Fffft. Posing as a gym is too predictable. Stealing pokemon from trainers in a waterpark, now... That's something different. >D

My post is 2nd on page 13.
Natsu said ANY media was acceptable, so I figured a doll falls under the category of "any." It probably took more time to create that doll than some people put into drawing her, too, so it's not like I used the doll creator as a cop-out to doing actual work. Those things have thousands of choices under multiple categories, and trying to find items that look similar to the person you're trying to create is time-consuming.
She also said anyone who POSTED gets a badge. She didn't even specify that the people who posted had to have an entry that was up to her standards, just that a post was required. So since I posted, I should get a badge along with everyone else.

She said any media, but that it had to be 50% your own work. That's not 50% your own work, and since it wasn't, even if you posted, you violated that rule and that's probably why you didn't get the badge.
She wasn't letting people take trainer bases and just change colors - they had to do more work than that to make it their own, so I think it's safe to assume that just making a doll where you're not altering anything at all isn't enough of your own work to suffice.

Someone else created the items, I put all the items together. That's 50% of the work to me. Also, that rule specifically applies to trainer image edits, or at least that's the way it seems to be worded in the rules. Since I didn't edit an official Pokemon trainer sprite, this does not apply to me.
As for being signed, that doesn't even prove you did the work. Anyone can take an image from the internet and slap their username onto it in an art program. There's really no good way to prove anyone actually made any of the work they posted, unless they happen to have multiple work-in-progress screenshots. And even then... what if they found someone's online art portfolio or something that has a page to show the process of their work? With a contest like this, though, it would be extremely rare to find a finished piece online that actually resembles Natsu's gym character. In this case, I'd say the resemblance alone would be enough to prove you did the work.
That all isn't my main point, though. I'm not trying to get Natsu to award my doll a badge if she doesn't like it. I am specifically trying to earn the promised badge for everyone who posted, in which I was one of the people who posted. Even if my entry is not accepted, I should still get one badge for posting.

You can't earn a badge for posting because it was not your work. She awarded a badge to everyone who posted their work regardless of whether or not she would have originally awarded the piece a badge. You violated a rule of the thread by posting something that wasn't yours, so your entry is null and void.
Yes, it was probably a pain to put all the pieces on the dolly, but this is an art thread - for drawing, craft, etc. What you did was not art. It sucks that some of us can't do art, but you know, those of us who can't simply didn't enter or tried to use cleverness to overpower a lack of talent.
