((I got it! My handles are going to be like JOYSTICKS!! biggrin Thrust button on right, fly button on left. razz And the vehicle mode enabler will be... switch or nudder button. Yay!! ^___^))
Rain's face was showing emotion for the first time in a long time. It was fear, mostly. Mixed in with freaked-outness. She took her foot off the pedal on the far left, the speed pedal, and Eden slowed down and stopped. How'd that get there? she wondered. Shaking her head, she turned the handles to the left, turning Eden left. Moving them right, Eden turned right. "This is.. so weird..." she said.
((*thinks* Still need to figure out specifics on what controls do... Oo`))

(((Yeah, each LFO is different. Senturi for instance, locks in Kayako's arms to the controls a bit like theEND does Anemone, only the rest of the cockpit is normal.)))
Kayako sighed and hung her head for a moment, glad that Rain had finally gained some control over Eden. Now, they were ready to go.
'Thank god that's over.....' she thought 'Had me worried for a moment there-'
Behind them, and explosion sounded, lighting up the darkening sky with the orange-yellow glow of fire, *edit* On the ground near the hanger two large mecha crawled along and were blasting up into the sky at them. Unlike the LFO's or KLF's these machines more closely resemble large insects. There large heavy legs supported dual cannons on the backs of the bodies. Firing over and over again the sky continued to be lit up by there asault.
Kayako watched it all happen with a shocked look on her face. They'd been so absorbed with getting Rain and Eden out, they'd almost gotten themselves killed without even realizing it...
But there was no time for looking back now. There was still Gray, and the two LFO's approaching to worry about. She opened the comlink, connecting the three of them together.
"Ok, we need to head out....any idea which direction we're going in?"
Those two LFO's....as Kayako squinted, they looked almost familiar in a way....

((Darn... I was thinking something like that for the arms. razz Like... glovies that control the arms. Umm.. think of that suit the peoples wear in GundamG as an example, if you've ever seen it. razz ))
"You got me..." Rain said, still a little shaken up by the "get Eden to move" experience. She looked around at the outside. She saw dark clouds and the explosion of the hangar, which made her a little more nervous. Being in the sky reminded her of all those dreams she had had while residing in the building. There were just a few differences. In her dream, she was on some board, it was sunny, and she wasn't in Eden. With things going the way they are, maybe I will do that... she thought.
For the first time, she noticed five little blips on the radar screen infront of her. Two were moving towards a group of three, which she figured was herself, Kayako, and Gray. "Kayako..." she stared up. "Who're those two coming at us?"

"I don't know....hold on, I'll check it out...."
Kayako manuevered Senturi forwards away from Mercury and Eden, getting closer to the other two LFO's. As they got in range, she started to recognize them more and more. The shapes were familiar, like something she'd seen before....Then it hit her.
'Wha-Those two!! What are they doing here?? I mean...I-I thought....!!'
It was almost like seeing some kind of ghost from the past. The WhiteKnight and the other.....Rue and Nic, the two pilots she'd met way back right before she'd been captured by the military....back when she was free; before she'd found out about her past. With all that had been going on, she'd almost forgotten about them and the other Rehk smugglers; she'd never imagined that she'd see them again...
"Rain, Gray....I know those two!! Those are two of the pilots that worked with the Rehk...the ship I was flying with before I came to the foundation!!"
'I....I thought they forgot about me...' she added to herself silently.
But still, it gave them a good advantage. If she could get into contact with them, they might be able to help them get away from the foundation. In all honesty, they DID need someplace to go....
Kayako searched through the frequencies with her communicater. It didn't take long before Senturi connected with the closest of them; the WhiteKnight.
For a minute, she wasn't quite sure what to say...Greet them? Would they even remember her? But nonetheless, she had to try.
"R-Rue?? That's you...right? It's Kayako, do you remember me??"
She tried not to get her hopes up, but it wasn't working. She wanted them to remember who she was....

From inside the hanger the alarms were still going off. Several guard had chased after them and were firing there weapons up at the sky. The LFO's were to high to be hit by the bullets but it made returning nearly impossible.
-----------------
Inside the Foundation an old man sat at his desk. through binaculars he watched the air show and gnashed his teeth.
"This is not as we planned Xellien." Decard said under his breath. "You have crossed me." The founder grimaced and dropped the glasses onto his desk.
Turning around in his desk he sent out a page. "Survelience. Record all movements in the air. I want a full account of how the Eden responds. Also, give me the video footage from inside the hanger."
"Radio tower. Continue monitoring all frequencies. I want the airwaves to be given top priority. Contact the Main Tower at Joy Divisions Military base. Inform them that we have 2 unknown craft in our airspace.
"Security, Send out the assault tanks and any air based vehicles we can spare. I want those LFO's recovered with minimum damage. We cannot afford for them to get away. We can less afford for them to be damaged again."
Over the speaker a gruff voice responded,"Sir this is security detail Quasor. We have three terminus series ships that can be sent up.. but sir. Do we really need to do that. After all we can easily track them with.."
"It would not do to be so obvious Quator team. They expect a fight. We cannot disappoint them. Besides. I must see how the Eden responds to it's new pilot."
"...Understood Professor Decard. The recovery group will be dispatched."
Closing the signal the old man turned again in his chair. He knew it was a dangerous gamble. He had not received the answers he so wanted from the pilot Gray. Nor, had there been a chance to examine the inverse drives. Xellien's fortune was far more than it should have been. Sure that was not a coincidence.
Something would have to be done to retrieve these experiments. Their psychotic team had made a mockery of the Aghea Squad and proven unstoppable within the foundation. Decard wondered if it was a mistake. Kayako had not been like that before.
During her first stay with the foundation she had often fought against the members of the staff. The dead soldiers from her escape had only been the culmination of many outbursts.
Her temper was becoming a well known trait. Perhaps that was why Xellien had chosen her. The reports had said that the inverse drive fed on strong emotions. Gray and Kayako were the perfect subjects to test the drives on from that respect. However, they were also unpredictable.
"We must watch now." he said. "Watch and listen."

Else where a landing was being made. The escort ship had led the Rehk slowly into the area of Warusawa that was under Voderak control. While not heavily fortified like the UF the bunkers of the Voderak had stood the test of time. They were unseen from the air and unknown by all but the Hand themselves.
Decending the escort ship appeared to be flying straight into the edge of the forest. The huge trees made the area they would land at impossible to see. It wasn't until the Rehk was nearly down that the opening in the tree line was visible. A landing strip had been cleared out between four massive red woods. the blocked out the sky and but allowed a pale green light to filter through and show the crew a sight rarely seen.
The landing area was large. Several other ships were docked near the main terminal. There was no tower, however a heavy metallic cord had been run up to the tops of the surrounding trees. Radar tracking and a makeshift jamming signal were being transmitted from there.
As the escort neared the terminal it veered out of the Rehks way and moved into a tiny hanger. Three MAT's were standing at attention and waiting to unload the cargo.

(((Damn you...! And, if you edit mine, you have to edit Sho's too, it was HIS idea for the building to self-distruct, not MINE!!)))
They weren't answering....maybe they hadn't heard her. Kayako tried the comlink again, messing with the frequency until Rue's face could be seen clearly on screen in front of her. This time, he looked up at her voice.
"Rue...are you listening?? We need help over here! Those enemy ships are gonna come after you next!!"
Gunfire passed by within only a few yards of Senturi and Kayako's position. The clouds above them exploded in fire and gun smoke, covering the sky and the stars in a layer of falling black soot.
'Damn them...! Those stupid insects are mine!!!'
Senturi turned. Guns fired. More explosions of red and white shined through the ashes, lighting up the airspace over the foundation with formations of fire and metal, raining down on the grass below, covering the once-peacful scene.
A few moments later, Kayako appeared on Eden's screen again, looking a hundred times more serious then anyone had every seen her, though at the same time seeming to be enjoying herself completely. Her tone was low, and harsh.
"Rain, listen up! You need to find your weapons! I can probably handle these guys, but they'll probably send more in. I don't know what's up with Grey, but he's not being of much use. Your gonna have to defend youself!!"

On the ground the cannons of the mechs were still firing. While slow to aim they continued to fill the air with blast after blast. They moved slowly away from the hanger and out into the open singed grass of the foundations grounds.

(((Ok Tolly, get ready, Kayako's about to go psycho again...)))
"Hmph. What idiots...."
Kayako closed her eyes, and smiled a wicked smile that hadn't crossed her face for a long time now, not since the battle at the Rehk when she'd killed that other pilot. She bowed her head in the cockpit and laughed a little, finding the idiocy of their so-called 'enemy' the most amusing thing around.
"Morons......you make things too EASY!!!!!!"
Senturi whirled around in the air, jolting backwards as the twin panels opened and the hook-ended chains that has stayed dormant for so long shot out, aimed at the ground. A loud crashing sound of twisting metal rang through the air as they hit, embeding their sharp edges inside two of the enemy mechs, then a horrific slash of ripping and shreding as they expanded to their true size, ends bursting forth out of the steel cases of the units. Kayako laughed, taunting them as they struggled to get free of her trap.
"COME ON!!! FIGHT BACK!!!! You can do better than THAT can't you??!"
In a sudden jolt the chains retracted, sending the mechs flying into the air towards the owner of the embeded weapons. Out of nowhere, Senturi's shoulders opened, and it's guns revealed them selves, instantly locking on to the incoming objects.
Inside, Kayako smiled, opening the commlink in the entire airspace, including connecting to the enemy soldiers inside the mechs at her mercy and the monitering system at the Novak Foundation. The personnel manning the video surveilence room could only watch, as the transmission continued on, showing the entire scene clear as day. On the screen of the captured men, Kayako smiled her wicked smile one last time as the mechs flew forward.
"Too bad....looks like the soldiers here aren't much fun...now DISAPPEAR!!!!"
Shots rang out. A cloud of gunsmoke engulfed the sky around Senturi. Metal twisted, the dying screams of two men echoed through the system link, even reaching the foundation.
As the smoke cleared, the tangled steel bodies of the enemy mechs lay sprawled out on the ground, blood-colored oils coating the grass.
In her cockpit, Kayako bowed her head, panting.
"R-Rain...the last one's yours...."

((Oh, boy. razz ))
The whole time Rain watched Kayako go Rambo on the enemies, she was shaking in her chair. Her fearful eyes followed Senturi as it destroyed everything in its path. Hearing Kayako tell her she had to fight as well didn't help her anxiety.
She frantically looked around for anything that would seem weapon-like. "Why can't they label anything?!" she yelled in frustration. Her eyes fell upon a switch on the "dashboard" she had not noticed before. Her finger went to it and flipped it up.
((I'ma gonna give her some cannon thingies, just 'cause. No too much, just like... two on each side or something...))

The bloody oils of the mecha on the ground began to burn. With it the wet grass turned black and a dark smoke rose from the carnage. It drifted across the air.
The last mon-suno charged. Heading for Eden is let loose a volley of missles and aimed it's gun at the new craft.

Rain forgot that she flipped the switch, so she didn't notice two compartments open up in the side of the seat. She put her hands on the contols and moved them. It was pretty strange to her because she only used them once and already she had gotten better. Adrenaline can do strange things to people.
She moved the joystick back and slid the left-handle back as well, making Eden move in a backwards-down way. She moved the joystick to the upperright and slid the handle up, making Eden go up in a diagonal.
Once she avoided that onslaught, she looked down and breathed. Opening her eyes, she spotted the two compartments. In each was a white glove. Picking them up, she slid them on. Little spots were on the ends of the fingers and on every joint. A wire led from the inside and back into the compartments where they disappeared. She moved her arms around and was surprised to see Eden's arms move the same way.

Rue's comm was bursting with white noise and static. He tried to sync his comm with the incoming signal of the unknown LFO, but they models were too different without a direct link he would never be able to connect with them. "Nic, this is Rue. I'm going in there, they seem dangerous, but I wont engage. Watch my back, but don't attack. I want to see if i can get some kind of communication with the one that just destroied the UF" The Knight burst forward, hitting a jetstream of trappar from the explosions that pushed it away. The white knight made good time getting closer, but with such violent fighting technique, Rue wasn't about to endanger the White Knight.

((*sigh* Thanks for posting, Rue. Now I can kill that little SonuvaKLF razz ))
Rain was watching the arms of the Eden move in sinc with her movements. Then she felt some strange force control her arms. She had no idea what was going on and it kind of freaked her out. The force moved her left arm behind her head and close her fingers around something.
She felt her fingers grip something. Then the force made her pull her hand back. With them came some strange contraption that looked like a guitar neck. Just a guitar neck. There wasn't a body because it was apart of the neck. She looked it over, studying every part of it. Looking up, she noticed the same sort of device, yet a bit more different looking, of a larger scale being held by Eden. She put her fingers on the frets to make a chord and strummed. A loud boom vibrated out of Eden's guitar and flew out. The mon-suno that was after just happened to be in the wave's path. When it was hit, it blew apart.
((Ok. The mon-suno's gone. Let's blow this popsicle stand. cool ))
