Lark was taken by surprise by the fire that started the moment he kissed her again and she was equally blown away by her response to the kiss in fact she matched his kiss with her own fire but she didn't fight it in fact she let it sweep her away she was a little worried when Devon made a sound in his chest that wasn't exactly a growl or groan it was something like a purr but she couldn't be sure when he finally did pull away she found herself breathing a little heavy as she was held tight against his chest with his face in her hair the only response she could give as she catching her breathe when he made that request was a nod but she was smiling

Devon loosened his grip in her. He was taking deliberate breaths to help calm himself down. He needed to be more careful. She was... He didn't even now how to describe it. She torn up his control like fire and he found himself wanting more then just one or too small kisses.
He shook his head and stood, picking her up as he did. "Come on. You must be starving by now." he commented absently. Food wasn't really that important to him at the moment.

Lark stood on unsteady legs still a little flush from that kissing session but she was smiling now even her eyes were brighter than they had been before
and she took his hand in hers. "Yea I am a bit hungry now that you mention it so where are we going?" She asked brightly not noticing his distraction

"To the nearest restaurant I can find." he said with a slight smile. It wasn't long before they were in the car and off again. He was pretty sure were he wanted to take her. It was one the the more popular places here, if very expensive. He looked at her and then at himself. They were dressed nice enough.
One they arrived, he opened the door for her. "Welcome to one of the best restaurant in the cities."

"I don't think finding a place to eat would be hard for a wolf." Lark said giggling as she got in the car for the drive to the restaurant she was content with the compatible silence between the two of them humming along to the radio and watching the scenery when they got to the restaurant though she froze not taking any other step forward even when her hand was begin held by Devon. "Devon are you crazy this is a five star restaurant we can't just walk in there I mean look at me and plus we need reservations just to get a table." she said in a low voice still in shock

"I have a table saved for business dinners. So it's not a problem. And the place is private." he assured her. "Plus, you look beautiful." he said, touching her cheek lightly. "I can always rent a dress for you if you feel the need." he added. Just in case.

Lark still looked worried about going in but Devon had some what convinced her
"But Devon you already spent so much on the Museum can you really afford this
too." She asked putting her hand in his as he walked her up to the door past the line her grip on his hand tightened slightly as she began to get more nervous seeing the breath taking interior and the people in side it looked like fair land and she felt very much out of place while Devon looked as if he belonged here. "Devon I feel so out of place are you really sure about this."

Devon held her shoulder. "I didn't come hear to fit in with people I don't know. I came to enjoy a meal with the most beautiful girl in the room." he told her firmly. The waiter appeared and asked if they had a reservation. Devon gave his name and a table in the corner was set of them.
He placed a hand on her back to keep her moving forward. She really did look like she was going to run. Plus it was to show that she was with him if any noisy people looked.

Lark was ready to bolt only Devon's hand on her back kept her from doing so but she was blushing furiously and throwing shy glances at the people around her most of whom took notice of her and began whispering to each other
she even saw some people sizing her up as if she was an adversary or something she whispered back to Devon her shyness almost killing her
"Your exaggerating again I am by far the plainest girl in the whole room." she finished taking her seat."

Devon looked around the room in the same manner he would look at something mildly interesting. After two seconds he looked bored. "Plain don't mean ugly, Little Bird. You are beautiful. And far less gaudy then the people here." He leaned forward and whispered conspiratorially. "You notice they seem a little stuck up as well."
It wasn't like Devon was dressed any better than Lark in his slacks and long sleeves shirt. However the confidence he showed something that demanded respect. Even when he wasn't paying attention. He took Larks hand in his, oblivious to everyone else.

"Yea well they do have right to be don't they I mean how can a little bird compare to magi sty of eagles, peacocks and swans I mean you look better than I do." she held his hand in hers afraid to let it go she was still holding it when they both took their seats in the corner where they had a nice view of the whole room

Devon rolled his eyes. "Eagles screak and it hurt my ears. Peacocks are too loud and swans honk too much." he answered smoothly. "But a lark looks lovely with a voice that will make anyone stand up and listen."
Once they were seating it was only a few moments before a waiter came with minutes. He told his to call him whenever they were ready.

"I don't think my voice could make anyone want to stop and listen and I think you missed the point all of those other birds are a lot more beautiful than me a little skylark." She said looking around the room almost sadly while trying to think about what she could order. "Why do I have a feeling you ate some of those birds in the past."

Devon sighed. "It's a metaphor, okay? You don't take it literally. If you want something more literal... Eagles are predators, Peacocks gaudy, and the swan is an made over goose." he explained, exasperated. "I like my little bird, thank you very much."
It didn't seem like his girlfriend was going to believe him any time soon. None of the fancy stuff interested him. He brought her here because the food and service was great and he knew she'd never been. Not to show her off, but to treat her to something nice. Why else bring her?
"No... I don't eat birds, their bones break too easy. Unless it's normally cooked I might add. Like chicken... or turkey at Thanksgiving." he answered simply. "Though there might have been a few incidents...."
He picked up the menu, looking over it was mild interest.

Lark couldn't help but giggle at the huffiness he made the statement about liking his little bird she guessed as long it was him it couldn't be all bad could it? "Well as long as you think so I suppose it's okay right?" she asked while looking over the menu like a kid at Christmas here eyes caught the Saumon Fume and she knew that was what she wanted hopefully Devon wouldn't mind she reached over for his hand holding it lightly as she was yet again taken by the beauty of the place. "Do you have any plans for Halloween?" she asked right when the waiter came back waiting for their order and she stated hers. "Saumon Fume with the Strawberry-Basil Lemonade and for Dessert I would like the Chocolate Seduction Cake please." the waiter smiled as he wrote down her order and then waited for Devon's

"I'll have the Steak-Frite and the same for desert." he said quickly. There were many good think here but he still love the steak best. "Make it medium well." The waiter wrote it down and left with a nod, a smile and a promise to be back quickly.
"I don't know what I'm doing Halloween." he said. "Besides our run. It's a perfect night to just let go and hunt. But before that... I don't know. There are some event I could go to I guess but I'm not sure. What about you?"

"I guess I don't know I mean I could stay home alone and watch a horror movie like the Wolf Man or Cujo or I could do what I did last year and go treat or treating but I don't have a custom but it work out last year when I went by myself or maybe I could go on that haunted hay ride it's not so bad when you go alone." She shrugged like it wasn't a big thing but it did get lonely doing things alone it would be nice if someone could join her but Devon did have his pack after it's not like he would drop everything just to keep her company and miss out on his fun not that she wanted him to what she didn't tell him was that the collage was going to have a Halloween Dance but there was no point in her going she'd just be the wallflower that no one wants to pick and besides she didn't have a dress
