by yourself in a building thread in the base subforum to a large or moderate sized RP with a few to even a dozen people or more, which makes it alot more fun. If you want to RP instead of being, look around you, these people are, why not join them? If it's not to your taste, why not think up an elaborate and great RP to host in the main guild forum for the whole guild after running the idea by me first? Which a RP of that size requires planning, a general plot, all that fun stuff, that's what makes RPs successful, many people fail at creating good RPs, anyone can host a rash thought out RP and have it last a couple of days. If you do decide to run a RP, it has to be interesting, have a plot, an interesting enemy and twists, hell, I couldn't stand not joining this one that's now locked and stored in the Historical Thread subforum called BOS: From sea to shining sea, which was a damned good RP with quite a few people joining and kept everyone interested until the RP creator had to resign due to real life strains. But you get out of a guild by what you put into it, put in nothing or little and that's how much you get out of it, put in effort to make it fun and RP with others and it can be one of the most fun experiences you'll have in the ways of RPing and enjoying yourself. Just thought I'd add my comment to that and hope you see this. If you resign anyways, the fault lies at your feet and we wish you the best luck in whatever you do in life and on gaia, even though I hope that's not the case.))

While waiting to hear Lyanah's question (or if she had one) Tom thought about what Brutus had told him, thoughtfully patting his wrench. Unlike Barsul, the mechanically-inclined Initiate had never been interested in any kind of assassin position, preferring instead to enter and leave undetected, either leaving chaos and confusion in his wake or in blowing wide enemy defenses so that others might do the job for him. Distraction or Infiltration, he mused silently.

"Your decision is your own." Brutus told those that remained. "You know yourself better than anyone else. All of you go and take the rest of the day to decide. Meet back here tomarrow and we will talk more. Remember to fix up your weapons and armor and to study those disks." **(( Ill send you all a PM detailing what the disks say. You need not reply.))** "Ill be here for most the day, so come and find me if you need me. Make sure to take what you need. With that, you are dismissed until further notice." With a salute and a sniff he dismissed the nightkin. After which, he pulled his pipbopy out and started to fiddle with it.
