See, here's the thing.
Linarite was a General. And even though Taranis had upgraded too, it still had him staring up at her from a lower power rank. He had rage on his side, sure, but it was still special kind of stupid that sent him charging after her without any kind of back-up.
Well, not any useful back-up.
When Castor grabbed Taranis, he successfully helped the senshi evade Linarite's attack, as well as stopped him in his tracks. Unfortunately, both of these things were only preventing Taranis from accomplishing his goal. He had no idea why his closest senshi friend was kissing the Nega who had nearly killed Magellan. He had no idea why he would kiss her and then try to kill her.
And frankly? None of it ******** mattered.
"You are a ******** DISGRACE to us all," he spat, wheeling on Castor. His other hand balled into a fist and swung straight at the senshi of hail. "WHO ARE YOU?" He followed up with another punch and then tried to spin back to face Linarite.
You know, to kill her and stuff.

A brownie-snowball? Merope was definitely creative. Flexing his fingers he felt leather flex and he was getting himself ready to unleash his attack. He had no idea there were too senshi in the coffin with the crystal. There were too many power signatures to define exactly where each was coming from. So without care he ran after Merope, fighting his way through the throng. ”Should we call Atlas and Alcyone?” He raised his voice as they ran, trying to make sure Merope heard him. At one point he had to grab onto the other boy’s arm, his leather boots slipping on the ice. What was ice doing on the ground anyway? He was so confused to what exactly was going on at the masquerade, but he would find out eventually.

It hurt.
In fact it hurt a lot. Taranis was no slacker when it came to a pure fist fight. And with his powers to back him up, Castor was hurting. A punch to his jaw got the senshi of hail with the taste of copper. The second punch knocked the wind from him. Still, Castor would not be denied. He knew Taranis's rage. He knew his anger, and sadly, Castor knew what he had done would be considered treason.
And frankly, he didn't care. As he fell, Castor grabbed the Sand senshi's leg. "DON'T YOU ******** TOUCH HER." Blood spat from his mouth. "Go after the crystal. The General is MINE. You can't handle her."
Like he could.

When Taranis tried to spin, he slipped. So when Castor grabbed his leg, he effectively sling-shotted the senshi across the ice, even if it wasn't quite in the direction he wanted. Spinning like a top, Taranis skidded toward the coffin where the crystal had been stashed. He knew it was there. He knew that he should get it for the senshi.
But you know what?
Magellan was more important.
Circumstance brought him toward the crystal, and it was for that reason alone that Taranis allowed himself one tiny glimpse to see where it was. He fully intended on killing Linarite, regardless of what Castor said. And then he would go after Castor for answers. But for this one moment, he would allow himself a tentative reach for the object of everyone's attention.

"WAVE FIST!" went the pirate sailor senshi as his wateryfist slammed into a fiery youma. He was very glad that his hands were protected by gloves -- the thick, jelly-like texture that he could feel through the fabric still caused a brief mixture of disgust and curiosity to cross his face before he shoved the now-soaked youma corpse away. "Do what?" He called over his shoulder, "Yeah! We better do that!" His non-wet hand was held out, summoning his senshi phone.
"HEY! HEEE- Whooooah!" He yelled, stumbling right along with Orion as they both tried to stand on the ice. "HEY! Um! Stuff's happening at the ball! Come quick and come as sailors 'kay? Got it!" The boy hung up, nearly dropping his phone as Taranis skidded past. "Hoi!"

A phone dropped into his hand right after Merope pulled his out. He'd call the other teammate just to make sure they both knew. "Hey, the masquerade has turned into a circus. There's a crystal and a bunch of - OH s**t. JUST GET DOWN HERE." The phone was snapped shut and disappeared backpedaling as the senshi of sand went by.
"Man, forget this ice, time to bring some heat." Sliding to a stop he focused his aim on the coffin and called out his attack. "Meteor Rain!" There was a crackle and then softball sized firey meteors began to fall on the coffin...and everyone within five feet. Yeah not one of Orion's better ideas. At least after the meteors fell they were still being licked by flames which would help melt the ice....hopefully. "Ah s**t, man. Think they'll know it was me?" Maybe if he hid behind Merope nobody would notice.

As soon as his teammate called down meteors, Merope threw his arms up defensively to block the falling debris. Thankfully he was too far away to be hit, but it never hurt to be cautious. He peeked out from behind his arms, surveying the scene. "Niiiice!" He dropped his guard and dashed forward as best as he could on the ice, shoving his way to the coffin.
Before he was pushed away, Merope tried desperately to get his hands on whatever was calling to him -- to everyone.

Orion only waited a second before rushing after Merope. "Thanks!" He grinned, his worry about others being mad at him disappearing. He lifted an arm trying to deflect most the meteors from his head, taking them on the gloved part of his arm attempting to avoid burns.
When he got close enough he jumped at the coffin trying to to grab it.

Holy ******** s**t. Everything had gone apeshit. Heaven forbid he get one night, uh ?
Even worse, he had no idea where Bell went. Please let her have ran out of here !
As it was, the chaos was enough to have him dive under the table unnoticed, and then he punched a drive by youma as he went right for where he had last seen the crystal. The female voice was like a compulsion he couldn't ignore, and he didn't have time to question it.

Maia frowned at the going on having had something in her hair, only to be swiped at and acosted by attacks from other senshis. It was terrible, but, with addition of the crystal to the world and the woman everything span further and further out of control.
The crystal managed to be bounched about the room like a bean bag and every where you steped you potientally might suffer at the hands on another.
Maia was getting tired of be swiped at by youma, being grabbed, pushed, kicked and steped on. She didn't know much more of this she wanted to take crystal be damned.
Suddenly someone knocked into her spending her sliding across the frigid ice covered floor, then suddenly it was raining fire balls. Maia gave small yelps as she rolled about the floor to avoid the attack, but not managing it well or the feet which ran about.
There was a blessing in the situation as she noticed the crystal was close and jumped up to make a grab for it.

Ariel was late for the ball, she entered and didn't understand what was happening. What was all this crazy activity ?
She just discovered she was a senshi recenlty she was not up for fight yet.
And why everyone was talking about a crystal ?

Sailor Maia managed to trip, how could she not with meteors on the floor, ice and flames, though they did seem to be canceling each other out, somewhat.
She slide right into Sailor Themis groaned and rubbing her thighs as she fell to the ground. She looked up and the grin that erupted could only be described as mad. She pointed to the boy, "you," she said laughing before she jumped up staring at him with a grin.
"Well, what are you waiting for this place is the perfect erray of horrible noise. Get on with it," she egged him on knowing his attack would be the perfect sudden distraction.

-Fiery meteors began to pelt the coffin AND the amazon senshi from her place on the ground behind it. Granted a few of the other people around took some of the attack, but two good hits drew yelps of pain and surprise from Sailor Juno. It was like being hit by a baseball, except that baseball was on fire and the flames seered her bare skin. She didn't want to play anymore... this was way too crazy.
Bursting up from the floor where she'd be trampled, hit with attacks, and vomited on she couldn't help but flail out, hitting perhaps both enemy and ally. But atleast she was on her feet again finally, and that was something. Her fists swung out wildly and aggressively, hoping they'd land on an enemy, but in the huge cluster around the coffin who knew.
Soft pink touched the corner of her eye, and she tried to look over all the people vieing for the coffin and crystal.-
-Polaris was happy to see that for the most part the negaverse seemed intent on their task, not really caring about the easy civilian targets. Granted it would be a mess if they got the crystal, but there were SO many senshi trying, they'd still win right?
It left her with only youma to face. Her arms swung out with her small weapon, crashing into the head of a nearby youma. It came down again, hard, and he puffed into the ever familiar dust. Shifting on her feet she looked for the next, casting her eye over her shoulder to make sure the group of civilians behind her were still hanging in there.-

Coffin. The Crystal was in a ******** COFFIN. Saiph groaned at the number of bodies already pressed around the wooden box, all scrabbling to get at the crystal. She had to find a way to clear some of them away.
Ducking the flaming claws of a youma, she decided to use the ice to advantage and sent herself sliding. Reaching out a hand to grab at the nearest pair of ankles to stop herself, she pulled herself to her knees. Well, if she wanted to try and clear away some of the press of bodies, she was going to have to fall back to her old standby. She was stronger now and had better control over her wayward attacks. She couldn't aim for the coffin or she'd risk destroying the crystal as well as whomever was trapped inside. But if she aimed just to the side... It was worth a shot.
Forcing herself to ignore the sight of Nemesis and Hematite stumbling around, she aimed, closed her eyes and hissed, "Tail Thrash!"
The energy was visible in the odd gloom of the ballroom. A glowing, golden form that would make some of those who saw it think of an enormous shark's tail, while others would swear that it was the tail of some dinosaur. Whatever its true form, the energy was strong enough to send debris and people flying.
