Aslinn blushed for a moment when Cody spoke and she thought it over. Slowly she relaxed and spoke. "Well not quite; the original promise between our families was made whilst most of your kin lived elsewhere. Our grandfathers made the pact so it is highly likely that was due to a thought of war. If someone were wanting a war a marriage pact is a good way to unit two groups to prevent a third group from gaining an ally."As they left she slowly led him thought the town which had undergone a myriad of changes since the last time he'd seen it. Flowers were scattered everywhere, a myriad of decorations had been placed around the village and it seemed everyone was stopping at a small shrine making offerings. The villagers for the most part seemed incredibly carefree with girls busy putting the finishing touches on their appearances whilst males lounged about looking at all of the beauties in front of them.

Aslinn hadn't paid much attention to the town but when Cody spoke about it being a norml holiday he chuckled before she decided to reply. "think of mating season like valentines day. The decorations are made to please the fertility godess; people often hope to gave favor in finding a mate or bearing strong young, they make offerings at the shrine. The decorations also act as somewhat of a reminder to should you find your mate take the romance inside." Aslinn had the horror of witnessing two people going at it on the middle of a walkway her first season and she still had nightmares about it.

Aslinn laughed at his comment about how he got mad at people making out. She found it funny ow vastly different life was for humans and anthro's however how many similarities there were. Aslinn could feel the stares of several women on Cody and she almost laughed for a moment before she turned serious and spoke. "It seems your getting quite a following. The girls seem to have gotten a good whiff of your strange scent and have figured out who you are." Aslinn hoped she wouldn't have to explain that some girls would simply be lunging at him because of his families power or her own. While she was Alpha, Cody did have Alpha blood in him as well so he could legally challenge or contest her being ruler; or she could even hand the title over to him since he was an Alpha. The few restaurants in the town had made special menu items and desserts just for the day as well.

Aslinn listened to Cody talk and she frowned at what he said. "well i don't think a following should determine how you deal with the opposite sex." She smiled sweetly at him before she listened to him ask what they'd do next. Looking at everything she smirked "Well we can get something to eat really quickly, or continue exploring the town. The ceremony begins in about a hour and not long after that hormones will kick in and things will get underway." She didn't know what he'd want to do however she knew that when hormones kicked in everything would become chaos at first, before it settled down into a mating fever.

Aslinn listened to Cody and she sighed a bit. "well no need to worry about that now. Here your the equivalent of royalty, you could legally contest me for alpha or i could even hand the title over to you with no issues if i wanted." She didn't want to bother Cody with this news however it was the truth and a lot of women took note. As he started noticing that some smelled excited already she let out a soft laugh and lightly patted his back. "well those are normally those who only just hit season. First season is always difficult as we work on adjusting to the feelings." Once she spoke a few people walked up and handed her and Cody each a small flower before they moved off to hand more flowers out.

Aslinn had neglected the anti shot this year and already she began feeling her body making small alterations and she began noticing that Cody had an alluring scent. "well it wouldn't be to hard teaching you what is required; honestly think of an alpha as a president just on a much smaller scale with a slightly different set of issues." Truthfully Aslinn after becoming Alpha had caused quite a commotion seeing as she was the first second-born female to ever become alpha and the fact that o many people were now trying to get into her pants drove her mad. Which is why she'd often spent these seasons away from home or receiving the anti shot. Most of the town seemed to finally have relaxed and seemed to be enjoying a filling meal as if preparing for a long night of activity.


(again sorry for some reason i never got notified of this getting responded to terribly sorry)((as for the sister i think we could have a bit of fn with that maybe Aslinn and Cody agree to meet somewhere private since she's supposed to do something before the ceremony begins and she gets delayed by her sister's 'boyfried' whilst the sister tries seducing Cody)

Aslinn finished up her meal whilst Cody spoke asking her the question about mating. She struggled to keep her food down as she tried not to choke on the abrupt question. Regaining her composure she calmed down and spoke. "It depends; if she wants you to be an alpha i can mentor you before passing the title over. In all honesty managing a jewelry shop and the village can be a bit much." Aslinn smiled as she spoke it was perfectly clear that she wanted Cody to do what he wanted and that she was willing to work with him. During their conversation Aslinn couldn't help but grow more and more distracted by the scent that Cody was producing, she couldn't tell at the moment if it was because he was so close or if it was something more but she aimed to figure it out soon.


(they would be able to meet back up. Maybe he arrives at the meeting place and runs into sister whilst Aslinn is stuck dealing with sisters man and after putting him in his own place he runs away and she races to cody.)

Aslinn smiled warmly at him before she heard his qurquestion. Smiling lightly she spoke. "Of course if you want to I can teach you. I can even teach you and you can say no. It is all up to you." Aslinn was glad Cody was here since she actually enjoyed the time they shared. His scent was getting stronger and she knew that it was possible that he was her mate, within a few moments a bell began ringing through the town
