Erin nodded "thank you, father." she said as she pulled her hand from her coat.
She sighed and looked the priest in the eye "I did what I did to protect a friend" she said and scratched the back of her head, trying to come up with a plausible sounding lie.
Her eyes widened again as the words formed in her mind "I don't know why, but the guards just started arresting random people, I stayed behind so that my friends could get away. Then one of them tried to grab me, so, I nailed him" she said and glanced to the ground "does god still smile on martyrs?" she asked as her gaze returned to the man.

The wind picked up as "Pete" drifted across the sea, to somewhere called Paris, it was all just the same to him.
Lots of high buildings, lots of food, plenty of people around, A good place to call home.
As that thought entered his mind he remembered Sam, and how often the strange man had taken care of him.
He "sighed" lightly as he flew over a beach and turned toward the city in the distance, he still had a job to do after all.

He worked for the English as a torturer and a spy."

"Oh for the love of mother gaia!!" Rune spat out, she watched the flames appear on the branch and the sword until Clarissa was holding fire in her hands. 'of all the people I get pitted in a fight against it has to be a FIRE elemental!?!?' she screamed in her head.

"great just really great..." Rune muttered as she eyed the fire. With her opponent being a fire elemental that cut her from using her seeds to aid her like they had before, since they'd be incinerated probably as soon as she brought them out. "At least I still got my rings,.." the fairy muttered under her breath as she grabbed more arrows and waited for Clarissa to make a move.

Clarissa shot one fire ball out from her hand while holding the other. It was aimed at Rune's waist. She followed up the attack by following the fire balls path. Ready yo get near and use the one she still held for another strike in case the first failed.

Rune quickly moved by twisting to the side, just barely getting out of the way of the speeding fireball. Her small victory was short live because as soon as she dodged it Clarissa came out of the fireball's trail and was coming in closer as she threw the ball, much faster and closer this time.

Knowing she couldn't get out of the fireball's way this time, she summoned what control she had over the earth and created a solid shield. It just barely made it in time as the fireball made contact with the earth shield. The shield had a few cracks, since she wasn't that good at reinforcing it but it managed to stop her from getting fried.
