When Cornelius felt her kiss upon his forehead he smiled and said, "You really seem different today. Are you sure you're okay? I've never remembered you saying it was okay for me to do things like you suggest I am now." He pat her on the head and rubbed his hand against her hair.

Cornelius pulled back from Janis and said, "Well, if you're okay. I'm just going to let you relax. Perhaps we should go looking for Sampson if we need to. You asked about him earlier. I do wonder where he could be myself."

He leaned against a large rock resting near the side wall of the cave and observed his wife. She looked very happy, especially with the grin she wore on her face. Cornelius's body filled with joy thinking about how he had chosen such a great lover.

Cornelius sat down next to her and fell asleep as well as he stroked her hair. Above him he could hear the sounds of claws digging through the walls of the cave. "So that's where Samson is..." he muttered to himself as sleep overtook him and caused his eyes to shut.

Janis woke to the sounds of crickets and a sky slowly being light by predawn. It was earlier then she usually woke up, but that really wasn't her concern at the moment.
She looked down at the sleeping form of Cornelius, smiling. She stood slowly so not to wake him and went of to take care of her needs. So far she didn't feel sick so she took that as a good sign. She returned and layed back down to doze til sunrise.
However, she just laid there, thinking as the sun rose higher.

In the morning, as Cornelius woke from his slumber he accidentally rolled over and lay his arm across Janis's belly. He opened his dark eyes and blinked, realizing where his hand was and said, "Oops, sorry," as he sat up and yawned. Sleeping nearby Janis had done him some good and she seemed peaceful to him as she continued to sleep next to him. At least that's what he hoped when he didn't see her move much other than breath.

Cornelius rolled over onto his side and looked at and moved his face closer to her. "Yes, yes, I did. I thought I heard some movement last night, so I might have gone to grab you this morning since I was afraid you were sleep walking or something. I apologize for that." He smiled at her and asked, "Since you're awake and we're rested now what should we do today?"

Cornelius stood up from their bed and nodded. "We can go for a walk. I'm guessing you want to know how many rooms or something are actually in the cave." He breathed in slowly and then used all the power he had to quickly morph into his dragon form. He had not consciously been awake, so he'd lost it over the night as his body tried to conserve some energy. He wondered why it had needed to though. "If you're not in dragon form now, well, it would be easier to trek through our house that way. I made it specifically for our larger forms and it might actually take years to get to some areas in the home."

Cornelius's tail swished happily as he led them down a dark, dry tunnel next to their so-called bed room. It suddenly cut off into a long slope and he said, "I guess you could call what's ahead of us stairs, but they're pretty steep so we need to be a bit careful. In a dragon's home though for some reason we often have the habit of putting the sleeping areas at the front of the cave and things like kitchens, libraries, nurseries, etc. towards the back. If you want you can go down that area now." He stated as he put his hooves on the edged of the slope.

Cornelius led the way and when they got down to the bottom floor they were greeted by exactly three large rooms. "There's nothing in these rooms he stated, but if we go from left to right we have the kitchen/ family room, some kind of library or study room, and the last room is going to be a nursery for any dragon eggs we have. Most of the rooms just have shelves, but in this last one I dug up a pit of lava in that room. So it'll bubble up from there every once in a while and make that room extremely hot. When our dragon eggs are ready we can just drop them in and they should hatch in a couple months after you sit on them."

Cornelius looked at Janis and said, "You can inspect the empty rooms and the shelves for yourself, but that's all I put in them becasue I suspected you'd be more into the decorating portion. I hope this isn't too bad."
