Carmen sighed and abruptly turned away from the guy who was trying to talk her into dancing. For some reason the idea of some guy trying to grope her wasn't appealing tonight. She muttered a barely audible excuse and drifted off into the noticably thinner crowd. Where had everyone gone, was she missing something...

Saint Jimmy had dismissed her, it seemed. Pity. Banal or not, he would probably make for some interesting company.
Morgan, too, approached the phones that lay scattered out where people had picked through them. None of them were particularly appealing, Glamour-wise. She could fix that, though.
Grabbing one at random - it happened to be silver and black - she fished a sticker out of her pocket - the jewel-like, stick-on earring kind that young girls loved. Morgan kept small trinkets like that on hand most of the time. The reporter placed the sticker on the front, and gave a self-deprecating laugh.
"Custom job." She winked at Jimmy this time. "Care to trade digits?" She was looking at both Jimmy and Christian. "And is it just myth, or do you really sleep all day?"

Samirah smiled to herself as she fingered the cards in her pocket. The Wheel of Fortune turned and turned, leaving the Fool to believe he held the power of the Magician. And then the Seven of Swords would rise up and strike down the powerful current age... through virtue of nothing more than its own foolish beliefs of life.
Blood wine was sweet on the tongue, the coppery taste of blood mixing with the delicacy of the alcohol...

Christian nodded, "We sleep most of the day, but must remain out of the light. I usually stay up a bit and work on my art before I sleep." He looked at the cell phone, looking atthe numbers already in it. "They have numbers already..."
Bren nodded, "Right. Each of the cell phones has the other phones numbers...just change the name to who ever got the phone. The number for the club is there, as well as a few others. I'm not going to send your out with out contact help."

Sami wrapped her fingers around a single card, whispering softly to herself in the language of the Seers-- long forgotten now, for the most part. The words formed a prayer to the gods of truth and veils, asking for a card for guidance to help her in this attempt.
The Seven of Wands. How appropriate for this game that slowly played itself out...

Jimmy smiled at Morgan. "I sleep all day, as much as I can." He palyed around all night, so why not? He heard Bren and smiled more. "Cool! Then I'll put you on speed dial!" He said while looking at Morgan and laughing. "Hey, so when we heading out on this mission?"

Bren pointed to the door, "Go ahead....I'll send more out when they get here."
Christian looked at Avery, "You coming with us...or staying behind?" He looked at Jimmy, "We might have to take a cab to downtown."

He stepped into the night air from the theatre he had spent his first day in the city and took a deep breath. His breath whispered out in a throaty chuckle as he shook his head, a meter long ponytail shaking behind him as he turned and sauntered up the street towards his first pub of the night, It may take a while but he knew by word of mouth that this prince was fair. "Always good to announce yourself though." He said half to himself and chuckled. "It was *so* nice of that girl to give me a bit to drink before sending me out the door. So much better to be the siren rather than the predator indeed." He hummed and danced his way through the late night traffic walking in beat up and ragged sneakers, what looked like flannel PJ bottoms with Triangle Prisems turning light beams to rainbows, his hands shoved in the pockets of a leather bomber jacket with butterflys sewn into it's back and sides, his shirt proudly proclaiming -Alumni of Frat 666- and his eyes covered with battered gold rimmed green glass sunglasses. They almost looked like welding glasses resized to fit an old set of victorian frames. "Ah, Trial and error, but it looks as good a place as any. Celtic Elysium, bets on that being it. If not, Damndable luck and a hope for some good info!" And he smiled as he came to the front door. "Welcome to the City, Nightlife being the best part of any college town open saysame!" He chuckled and moved to enter. ((couldn't find a description of the area declaired elysium or a city descrip with it so I'm assuming light guard of ghouls might guard it. He's not rushing by any means though.))

Someone was coming. Samirah could feel the subtle changes in the air, the Sight widening her eyes and letting her See what was beyond the obvious. Gift of heritage, gift of past, used only for the present-- never to See the past, for that was forbidden... no matter how much one wanted it.
A man, still reeking of arrogance... intolerable. Yet he still existed, still came in.
A threat? No. Not yet. Not to her, at least.
Another drink. Let the games play themselves out-- Sami would do as she pleased, as she wanted. Everything had a reason, the Fates decreed it.

As he strolled in he chuckled to himself and grinned at the swami-mommy in the corner. "Fun place." He murmered to himself with another chuckle. "Just like my mommy warned me against... perfect." His voice was low as he chuckled and danced his way towards the nearest likely vampire, his head bopping as his feet did a small soft shoe to the music. His eyes raked over the woman and he dropped into a formal bow that a gentelman would have used to a lady in the era just before the victorian era. A quaint bit as he then rose to ask. "Mind if I join you for a bit of conversation milady? To share verbal discourse with a woman as striking and enchanting would be a treat worth all the miles I have walked." He asked politly, waiting for word from her to continue. His charm not manipulative but almost, like the banter of a gentleman looking to talk to a lady. Not serrious so much as social.

"Your intellect fails to impress me, Sir," Sami smiled delicately. "Your eyes say much more than your lips ever could-- and that's more than enough. So verbal discourse is out-- but if you would enjoy a fortune telling, that much I can give."
Harsh words, perhaps, but this man was not impressive in the least to Samirah.

He grinned and then bowed a chuckle rising to his lips. "Oh good! I hated that stuff when I had to do itthen and hate it just as much now!" He said lightly his formal tone melting back to the grin of before, his eyes twinkling again, breifly as he looked to the table and then back to the lady before him. "Less formality, more sustinance. I would not mind having my fortune read at all. In fact it sounds rather fun. Though I seem to lack much in the way of payment, I wasn't kidding on that. Perhaps you tell my fortune and I spin you a tale of some of my recent adventures? Or perhaps there is some small bit of news from New Orleans or LA you mght be interested in?" He grinned relaxing but not taking a seat till she offered one. He was far from stupid, and to assume anything around a city vamp was a good way to truely offend them.

Sami shrugged. "I don't see why your tales would interest me, Sir."
A traveler. Bringing her cards out, but not actually touching them, Samirah murmured quietly under her breath, calling up the Sight to assist her in this.
"The Tower is your present, Sir. I would suggest you keep your wits about you."

"Good advice, no matter the season. Any other tellings or adivce would be appreciated." He gave a small smile but his eyes, were serrious now. He doesn't mess with magics. His mentor taught him better than that. Crazy as a bat half the time but when she wasn't watch out. "I mearly offer what is within my willingness to give today, my trading is in what I have now, I never broker on the future, not to others, though I am willing to discus it and possibly learn from it." He said softly, encouraging more if she so chose to give it, but making it clear that no future debts could be called for it.

Sami didn't care about debts-- if she Saw something, she said it. Never quite exactly as she Saw it, but that was her own choice. "There's a change coming into your life soon, Sir. If you don't choose Temperance, you may find yourself out in the light of the Moon."
