IMO at this point, its better they make all fillers the rest of this season. i dont want kamui to turn out terrible like the characters do at the start of ever single one of the arcs. (start of piffle: fai's hair too short and eyes wrong shade of blue...and at angst moment they wer WEEEIRD| start of shura: fai's hair f-d up. nuf said. ) i dont want an ugly bishi crying

41, once again proves perfection. ecxept for the ppart where kurogane teases mokona, which seems OOC, and that wierd arch thingy, it was pure canon.
42 i noticed that betrain screwed up seriously. they gave away something early. soemthing that was revealed in ch 122 or so, stupid beetrain. those who dont read the manga will not understand really what xing hou meant when she said "only thru him can we supivise them" it COULD be taken to how tube-syao could be "controling" our-syao but to manga readers, its a massive foul-up.
Then... the 42... I also noticed that finally the subs are up. I'll watch them as soon as the epi downloads. So they gave away that??? Wow... yes it is too early...
Well, here goes again: -Except for the song... I can't feel any emotion coming from Syaoran... Where was all the excitement from the end of the last chapter??? -I knew it! I knew there would be flashbacks to the first epi in this episode!!! My... how different they look... They don't look so stretched up. BTW I've never complained about them being so skinny and such... I know it's part of the character design, and I don't really mind, since CLAMP did it that way... but it is strange to see that they had a more realistic complexion back then... -That doesn't have any sense! There is no one there because of that? The first thing Sakura remembered after waking up in the manga was a town in the desert with lots of people... It doesn't have any sense that there isn't anybody... Well... it's kinda like a filler episode, using an existing arc... so what the hell... -Kurofai-ness!!! It's funny... now that we have learned a little bit more about Fai's past, and that he said something about a lie... now it made a lot of sense Fai's angstiness after Kuropon told him that he's always lying. "Kurosama has just pointed a very serious matter..." And well, maybe CLAMP took that idea from here, because we know that epi 43 came before chapter 130... or maybe it was at the same time, and CLAMP told the Bee Train squids about this... OK... nice point *checks* -What an animation it was back then... crying I want more epis like the first one... that was the very best... -Syaoran! Don't be so cruel! God... to talk that directly to Kurogane about his mother's murder... OK, at least Kurogane's as cold as ice... so there wasn't much of a problem... One more thing. Up to this point, I didn't complain about the character design in this specific epi... but Kurogane again looks awful, at least in this part of the anime... huge ears... -Fake smile... wasn't it supposed to be a bat sign? "when we met our opponents at the god's castle"... what is he talking about??? Oh... the last chapter from season 1... I see now... I didn't remember there were those soldiers over there in that country... *starts remembering* Ooooh... yes... I remember now. Now it all makes sense. -Well, now Kurogane has another reason to go on travelling. My... I'm really impressed with this... I don't know how I didn't get it then... -LOL... Kurogane has trouble expressing himself... but that was a girly scream!!! Not always Syaoran kun... There ARE some kind persons that express their kindness all the time... -Mmm... so this thing Xing Fuo said, she said it in the manga after real Syaoran was released? (Sailor Yue, clear my forgetfulness, please sweatdrop) If she did... then they did screw it up... not so surprising, coming from squids. But I guess this means they're already losing control of real Syaoran. At least, that's how it should be taken, in my belief. And they also screwed up on the heights here... Fei Wong is a lot more taller than Xing Fuo. Character design hasn't gotten better in this chapter... *rewinds* Look! When they're looking at Syaoran and the shot's been taken from their behind, they have the correct heights... but the next shot, Xing Fuo increased in size mysteriously. -Yeah, Fei Wong... you're confident now... wait until Xing Fuo treasons you. xd -I DO remember the watch!!! Huh? I expected a Syaoran flashback with the watch... -It looks so unreal, Kurorin and Syaoran-kun running and jumping at the same time... It would be ok for a comic scene, but not for a serious one! damn squids... stressed Animate properly!!! scream -You're so right, Sakura, you can't do anything because of the squids... Waiting is the same as doing nothing in the meantime, Mokona! Don't persuade her that she's actually useful at this point, because she isn't! -Yes!!! I remember this part in the manga... Syaoran is possesed by real Syaoran!!! *when did he stand up???* Nice close-up to his eye... the left eye... eek -Wow... real Syaoran must be really strong... just two hits and the lion's out... -Fai's started whistling... this time for real... -It's the song again, from the last episode. I liked it... but since they also used it here... I'm afraid it's gonna die soon... crying -LAME!!! Why did they warp somewhere else??? Mokona's feet are messed up... what kind of drawing is that??? This was a fast paced epi... It wasn't all that good, nor all that bad... it was just so so, but yeah... it was lame that they didn't go to the next world... Now the next one WILL be a filler from an existing arc...
[Edit] The name for epi 50 is: "The determination of the group". Nakama can be understood as group or circle of friends, so they're probably talking about the main characters... but who knows?

[manga spoilers]it wasnt real syao, it was clone persona who did that. and many complained that he beat the manticore too fast. it should have been a larger fight, cuz in the manga, syaoran mentions that he doesnt remember a fight and yet his legs are sore
I know it was clone Syaoran, but he was being posessed by real Syaoran, so that's why I said that real Syaoran was really strong, well, whatever... they're almost the same person anyway LOL
And yes... he beat it too fast... but at least the pace was fast enough to keep us awake through the chapter. If they did it larger... the epi wouldn't have finished after they teleport. But maybe they would have managed better if the epi finished just when they were surrounded by that strange water. Oh well...

they coulda executed fai's magic as well. he tosses his hat in then whistles. kuro yells at him then fai uses his magic. no emotion there. they coulda atleast ggiven fai an angsty face. even if they werent going to go to tokyo, they coulda done it right, liek the manga, <_<
Well, the ending did feel a little bit rushed... so yeah, it lacked quality somehow...

-Wait a minute... Sakura was unconscious ne? Why the hell did she wake up so soon?!?! scream When she received this feather in the manga, she was asleep for a really REALLY LONG TIME!!! I mean... she even stopped breathing, for god's sake!!! -Why are the lions smaller? They were huge statues, for the love of God!!! gonk -etto... why wouldn't they look in the library? After all, that's where the crime happened!!! My god... only 4 minutes and this isn't making any sense!!! scream -That's really pathetic Syaoran-kun! To get scared by Fai in such a stupid way!!! (However, it was somehow funny, it made me laugh a little) -OMG... screwd Kurogane's face!!! I remember that Yue chan even posted some images showing awful character design for this chapter! (Was it this chapter, Yue chan?) -OK... They shouldn't leave as heroes!!! They should have left as the thieves they were supposed to be!!! ARGHHH!!! STUPID BEE TRAIN AND STUPID CENSORSHIP!!! AN AWARD?!?!?! The episode started bad... continued and became a bit better with Kurogane's funny moments... but then it became awful with this!!! THEY ARE CRIMINALS! THEY STOLE SOMETHING VALUABLE!!! *beats head against a wall* -A NICE COUNTRY!!! Mokona... you should read the manga... for your own good crying
OK, in summary, the episode started weird, being an adaptation from the manga world... Then in the middle it became somehow better, but then the ending came...I didn't like the ending at all, because what was originally a sad/angsty/desperate departure to the next world was transformed into a celebration of Kurogane's promise, that they made the feather disappear... I mean, when they arrived in Tokyo country (the next manga world after Rekoruto) I think they felt like... somehow guilty of having to do what they did to recover the feather and escape the country so desperately... and that emotion got lost... The good thing is... it seems that we won't see any of Tokyo country in this season (thank goodness)
Next time, Kero chan and Mokona! I wonder how did BT manage to use a CLAMP character that wasn't in the TRC manga? Hmm... I hope they do a better job.
I think this arc had many vocal songs at the end of each chapter... The songs were good, but I think it's too much use of the same method... I got somehow bored of this... I mean, for epi 41, it was excellent, then in 42 it was "ok, I'll take it"... but this time it was awful because of the huge change they did in the story. The songs are good by themselves, however.
Oh, yeah, and one final thing: I couldn't really translate the name for epi 51... it's 凍てつくミタマ and the only thing I know is that the first part means "frozen". Well, see you in the next review!

i agree. they also BETTER have clamp working with them. in the first season, in them naga at that point was the most viloent arc. (it's now #3 in the greand sceme...tokyo, shura, outo (tied by suwa...) tokyo needs more then the 3/4 episode rush that this season got hit by. (piffle could have been 4 episodes...they cut out part of the race. they should have put in idols...it would have made a nie manga-filler episode. shura was OK, but pushing it at 4 episodes, lecourt was done nicely at 3 episodes...did not need filler)
anyways. CLAMP HAS to work with tokyo, otherwise...no one will watchthe anime again.
as for the kerochan ep...its a nice episode...pretty crackitastic tho. the only BAD thing about it is the animation and fai's WTF face...(sakura and syaoran are 10 for some reason O_o)

I got a newsletter last night saying that the translation for the episode was "Frozen soul" And yes... I fear they will say something about Ashura... and hell, I'm scared! Not even CLAMP have touched the subject deeply... and it they do that... and crew it up... I swear I'm going to explode... burning_eyes
Does anyone know if Funimation is bringing Tsubasa to the U.S.? At Funimation's booth at Otakon they had a huuuge poster of Tsubasa and xxxHolic. I also saw that Anime Insider(magazine) had an article talking about the anime, but I couldn't get a copy.

the anime and both movies ARE lisensed and will air sometime in the US. eiter at the end of this year or early next year.
The last episode's name is: "The wings of tomorrow" The particle "he" is being used... So it gives the impression of another possible title: "Wings that head for tomorrow". Yeah... that is more suitable.
