The other might hide his tears, but Kon was now openly wailing, large, diamond tears rolling down his cheeks until they hardened and froze in the cold, turning into tiny crystals. He rubbed at his eyes, sniffling loudly. But the tears kept comming. He was completely blinded by his own tears now - unable to see anything clearly. "Kon... Kon hates living without them!!" he sobbed, tears cascading down his rosy cheeks and dripping saltily into his mouth.

Ryu felt crushed- he had no idea what to do. This...this was never supposed to turn out like this...Ryu couldn't even comfort his own pain, so he was lost as to how he was supposed to comfort Kon. Besides...the memory of the elevator- specifially what happened after it- resurfaced. No. He couldn't let THAT happen again. But...After a few moments- seconds- of silently crying and shivering, listening to Kon's wailing, he gave into his pleading insides and hugged Kon, holding the other close.

Kon was a little surprised... surprised that Ryu had put his arms around him, but... but... wasn't that what humans did to comfort each other? And... and it felt nice... and it was warm. He burried his face in the other's chest, his hands reaching up to cling to Ryu's jacket. His shoulders were still trembling - his entire body was - but this... it felt slightly better now.

Ryu paused. He was surprised that he hadn't been pushed away, but no words could describe his shock when he felt the embrace being returned. It felt so nice, and somehow...made the pain more managable. It was like a flashlight being shone into a dark corner- it helped, but the darkness was still far from gone.

In his distraught state, Kon forgot to maintain that fatal bit of energy that kept him... human. One moment he was a small, pale boy... the next he had become what he was - an arctic fox, a furry pale pastel yellow creature with black-tipped ears and tail. Kon was horrified, shocked. To shocked to move, to turn back, to... to do anything. He was completely rigid, a small furry shape in the other's embrace.

Ryu, needless to say, was shocked. So I was right...he wasn't human- not completely... He knelt down in the snow and held Kon in his lap, stroking the soft fur. Ryu allowed a smile to show on his face- a comforting smile meant to tell Kon that he didn't mind...though he would be asking questions once Kon could answer them.

Kon was genuinely shocked. How could the other still be okay now that he knew what Kon really was?! Wasn't he going to... going to kill him or capture him or soemthing?! Slowly, he crept from the other's lap. He made carefuly sure to crawl back into his clothes as best he could before turning back to human form. Some thing about his clothes were off, but... He stood up, the crystalised tears glinting on his cheeks like tiny diamonds, and began to straighten up his clothes, his cheeks red, head hung low. "Sorry..." he murmured at last.

Hebishi's cold gaze flickered at the young man before him. The gaul of him, oftering up only a million peices of gold for the ability to see seconds into the future. That was worth at least an entire arm! At least! His eyes narrowed before acting like he was contemplating it. What use did he have for gold? None, but for food... that was another story.

"So Baslisk, do we have a deal? If not I will take my business elsewhere," the boy sniffed hauntily as he cast a hungry eye over Hebishi. 'What a yummy creature,' was the young mans thoughts, 'I think I'll suduce him...'

'A noble no doubt,' though unimpressed, slightly irritated snake, 'does he really think this is just a business deal to me? That I need his "business" to keep alive.' A sly, sultry smirk flittered over his lips. Before he gave the boy a heated once over and sliding up to him.
"My dear boy, I do believe he have a problem that I need to take care of first." With that he leaned over and licked the shocked boys ear and rubbed the aroused male's groin with his long nailed hand in a rough, arousing motion. The boy gasped and as he did Hebishi bit his neck sending his deadly venom through the noble's system.
As the boy screamed in agony and writhered on the floor Hebishi smirked and licked his lips. He'd eat well tonight...

Zephyr sighed softly, running a pale hand down along one of his arms. It was cold up in the mountains and his feet - his roots, as a tree - were quick to freeze. He shivered delicately and pulled his cloak further up, snuggling down into its warm. But the fresh spring that bubbled here was refreshing and so wonderful that he didn't even mind its icy temperature. He stepped closer to it, staring longingly into its depths before slipping his cloak - and everything else - off and climbed greatfully into the conealing waters. It felt wonderful to soak the water in through his skin - and the sun as well, for it was a bright day. He smiled, pale eyes closing as he turned slowly around in the water, fully relaxed.

After a full satisfing meal or a dish he didn't get often, Hebishi sauntered lazily over to a sun soaked boulder. Here he spread his naked body over the giant rock to basked in the suns warmth. As a snake cold weather did not appealed and he had begun his yearly migration to his "winter home" in the south.

((Would you mind telling me just where Hebishi is? =o There are mountains ringing the whole of Eden island... but like, also, what's around him? Like... where's the lake in correlation to his rock? >.>;;; ))

((Sure, sorry sweatdrop ))

Hebishi stretched before noting a spring near his resting place. It was clear and fresh. His eyes then wandered back to his cave to which he would spend the night. Most of the small wildlife had deserted when he had arrived. They, unlike humans, knew when a deadly being was in their midst. A ripple moved smoothly across the water as though something had disturbed it and animal taking a drink maybe? Or a fish jumping? Hebishi didn't take note of it. He went back to sunbathing.

((Do you want Zephyr to be in the spring but on the other side?))

((Sure.))

Zephyr stretched back in the waters and allowed himself to relax fully, floating on his back. It felt so nice in the cool depths of the water. He allowed himself to sink slowly into the lake's depths - as a tree he didn't need air to breathe, even in this form. He surface a minute or so later with a quiet sigh of happyness. He could feel himself becomming sleepy. He needed to soak up the water and the sun's rays. He paddled over to a bolder somewhere in the middle of the lake and draped his slender, drenched frame over its warmed surface.

Hebishi yawned lazily, before picking up a femur from his last meal and twiddling it between his long, pale fingers. His glasses rested beside his clothing. He lifted his gaze once more and thought he saw movement on a rock out in the distance in the lake. He shrugged before settling down, just his imagination, no creature was anywhere near here, his presense was thick in the area scaring the wildlife away.

Zephyr, as a tree, was slow with dull senses. He had noticed nearly nothing as he entered the lake and now, with his senses blurred with sleep, he noticed nothing. That is, until his eyes, closing slowly from wearyness, caught sight of a figure resting along the length of a sunny boulder. He was then joulted wide awake, wondering if this person had seen him. The human portion of him was embarrassed -- very embarrassed. His sudden waking had julted him into motion, which had caused ripples and splashes in the lakes water -- noise.

Hebishi turned over when more ripples hit the shoreline. He lifted his head lazily and right before his eyes made contact with the being out in the water he dampened his gaze. It would be intense, but not deadly. A young man, Hebishi smirked, a nude young man. He winked lazily before laying his head on his arms so he could continue to stare at the other nude figure while also looking relaxed and lazy. His own long, bare limbs where sun-kissed and dramped gracefully over his warm, sunning stone.
