Koras, meanwhile, was examining the egg with interest, glancing over at his girlfriend every now and then to make sure she was okay. All his Pokemon had grown a couple of levels, Kitsune especially, but the egg had yet to hatch.
Cadaver, meanwhile, wasn't really walking as much as floating a couple inches above the ground, Carnage using him as a meat - er, ghost? - shield to keep Lilian from hugging him. Of course, while the small Ghost-type was still scared shitless of Lilian's hugs, it had also grown a few levels due to training, learning Will-o-wisp and Curse to replace Confuse Ray and Shadow Sneak.

(Aw... why couldn't I have done the egg-hatching scene? I had something funny prepared and everything...)

Kitsune eagerly hopped down from its trainer's shoulder and went to meet its new son as well.
Koras quirked an eyebrow at the black Pichu and scanned it with his Pokedex, which began speaking aloud as opposed to just showing the information.
Scanning... Scanning... Scanning complete.
Wild Zochu - Lvl 1
The Trickster Mouse Pokemon
Type: Electric/Dark
Egg Group: None
Ability: Illusion
Moves: Scratch, Thundershock, Tail Whip, Charm
Scans indicate that the Pokemon is carnivorous, with a preference for seafood, enjoys fluffy and/or shiny objects, dislikes confinement, has a fear of cats and dogs... Huh... Koras was honestly expecting it to be a bit more of a hellion... ...and enjoys dark humor and pranks. Its brain scans show that it will probably cause plenty of chaos, even when it doesn't mean to. ...and apparently the world decided to go as he expected at the worst possible time.
As if to prove the Pokedex's point, the newly identified Zochu grinned to his father, showing tiny little fangs, and promptly changed into a giant version of itself ten times the normal size without any warning, nearly giving its father (and everyone else in the immediate area) a heart attack. Zochu then changed back, obviously pleased with itself as it clapped its little hands together in merriment, giggling as if it had done something incredibly funny... which, to it, was probably true.
Cadaver stared at the little black Pokemon, obviously contemplating whether he should try to commit suicide to escape the hell that this little Pokemon would no doubt cause. Then he remembered that he was the Ghost elemental and thus literally couldn't die.

Naturally, the little guy was completely oblivious to the fact that he'd just been threatened as he climbed on top of Koras's head. "Zochu!" Its voice was a bit like a slightly deeper version of Pichu's.
Koras smiled softly before taking out a Pokeball and putting the little guy in it, the ball accepting the new Pokemon without so much as a click. He then proceeded to look at his new Pokemon's stats.
Cadaver looked over his shoulder and quirked an eyebrow. "Hellion?" Koras nodded emphatically. "Why that name?" Koras just gave his friend a deadpan look before pointing to the parents - one a Pokemon notorious for pranks and tricks, the other the ringleader of what Koras firmly refused to call anything but "the Pewter incident". "...Point taken."
It was at that point that the two trainers were lit up by a strange red lightning, the source: Hellion's Pokeball. After a few moments, the little guy burst out of the Ball, wailing with red sparks coming from its cheeks, before it stopped, blinked, and looked around, the red sparks stopping. "Chu? Chu!" Obviously pleased that it was now out of the dark and cramped Pokeball, it then noticed the two still-smouldering trainers on the ground and walked over to start poking them with curiosity.
It was at this point that the Pokedex spoke up again. Warning: Zochu is liable to lose control of its special red electricity if in a state of high emotion. ...Yeah, that would've been nice to know before they put the claustrophobic Pokemon in the extremely small Pokeball.
Abruptly losing interest in the two out-cold trainers, Hellion started going through Koras's bag, soon pulling out two things in particular: the pack of condoms Kitsune and Sweets had bought Koras, and Koras's Badge case he'd bought. It then examined the condoms for a moment before tossing them back on top of the backpack, then opened the Gym Badge case... and practically fell in love with the pair of very shiny, very well-maintained badges. "Zooochuuu..."

Hellion looked about ready to cry when his precious was taken away, but immediately got distracted and stared in wide-eyed awe at the shiny marble. "Chuuuuu..."
Koras briefly considered trying to put the Pokemon in its Pokeball again, but remembering the zappy pain, decided against it, instead putting the oblivious little guy on his shoulder and eying it warily. Fortunately, Hellion seemed too distracted with its shiny new precious as Kitsune got on the other shoulder and they began walking again.
Naturally, Carnage went through the usual reaction: blink as the hug from out of nowhere registered, then start struggling against it frantically and comically, nevertheless being unable to get out of her grip.

Carnage froze before changing tactics and falling limp and letting the red light in its "eyes" die out (the equivalent of closing its eyes, not that anyone but Cadaver knew that), hoping Lilian would let him go if she thought he was dead.
Shortly after they entered the town, Cadaver blinked and turned toward the Radio Tower, staring a moment. "...You guys go on ahead... I'll catch up." With that, he headed over in the Radio Tower's direction, causing Carnage to cry actual tears as it momentarily forgot to play dead and tried to get Cadaver to take it with him.
It was at this point that Hellion's stomach growled loudly, and the little guy paused in staring at its new marble to hold its stomach, looking about ready to cry (again). "Chuuu..." it whined, obviously hungry. Then again, it WAS a newborn Pokemon, so that was only normal. Koras picked it up off his shoulder and looked around... only for Hellion to spot a fish vendor nearby and start reaching toward it excitedly like, well, a grabby little baby, though it kept a tight hold on its marble. "Chu, Zochu!"

Hellion stared at the Pokeblocks curiously, taking one and nibbling at it. Unfortunately, it most definitely did NOT like it and made a face, tossing it away, though fortunately Kitsune managed to catch the food in its mouth so it didn't go to waste. Hellion then went back to trying to grab at the fish vendor's items, this time complete with eager little "Chu, chu" sounds and a small amount of drool out of the corner of its mouth.
Koras frowned and checked his Pokedex for any help, only finding that its Quirky nature meant it theoretically liked all Pokeblocks and Poffins equally... which, in this case meant it would equally reject all Pokeblocks. Then an idea occurred to him, and he dug into his pocket, getting out a packet of fish-flavored Pokeblocks and offering it to Hellion.
Hellion stared at it curiously (if a bit skeptically) and nibbled at it, just like he had with the other Pokeblack. However, unlike with the other normal Pokeblock, he proceeded to stuff his cute little face, getting bits of it all over his face before trying to reach for more.

Kitsune happily accepted the gifts, rather enjoying the Pokeblocks.
Koras nodded in agreement with Lilian, Handing over another Fish Pokeblock to the little Zochu, which promptly snatched it up and ate it happily. It seemed that it had forgotten all about the real fish now that an acceptable substitute had been found.
The duo soon passed the Radio Tower, and Koras blinked when he saw Cadaver talking with what appeared to be a very depressed Gastly, stopping to watch. After a few more minutes of talking with Cadaver, the Gastly seemed to light up happily and nodded to something, and Cadaver took the Pokemon into a Pokeball before returning to the group. "Sorry about that; there was a Gastly over there that was a bit depressed over the old Pokemon Tower being turned into a Radio Tower. Now, let's g-"
Suddenly the Radio Tower's door slammed open, and a rather upset-looking Jigglypuff was gently pushed out onto the street. "Look little guy, I get that you want to be a star, but your singing keeps putting everyone to sleep," the person who'd pushed it out explained, causing Koras to perk up at the mention of singing. "I'm sorry, but no means no, okay?" With that, the door closed.
Jigglypuff looked like it was about to cry... then blinked as Koras walked over, picked it up, and began looking it over with a sort of curious interest, having obviously never seen a Jigglypuff before. The Jigglypuff gave him a similar curious look, having never seen a Koras before.
