Rene didn't hesitate, her katar slashing forward, sending a wave of green flames at Travis while pulling the trigger, sending an arc of bullets slicing at Travis.

Travis quickly moved out of the way, a wall of flames rising to block the bullets.

The arc of green flames sliced through Travis' defense. Rene charging at Travis with a growl of fury.
A group of mercs, hearing the gunshot followed the sound towards the guest rooms.

Five mercs burst into the room, all pulling out weapons and aiming at Travis.

((Are you busy? Or just being simple lol. And why is Travis even still there? Rene isn't gunna join him, and people are attacking him....so seriously, wth?))
Rene watched her small orb fall through the flames and she grinned wickedly, diving under one of the beds as the small weapon beeped quickly.
The mercs saw the objects and darted into the hallway, taking cover.

Travis shrunk the protective ball of flames until it was more a suit of fire than an orb.

The small device right next to Travis' feet was a specialized explosive designed by Rene herself, it was referred to as a Force Grenade, it was made to use against magic users. The grenade emitted a wave of physical force, instead of a damaging explosion it was made to push people violently away, disregarding any magical protection. The device went off, right at Travis' feet.

As soon as the grenade went off Rene burst from under the bed, her skeletal wings flaring out ash she ran to Travis, the sharp tips of her wings slicing at Travis' shoulders to pin him to the wall while her katar arced at Travis' heart.

Travis managed to block the katar, though he was pinned to the walls. His wings flapped as he tried to push Rene away.
