*alyna wordlessly limped along behind Iden, tired ot the bone from exertion and healing, without eating, but doing her best not to show it as the Priestess smirked behidn them*
Better you give me this, an end befitting what you ARE Iden, then to live with your voice in my head..
The master sends his regards. He will never give up on you, or the Cat. Youll never... be safe...
*she slid onto her side as her blodo pooled around her. she was not long for this world*

Iden would carry Alyna. With a Ceilican's claws and strength added to his own, his feline form could rip its way up to the roof for evac. That was no problem; he had hardly dipped his reserves for the op. All told, the battle had gone more or less as he'd wanted...it was quite refreshing compared to the norm. And of course, by the time they were at the roof, both alpha and bravo teams were present. The charge was set, and the airlift was on its way...

Put me down. I'm hungry, that all. I'll not be the weak woman in front of your men....
*she sounded as tired as she was, but she meant her words. She had pride, and didnt wish to be the weakest link. Her pwns twitched - she couldnt struggle, she'd cut Iden open.
Down below, the authorities were gathering*

When we get there. Besides, even weak, you could pick apart any of those men and they know it. You went with me into hell, they didn't. Hold your head high.
Iden wasn't going to let her walk until there was solid ground to walk on. But he spoke with a quiet tone, more a grumble from his muzzle than anything else as he ripped skywards. Eventually they'd reach the top of the line, where Iden would kick out the elevator door and let Alyna scramble out first. THen, he would stand. Their airlift should be soon in arriving, it had already been signalled. Now was the time to hope and pray Richards came through with his chopper.

Thank you.
*A simple, yet heartfelt expression. She scrambled obediantly onto the roof as Iden boosted them up to it, tiredly wondering what to do about her cat form - if she shifted, she was going to be naked as a human. but how did you explain a Jaguar to your air crew?
There wouldnt be long to decide. An unmarked black helicopter was inbound, and closing fast. No way the authorities on the ground would know it was British*

:: Alyna. Back in the stairwell. You can't go on that chopper as a cat. Change...and I'll explain your convenient lack of clothing. ::
What Iden DIDNT explain was that he was going to gas her with hagnose breath once she was human again, to explain why she was naked. Convenient chemical burns, where the clothing had been a lost cause due to extensive contamination. With a tiny nuclear detonation about to go off to wrap things up nicely, the report would be well filed with most of the loose ends tied up well.
Except the whole reason for the raid had been completely lost on the results.

*Doing as she was bidden and vanishing from sight as the chopper came close enough to get visual, she shifted obediantly, tiring her weary self still more with another shift.
And then he gassed her. She was too tired to be brave. Too hungry, to exhausted, and it hurt like hell as the burns spread across her flesh. She screamed, and sagged, falling to her knees, which in turn exposed the rest of her to the gas, and spread more acidic burs across her neck, back and chest. This time, she wouldnt be walking out there to the men unaided. Shuddering, pain filled breaths passed through her as she looked at Iden with hurt eyes, knowing this was necessary, but so weary she couldnt just pass it off. It was a miracle she was even still conscious.
The chopper came to a hove overhead, ladders dropped as two men rapelled down to meet any injured. Handy, considering Alyna was a wreck now*

When the men rappelled down, Iden was there to greet them. His tone was one of urgency, as was that of his men.
Place is rigged to blow, lets MOVE it people!
He did not look Alyna in the eye. He did not want to. But she was going to be in the cabin with the rest of them, and there was a blanket SOMEWHERE in it all....he hoped. That way, he could slide her a taste of his blood to hold her over until proper food could be aquired.
For the whole of the trip back, Iden was silent and distant.

*Nodding curtly, the two men from the chopper supported Alyna between them, drawing a further peal of agony from her as they touched her wounds, unable to avoid it if she was to be helped above before boom.
Once everyone was onboard, the chopper rose, turned and fled the scene, the two med techs gently helping Alyna to lay down on a military low slung gurney, blankets gently spread over her, though she merely managed to hiss at both of them, twitching with pain. She wanted Iden, and no one else, near her.
He'd be given that option by the med techs as they moved away, offering to call her injuries in... and also demanding to know what had happened to her. It would be a minorly eventful flight, as being unmarked and unregistered, the Chinese airforce moved out to intercept. Luckily, the pilot was good enough to clear their airspace before they were fired upon, but it made for some bumpy flying*

Chemical burns was the explanation. The building had housed a cell of the extremist organization Iden had been pursuing, and they had used chemical weaponry to try and hold them off...of course, the med techs weren't going to be worried too much about it, not when the small AM charge went off, reducing the building to a mildly irradiated crater filled with ash and rubble.
So Iden accepted the offer, and sat by Alyna, keeping quiet as he let her feed her addiction for a moment. His mind was elsewhere, even though she had his full attention.

*Alyna buried her face against his wrist and licked hungrilly at what was presented to her, fighting her body to NOT heal the damage. That would blow their cover. Looking up at Iden, her eyes were no longer accusatory, just tired. She murmured one word, then fell asleep*
Harbin...
*Back at HQ, she would be rushed to the medical wing, where she would ONLY allow salves and bandages ot be applied, refusing all other treatment and demanding they speak to her commanding officer instead of trying to force her to take medication and have blood tests*

And every man or woman that came to Iden would find that he was adamant that she merely be bandaged and loaded in the truck with his men, and that she would be treated properly in a GAIAN hospital, not a British airbase.
And of course, Iden demanded that assurances be made to Richards that a full after action report would be made available for him. But it was known that Iden had the need to report in to his OWN superiors first and foremost, given the nuclear complication involved in the raid.

*Once assured that this was satisfactory by the commanding officer, Alyna was released from the medical bay with papers stating what treatment she'd recieved, basic as it was, and she even slid into the truck by herself, not making a sound as she took station by one of the other men form the unit.
SHe couldnt wait to be home, and the staff promised to inform Richard's of Iden's words*

Apart from promising Alyna her choice of game, courtesy of Iden, and whatever she would wish for a day of rest and recovery...Iden was silent. Once again, he was there, except in mind. But the long drive did see them home, something for which he was glad. Carrying her to Javos and explaining the situation would be the first priority, followed by finding game for her as a very close second.

Gambino. Iden hadn't been away for more than a week, and already he was making his return to Korbinian's hidden retreat. This time he brought company...Alyna was not far behind him.
Most of Iden's kit had been left with his men. They were waiting on the surface for their return. That left just the spear strapped to his back, and the clothes he wore. Lightweight, all the better to swim in. Into the depths, he led the way to the tunnels beneath the waves.
