Foxpaw looked around the leader's den. There was no one there. She turned around and looked out at the clan. She saw Berrypaw heading for the apprentice's den and immediately went after her. She went into the den and saw that Berrypaw was already asleep. Dismayed, she exited and looked around for someone else.

Smokepelt brightened her eyes and meowed, "Hello Blossomkit! Are you excited for becoming an apprentice? I hear you only have one more moon to go!" She remembered the time when she was a kit, so eager to become an apprentice she could hardly contain herself.

Blossomkit bounced around excitedly, "Yes! I can't wait to be an apprentice!" She purred, "Look, Berrypaw showed me how to hunt." She then dropped into a crouch and stalked forward, showing Smokepelt what she learned. She made sure her tail wasn't dragging along the ground and held it out perfectly straight. "Soon I'll be helping to feed my clan, just like you do!" She meowed, turning around to face Smokepelt. She knew it wasn't a perfect hunting crouch but she had been practicing as much as she could and it looked alot better than on her first try.

Smokespelt gave a mrrow of amusement and said, "You've almost got it perfect! You're going to be a great hunter when your a warrior, I know it! Here, let me show you the hunting crouch..." With that, Smokepelt got up and shook the dirt of her pelt. She crouched as low as her legs could take her, but not too low that her belly was dragging against the ground. She stalked a random leaf and pounced, tearing it to shreds. She straightened up and said, "Keep practicing and soon you'll be catching so much prey we won't know what to do with it!!"

Silentpaw watched Blossomkit, it looked as if what Smokepelt said was true she would make a great hunter some day. He to remebered when he had been a kit but he missed those days he missed his litermates who had died from green cough, he sighed his Mother and Father had died aslo that year.

Smokepelt sat down and wrapped her kinked tail around her legs. "Promise me one thing, Blossomkit. Don't ever sneak out of camp," Smokepelt lifted her tail up so she could see it up close. "I learned my lesson when I was your age..." Smokepelt could feel a stare on her back and looked up to see Silentpaw watching them. "Are you all right, Silentpaw?" she called to him cheerfully.

spots foxpaw and bounds over to her friend "foxpaw! are you looking for dawnstar? she's in my den.. don't disturb her!"
looks around then whispers " will you help me take skykit, ravenkit and reedkit to the moonpool?"

Blossomkit immediately mimicked Smokepelt's hunting crouch as best she could, her whiskers twitching as the warrior shredded a leaf. She then sat back to listen to what the she-cat said. "I promise I will never sneak out of camp unless I absolutely have to." She mewed in reply, Blossomkit never thought about sneaking out of camp but if she had to she didn't want to be held back by a promise she made. "Hi Silentpaw!" She meowed to the apprentice, her focus immediately shifting to the young tom.

Foxpaw jumped as she was approached. "Dawnstar's in your den? But I MUST talk to her! It's important!"

Silentpaws ears flickered up in surprise, a bit. "Err...Yeah Im fine." He shook his head trying to fcouse on the present it was as if he was trying to run from a bad dream he took a small step back. "Blossomkit will be a great hunter." He replied as he watched her for a moment wondering if they thought he was odd, some times he didnt realize when he would look at something he would always become absorbed in the task and well. The sun felt warm on his back as if trying to comfort him he smiled for a moment trying to ignore his past memories but it was hard. "Im sorry...some times I..."

Smokepelt purred as she said comfortingly, "Sometimes you what? It's alright..." She lightly brushed his nose with her tail and said with a toothy smile, "We all have our moments..."
