The sounds of battle though muffled by the jungle leaves caught Hekate's attention as she picked up her pace. Beside her Devith lifted his head his scenting the air and let out a low muffled snarl.
I smell ichor Mine. He rumbled as the two exchanged worried glances and broke into a run. It seemed the fight had started without them as the finally managed to claw their way through the underbrush and broke into the open space of a large clearing. Across from it they caught sight of the others as the unknown blue dove and attacked Moriath and Asoth. Around them the humans scurried after someone. Who Hekate couldn't quite make out.
"Come on we don't want to be any later for this party then we already are!" She called to Devith as the two began to charge their way across the clearing to catch up to the others.

Freia Attacking tunnel snake
She felt for those that got attacked, and the dragon roaring, thankfully Freiask gave a small warning. Covering her ears, Freia waited to see what happened to the tunnel snake. With the snake stunned, the wherhandler jumped up and poked it again with her knife. It wasn't much, but with the others distracting it from her, she could keep this up for a while. Until then, Freia just held her breath that it wouldn't come after her in the middle of an attack.

D'lin Stunned
The snake was far from being distracted it seemed and with horror he watched as it resumed it's attack on those already injured. Abandoning thoughts towards drawing the snake outside he started to dash towards those injured with the intention of trying to drag them to safety..before he had gone more then a couple of steps however the furious echo of the maddened dragon outside brought him to his knee's.
Roscoe Stunned
His previous attack hadn't done much except, it hadn't even garnered the creatures attention - it seemed far more happy to continue attacking the wounded...others seemed to be trying to get to them but with the snake so furiously in the way Roscoe wasn't sure if they could. Best to keep his attention on the snake and hope they managed to kill it before it killed someone else. Raising his club he advanced towards the beast..only to stagger against the side of the cave at the roar that echoed through the cavern.
Plexith Group C - Ferrying wounded.
Plexith had been paying attention to what was happening in the cave on and off through his riders eyes, but knowing that there was little he could do in such a space and at his riders request he had continued to help where he could. When the link to his was suddenly fuzzy and incoherent however the bronze threw up his head.
'Mine!'
Unfurling his wings he had almost leapt into the air when frightened screams drew his attention back to what he was doing. He had wounded on his back..right. Rumbling in distress he crouched by the medical tables and thundered at those present. Eyes whirling in distress. 'OFF, Get them OFF'

N'mol - Attacking the snake Group A
N'mol blocked one ear with a hand as the dragon roared, and then set about beating the tunnelsnake again, swinging hard at it. He tried to glance about at the same time, noticing those that seemed incapacitated by the dragon's scream. They were down three, maybe four fighters from that alone. D'lin's Greenrider was in a bad way, the other rider the snake had attacked was more injured than she was the last time, and Kleos wasn't going to be in much better condition when this was over if that snake kept crushing her. He smacked the snake in the face with the stick he was wielding and quickly backed toward the now-open cave entrance. He wasn't going to keep fighting it in here when moving it outside was the best option. He struck again with his stick as he nearly reached the cave entrance the Greenrider was now leaning against.
Tyeth! Tell whoever's handling the wounded to prepare for several severe incoming injuries!
Yes, mine.

Halith Group A
Halith screamed when Cetalese was struck again by the tunnelsnake. Eyes whirling yellow and white with distress and her rider's shared pain, Halith nearly knocked Berath over. Only the fact that she saw the Green was already moving stopped the panicked Green. She bugled, panic-stricken and angry that she couldn't get in to tear the snake hurting her rider to pieces.
Cetalesemine! GET OUT OF THE CAVE. Get out now! Get up! GET UP.
She could feel Cetalese's mind and strength failing and each stab of pain from attacks or moving felt to Halith as if it were being done to her. She had to get her rider away from there. Away!

Cetalese - Attacking the snake Group A
The same shoulder was hit, this time from the front, when the snake struck again and Cetalese blacked out for a moment as she feebly tried to hit at its eyes while it was low enough to do so.
The dark haired rider gasped for air and lay still on the floor for a long moment, knowing she had to move but unable to find the strength. She let out a low groan as a dragon roar pierced the air. Blood loss. Blood loss would be a major concern, she had to get moving. Even as she thought it she was sluggishly trying to do the figuring in her head and realized that the snake could kill all of them if they didn't kill it first. She wouldn't try to draw its attention on purpose again (she hadn't the last time), but she had to keep hitting it with things and make it get out of the cave. Somewhere open. She lifted her head slightly and saw stars faintly through the cave entrance. The Green had moved. The way was open.
Halith's voice suddenly blared in her head. Cetalesemine! GET OUT OF THE CAVE. Get out now! Get up! GET UP.
Cetalese found herself struggling to her feet, trying to lift her whole body with one arm when even that arm didn't seem to want to obey. She wound up her strength and stomped on a coil of tunnelsnake lying near her. She wanted to help-- but at this point she was looking to get herself killed. She knew she couldn't stay. With that last defiance, Cetalese half-staggered, half-fell along the wall toward the cave entrance. She was on her last legs as she reached the entrance and leaned heavily against it.

Tyeth Group C
Tyeth continued to check those coming into the party, nosing some of them when they looked 'too healthy' to have come from the burning Weyr. No traitors had yet revealed themselves, but it was their duty to stay at their posts until all of the stragglers had come in. He could feel N'mol distantly, but the link between them stayed strong. Whatever was going on, N'mol hadn't been hurt too severely, though he could sense his rider's mounting tension and distress.
Suddenly, Plexith nearly reared back and shouted at the humans around him to speed their efforts to relieve him of his human burdens. Tyeth turned his head, his eyes very briefly tinged with yellow before they returned to cool, sharp green. Plexith's was with N'mol. That was not a good sign. And he was proved correct when N'mol suddenly shouted at him to prepare the party for more incoming wounded.
Suunath, Cepheith, mine says that there will be severely wounded humans coming soon from the tunnelsnake hunting party. He requests your riders make a space ready for them.

Tanya Group C
There was so much going on around her that it nearly confounded Tanya, but she knew even as a man suddenly abandoned his place with the wounded and took off running that someone had to stay here while things were going on and make certain that the injured didn't die. After all, some of the Bronzeriders and all of the Goldriders had stayed to direct things, hadn't they? That meant that not only was this the safest place in the weyr, but it was an important charge as well.
She knelt by the next patient and inhaled sharply. It looked from the state of his clothes and the burns across his face as if he had had a burning building-- or part of one-- fall on him. He had no marks from tunnelsnakes, but the burns were enough. Tanya could see him barely peering at her from half-closed eyes, but his breathing was raspy and shallow and he was clearly struggling. It didn't take a genius to realize that there was little anyone could do to help him. He likely wasn't going to survive.
Beside his head sat a little Brown, eyes white and whirling. It looked up as Tanya knelt and creeled piteously. It could feel its owner slipping away, Tanya was sure. She smiled at the man and placed a careful, trembling hand into his, squeezing lightly.
"It's all right. The real healers are coming soon. I'll keep you company until then, maybe get some numbweed on these burns so they don't sting as much while we wait."
She knew it would be viewed as a waste, but she slid her hand from his and opened the jar anyway, smoothing the cool gel over his burnt neck and face with the hand already half-numb from her earlier patient. If the shirt hadn't burned into his skin, she would have put numbweed there as well. Tanya did what she could on the areas where the clothing had been burned away, knowing all the time that it wasn't enough, but it was all she could do. She couldn't let him die in agony. She couldn't.
"There. That will feel better in a moment." She put the jar aside and slipped her hand back into his, feeling him him clench his fingers slightly to hold it there. Tanya smiled at him again, gentle and comforting. "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. The healers will be coming soon."
It was a blessing that the man couldn't talk to counteract her statement, and as she watched his eyes went glassy and the faint grip on her hand loosened. He let out a soft, rasping exhale, and then the firelizard by his head shrieked and launched into the air, disappearing between to its own death.
Tanya released the man's hand and just sat there on her heels for a moment, staring at him. She didn't have it in her to close his eyes and so she unsteadily got to her feet and backed away from him. Her vision swam and she suddenly realized she was about to cry. She let out a small sob before she covered her mouth and tried hard to breathe deep and shake it off. It was horrible and sad, but there were other people around who needed help and she-- she was only 17 Turns.
Her eyes cast around to see if anyone was watching and then she hurried back to the tables in a quest for a place to hide, forgetting her bandages and numbweed by the dead man.
((Aw, and that's probably it for Tanya for a bit while she recovers.))

[Siask - Tag dragons in Group A]
They were in his way! Siask, having been left by Siata, roared from beyond the dragons. He had strength and rage of his handler being stuck in that cave but they were large and upset. The wher near screamed, throwing himself at those near the entrance of the cave in an attempt to muscle them from his way. Being one eyed did not help his aim and so hitting them was not smething that had to happen. He just wanted in!
He could all but hear His yelling inside and the tunnelsnake cried out clear and loud, humans screamed and Siask wanted in. Not the sort of wher to be going around using words, he radiated move-in-shove-push-SIATA in his attempts to get near to the entrance, snarling, hissing, claws dragging on the floor.
-----
[Siata - attacking]
People started to get thrown around and stunned, bodies hitting walls, pebbles being inconsequential to the sharding tunnelsnake. She felt Siask's impotent rage and her own desperate fear. Kleos pinned, girls bleeding, dragons clogging up near to the entrance. War-time all over again and -- shaff it.
Siata heard the roar, stumbled slightly with the echo of it. Shaff. It. When the tunnelsnake stopped for a few seconds (along with a few of the group), the smith decided to be stupid in the way she'd not in the revolution and jumped at the tunnelsnake or, rather. Onto the tunnelsnake, knife in hand, to stab at it as hard as she could.
In her head, Siask screamed.

[Rochelle - tag Ralae]
Oh no way. She yelped and stumbled but Carltis ended up on the ground. She yelled out his name, nearly a screech, but before she could run at him there was a girl bleeding and Kleos ordering and shards. The knife forgotten in her hand, the glass smith sprinted towards the bleeding Ralae.
"Hey! Hey, snap outta it, c'mon, let's get you... not here." She hissed at the blood and offered out her hand. Rochelle wanted to reach down and just grab her, haul her up and drag her up, but gettig an armful of spazzing flailing wounded girl didn't seem appealing. Dragging her out when - if - accepted though, was. "Move!"

Freiask Tag Siask
The gold watched the bronze try to head into the cave and with no second thought, Freiask rushed up and swatted at him. No! IT will hurt them more! Her eyes were whirling in anger, angry that she couldn't be down there, Siask hitting the entrance and that dragon roaring like that. Didn't they know better?

Ralae-Group A HP: 27-4=23 tag Rochelle
Ralae stayed stunned and out of it against the wall, not even the roar of her scared and angered dragon shook her from her stupor. It was brain overload as razor sharp claws scraped against her again, this time raking across her stomach as it pushed further away and towards the hanging spikes.
---- P'zul Stunned
Good news! Distracting the tunnel snake seemed to be working as it moved it bulk away from the others and towards where it could be attacked from all sides. Bad news, people were still getting squished and hurt. P'zul barely managed to dodge an attack when Zabreth reached the window and tried frantically to get to her rider.
A thundering roar and P'zul dropped to one knee, his hands covering his ringing ears.

Wykla/Blue Kameth (Option B – Attacking Tunnelsnake)
Well this was Sharding great! They had found the tunnelsnake and cornered it in a cave. She had followed at the back of the group, trying to keep her flits under control. The tunnelsnake seemed to be driving them to distraction. Wykla managed to squeeze into the cave and suddenly wished she’d brought a glow. It was dark here! Too late now.
It wasn’t ‘til she saw her friend dazed that she really became angered. She picked up some stones and aimed for the snake’s head. Throwing viciously for its vulnerable spots as she worked her way through the group to avoid hitting people.

F’law/Blue Zurith (Option B- Attacking Tunnelsnake)
Now this! F’law relaxed the moment he entered the cave. Here was home, even if there was a tunnelsnake habiting it. He hunted around to find a good piece of stout wood. Throwing small stones at it would be pretty ineffective he thought. This was a massive snake. Wood in hand he approached and swung at a leg, hoping to disable the beast somewhat. It wasn’t nearly as he hoped for his aim was off in the dimlight.

Relys/Blue Relysk (Option A- Attempting capture- failed)
He was utterly surprised to learn it was the rogue rider. The dragon who helped Keller. They had to capture him or perhaps kill, rather than let him return to Keller. Relys wasn’t sure if it would bode well for rider and dragon if they were caught. He stalked through the brush following his wher. With Relysk night sight it would be easier for him to get close.
For a moment he was distracted by the sound of dragon screams. That didn’t sound good! He whistled softly to Relysk. They had to get that rider! He moved up beside the wher’s head with a hand resting on his headknobs. For a moment he thought he saw the retreating back of a man, but then it vanished behind some foliage.
Relysk warbled as he felt Moriath’s anger. He pulled himself back to his task of tracking the human. His wanted him. The dragons wanted him. Diligently he followed the trail. They were getting closer. His handler a comforting presence near his side.
