[Kleos - Attempting distract]
Suddenly the coils lifted from her body, but the tunnelsnake must have wounded her because pain stabbed through her-
-muscular red back, and the joint of her wing.
That was a lot easier said than done, but spurred on by the need to kill this thing and reach her beloved Kleos scrambled upright. People were hurt. Her dragon was hurt. They had to kill it.
"Get it closer to the cave mouth!" she called above the sounds of combat; having been busy being squashed she had missed that the order had already been given. "If we can draw it out the dragons can finish it off!" So saying she scooped up a double handful of pebbles and started to back away from the tunnelsnake towards the mouth of the cave, pelting it with the small stones as she went. A glance over her shoulder revealed a stalagmite, which she would have to navigate around; perhaps at least she could use it for cover if the snake came after her.

Cetalese- Attacking the tunnelsnake Group A
She couldn't help the shriek that ripped from her when the tunnelsnake's fury descended on her not once, but twice. The distraction had worked, but at a terrible cost to herself. She tried to turn, to run, but the snake's teeth sank into her shoulder and back. It was an awkward bite that it released quickly, but she could literally feel blood suddenly gush from the wound with the release of its teeth. She turned back to it so she could keep an eye on what it would do next, stumbling backward to give herself some room.
The second blow knocked her backward and to the floor, gouges stretching across her torso. She gasped for breath, thankful the air hadn't been entirely knocked out of her, and forced her muscles into rolling her away from the tunnelsnake and back toward the entrance of the cave.
If she didn't move, the snake would have her and she knew no one could stop it from striking, though they might distract it afterward. As she struggled to her feet, pain lanced down her injured arm. Her abdomen was on fire.
Near her was the same rock she had used to distract the snake, and she lifted it with her good hand-- sadly, not her dominant one-- and threw it as hard as she could with her injuries. It didn't do much, and she knew it, but she had to keep trying. Fire rushed through her wounds again and she curled in on herself slightly, trying to keep her eyes on the snake and also stay out of Berath's way.

[Carltis - Attacking (with sarcasm)]
"Well this is a really shaffing jolly time! Are we all really that stupid that none of us brought any light?" Carltis snarled, driving his small knife into its flesh again. How could he have been so stupid? How could all of them have been so stupid? The collective blunder was gold in proportion and left just as sour a taste in his mouth as looking at one of the great brutes. This mistake was getting people hurt, and might get people killed.
As a woman he didn't know - the one who'd taken two heavy blows - hurled a rock at the snake and then curled away from it he stabbed the beast again, scarred face twisted into a snarl. "Can't somebody get her the shaff out of here?" he couldn't see how bad her wounds were, but from the ferocity of the tunnelsnake's attack they were probably bad.

[Moriath - Attacking Raith! Tag group, wingleaders, golds]
Kleos was hurt! Moriath froze, eyes flashing yellow with fear for her bondmate. Crushed under the snake, unable to breathe, unable to-
-There was a sensation of cold, and then pain down her back and over the join of her left wing. Moriath bellowed in rage and pain, the yellow in her eyes flashing to red-orange.
Rearing up to her full height on her hind legs the crimson dragon lashed out at her foe's belly with her talons. As she did so she caught the unfamiliar dragon's scent... and then he was not so unfamiliar. Moriath screamed with rage, the bloody hue of her eyes intensifying. <Traitor!> she bellowed, her mental voice blazing with fury, reaching her companions and those she had been in touch with earlier and any sensative mind nearby. him!> she went on, now directing her words only to her allies. Flashed images of the dragonlights demonstration came with the accusation as Moriath recalled the beginning of the revolution, or perhaps as Kleos did; their burning anger made them one mind for that moment.

Ralae screamed as the tunnel snake slithered and flopped in her direction as well as the other woman doing the distracting. Gasping, razor sharp claws hit her arm and the bulk of it's body crushed her somewhere between the floor and the wall.
[Damage 1d6-1; 4-1=3; HP 30-3=27]
There was blood but the scratches seemed shallow enough that they would heal. But it was the dark, the smell of blood, the pain... Ralae had been doing her best to hide it from all, including her Wing Leader and closest friends... As her head rocked against the wall, she began to shut down. There was only so much trama, so much pain a person could take and though her eyes remained open & she continued to breath, Ralae went blank.

D'lin HP - 30 Group A - Distracting the Tunnel snake
Before much of a plan was formulated the snake had taken things out of their control in the rush of combatants that followed, a crush of people - and one green dragon - all trying to squeeze into the cave and attack he'd gotten separated from Ceta. Jostled and trying to find something to use against the snake he stilled when he heard that shriek. He knew that shriek ...he'd heard it a couple of times during the previous fighting.
"Out of my way." He snarled at the closest person, pawing through the angry crowd until he reached the front and could take in the scene. Ceta was laying on the ground, curled up but still moving and he willed her to stay still so as not to draw any further attention from the creature. He could make out the form of Ralae crushed against the wall as well. People were attacking the snake, attempting to lure it away from the injured and towards the cave mouth where harsh scrabbling sounds could be heard against the rock. The dragons, no doubt.
"Everyone back up, if we make it think it's got a chance to run it may well take it and the dragons can finish it off outside." Most cornered animals would attempt to flee rather then fight given the chance..but with the crush of people attempting to take their frustrations out on it the snake really had no choice. Grabbing the closest rock he could find D'lin wound up and threw it at the snake, attempting to draw it away from the wall where it was crushing Ralae and closer to the scarred green that was trying to reach it. "Hey! Over here!" He yelled at the beast, throwing another rock and taking a few steps back so it would have to move.

Roscoe HP - 30 Attacking the snake Snake HP = 73 - 7 = 66
When everyone had run forward to attack the snake, Roscoe wasn't about to be left behind, he saw the snakes vicious attacks and heard the orders to back up, to draw it out...and while he saw the sense in them he also saw the sense in beating the sharding thing senseless. With a shout he rushed forward to bring his makeshift club down on the beasts scales before leaping backwards. There ..if it retaliated it would have to move away from the wall..right? It made him feel better to be doing something in any case.

Kallista-Group B-Attacking
Kallista had been to the left of V'tur and Relys, following them into the clearing. A makeshift camp had been set up, definitely indicating that someone had been along recently. Shards! Why was all of Pern going the way of madness? Hearing the angry blue above, Kallista knew it to be the enemy though she knew neither foe well.
Scrambling and pushing herself to catch up, she saw a human sized shadow and hissed. There he was! It was not in her nor Astarteth to be violent nor wish harm to another. But if wounding this man would save the lives of so many others, so be it. Not close enough to attack with her knife, Kallista grabbed a small enough branch and threw it like a spear towards the escaping man. Astarteth, I hear a fight about in the skies. Stay with me so that we might capture him! You try to circle around to the other side and block him. But DO NOT touch him, do not attack! This is our fight.

P'zul-Group A-Distracting
SHARDS! He watched as the tunnel snake was angered more by their attacks and then turned to attack the two closest riders who had sought its attention. His friend Ralae and the girl, Ceta were hit and now underneath, somewhere under that beast's bulk.
Whooping and hollaring, he caught what the others said about leaving it space to run. That was good. If it ran, then they could attack from behind and try to avoid teeth and claws. "Heh! Hey! Let's go!" He didn't want to throw anything and risk hitting the others but maybe if he made his bulk look bigger, he could startle it into running. With D'lin on the other side, P'zul only hoped the herding would help.

Asoth - Attacking Raith - tag group HP: 44/50
Asoth didn't see what attacked him and his first thought was Felines but he hadn't scented anything unusual. At first all he could scent was his own ichor dribbling from claw marks on his back and he roared, confused until he heard Moriath's enraged yell and instantly his eyes flashed red/orange as she.. they.. were almost one mind for a few heartbearts. He launched up into the air after the Blue, it was hard to see him in the dark but his attacks on the other dragons drew Asoth in to the traitor's position.
He snarled and drove himself at the blue form and noted that Moriath had also launched an attack. "you DARE!" he bellowed, teeth bared and claws reaching for anything he could reach of the Blue, there was no way this creature was getting away from him.... or so he hoped. There were more dragons than just him and, despite his rage, he still wanted to be the one that brought the traitor down, to be applauded and adored for it.

Hekate: Rolling to capture rider Group B
The sound of shouts and battle caught Hekate's attention as she picke dup her pace bursting into the clearing at the camp. What on Pern was going on? Wait!? As she spun catching sight of a dark shadowy figure she didn't know. Who between was that? The entire place was in chaos as a blue dove and attacked and the figure was out of her reach before she could leap to tackle it.

The Tunnel Snake threw its head up as three people tried to distract it but their noise only added to the cacophony of the cave and it returned its attention to the wounded girls that had so foolishly charged it. The woman throwing pebbles at it was close enough to crush and so it did, pinning her but it drew the snake away from the wall and towards the cover Kleos had identified. The spike above seemed precarious, the spike below crumbling...

[Kleos - Pinned! HP: 30/30]
The tunnelsnake's huge powerful body swung around, slamming her down with bruising force and pinning her to the ground again. Teeth bared in a snarl she squirmed, desperately trying to free herself, to get air, to get up and pull its attention away from Cetalese and Ralae. As she struggled she managed to gasp; "Get Them. Out!" Them being the young riders under attack, but she hadn't the breath to say any more.
---------------
[Carltis - Stunned! HP: 30/30]
The massive beast made a swipe at him, whether to attack him or pin him down he didn't know or care he just moved. It wasn't an especially graceful sideways dive but it got him out of the way. As he was rolling to his feet however a deafening roar reverberated through the cave; the shock put him off balance and sent him sprawling back to the ground, hands clamped over his ears, lips pulled back in a grimace.
---------------
[Berath HP: 60/60]
Still there was nothing she could do! Forcing herself to remain rational the huge green moved back a little from the cave entrance to make it easy for the humans to retreat if they needed to. As she moved she saw it pin Kleos flat again, and make vicious strikes at two young women; it was all she could do not to scream and throw herself at the rockface in rage and fear for the humans inside.
---------------
[Brumath HP: 60/60]
Rather late on the scene Brumath landed with a heavy thud, his usually muted eyes as red as rubies. he sent urgently to F'itz, For once he had no riddles, no wish to weave his words to confound; this was important.
---------------
[F'itz > Moving to join tunnelsnake group! HP: 30/30]
F'itz looked up from finishing off tying a bandage around a young man's arm, grey eyes going wide.
"Shaff!"
Without another word to or glance at anyone the grey-haired man took off towards his dragon at a dead sprint, grabbing an awkward half armful of bandages on his way past a hastily piled stack on one of the tables that had been laid out for the feast.
