Reid shrugged, "just Reid Luaier, as far as I know anyway."
Chao grinned, "definately, I'll be here, providing I don't get buried under boxes, in which case, give me a few minutes leeway."
Noting that everyone seemed to be heading out Reid hopped into the air and hovered next to Ike, prepared to simply follow his best friend.
Placing Cheshire on her shoulders, whereupon the little boy happily latched on, Chao casually slung an arm over Liam, poking his cheek as she looked back to Rabid, "hrm? Someone? Who?"

"Mmkay," Ike nodded. At least now he knew Miss Chao's last name. He had the urge to hold Reid's hand but, alas, the size stopped him. He sighed slightly.
"Boxes?" Liam asked, laughing lightly, "You need help with sum'thin'?"
"Jean-Gabriel Gautier," Rabid spoke the name with a hint of a French accent that wasn't usually there, "He's an old friend. We're sticking the kids with him. If you don't mind, that is. He's real reliable. Kept me and Liam from getting dead all these years." She laughed a bit.

Reid looked over to Ike and tilted his head at the sigh, "Ike? You okay?"
Chao nodded, "a mountain of boxes. I've gotten buried so many times I've lost count," she sighed, yet again wondering who had owned the Junction before them and had seen fit to be such a packrat, "but..." she glanced at Liam, eyes bright, "help? You would help?"

"Nothing you have to worry about," Ike half-smiled-half-cringed and laughed a bit. He'd never actually met the man they were going to pick up, but he'd seen pictures.
He wasn't what you would call normal.
Ike slipped into the middle back seat of the new van and nestled into the cool leather interior. He put on his seat belt and then peered around.
Huh. They really didn't have any place for 1-foot-tall Mishaps to sit. He'd have to talk to Mummy about that.
Liam took the child he was handed with an utterly confused expression. It took him a while to press the child to him and opened the door to the third row of seats. He placed Cheshire in Dezzy's carseat and buckled him in carefully. He tested the straps before closing the door and, suprisingly enough, taking up the driver's seat.
Of course, he had to push the seat forward a bit...
"You can thank Clemmie for the colour," Rabid sighed and climbed into the seat beside Ike and in front of Cheshire.
It hurt her pride to not be able to drive, really.

Reid made a face, shook his head at the vague answer and flew in behind Ike, settling onto the other Mishap's lap.
Cheshire clapped his hands and poked Liam's cheeks as he was handed to the new adult. As he was settled into the carseat he went fairly still, settling on glaring at the evil contraption. With a pout he leant back and yawned, idly waving to his brother and Malachi.
Chao buckled herself in and turned a bit so as to be able to look at the rest of the group, "I was wondering about that. But gods this thing is even bigger on the inside, isn't it?" she nugded at her seat.

Ike smiled slightly, draping his arms around Reid as he felt that odd tickle in his chest again. He absentmindedly waved back to Cheshire.
"It is."
Suddenly, a voice crackled over a little black box attached to the radio.
"This is D-and-D Campaign speaking. You there, Midget? Over."
Liam started at the box as it "spoke" before picking it up himself.
"This is Midget speaking. Put Abomination of Nature on. Over."
There was silence for a moment.
"Yo, Midget. Abomination of Nature speaking. Refresh my memory as to where this portal is. Over."
"Six feet from Mei-Vaar. Over."
"Got it. Over and out." The conversation ended with a crackle and a click.
Rabid leaned over to Chao.
"Makes...vehicular communication easier," she whispered and then added, "They picked each other's nick names, you see..."
And then they were off...

Reid grinned up at his friend and leant back, idly tracing a finger nail over his lap and Ike's hands, 'drawing' out different shapes and the few alchemical runes that popped into his head as they drove.
Cheshire giggled at the bizarre names.
Chao laughed warmly, nodded in comprehension and glanced out the window as they drove.

"'Kay," looking back to check on Cheshire Chao hopped out of the van upon confirming that her youngest had fallen asleep and cracked her back before toddling after Rabid.
Reid nodded, pressing the button to release Ike's buckle before hopping off the seat and flying out of the van.

Ike stepped out of the van and bent backward, cracking his back as his hands touched the ground behind him. He pulled himself back upright and peered at Reid for a while.
"Don't your wings get tired?"
Rabid bit her fingernail in a moment of contemplation before sighing in defeat. He wasn't coming out.
She inhaled as deeply as her diaphragm would let her before letting out a long, high keen that reminded her of some kind of broken jungle bird. She cut herself off and then peered back into the woods, waiting.
"Holy...mother of God..."

Reid looked over his shoulder, and grinned, "course they do, it just takes a while. It's like walking, 'cept with different muscles."
Chao grunted and plugged her ears quickly as Rabid started to make the keening noise.
Reid slapped his hands over his antenae and ears simotanously and grimaced. The firefly dropped a few feet as his wings seized up at the sound before he consciously started them moving again and began to hover again.
"Little warning next time?" Chao grumbled, rubbing at her ears and throwing Ike and Reid a concerned look.
