"I'm on the job." Anysi replied, looking over at him, waiting to see what his response would be. Of course she would never admit that she was failing at her job at the moment, considering she was supposed to be recuiting people into darkness instead of befriending them. Zhuke just seemed to be making things so complicated for her, and she she honestly didn't mind. Why she wasn't quite sure, though the fact she actually somewhat considering him a friend made her a bit worried.

"A job huh?" he replied, wondering what job it was. It could've been the typical assassin's job, and that made him feel some-what uneasy. Then after awhile, he thought to himself why he was here in Koi High. His mood dropped, but his expression stayed the same.

"Mhmm...' Anysi said with a smirk. She continued to keep that expression for a while before finally laughing aloud. "Oh don't worry. I'm not allowed to kill anyone. I'm simply here to get information and recruit."
Her face then lit up as she smiled brightly, a rare thing for her to do. "So what are you here for, Zhukie? Making friends./ Finding love? To trust people?" She teased, her smile still across her lips.

"Ah, I see." he said, feeling a bit more relieved.
"Escape." he answered simply. "Escape from the Mercenary League. They want the head of the Rank Four Mercenary. It comes with a nice little prize too in return. Interested?" he asked in a joking manner.

"I would be if I was allowed to hurt people." Anysi pointed out, returning the joking manner he himself had used. "Of course I don't think I really could bring myself to hurt you... I don't like to cause people pain if I know they don't deserve it. Hmph, call me a pansy if you want but... yea." She confessed, mad at herself for doing so afterwards. She couldn't believe herself. She had just told him exactly what he had wanted. She was making herself more and more trustable by the moment. Even so, she knew she really did want Zhuke's friendship, so it didn't really matter.

Zhuke didn't hesitate.
"Hah, you pansy!" he said, laughing. At that moment, he gave her a one-armed hug. "I deserve a lot more pain than you can imagine." He pulled her closer to him his so he wouldn't have to raise his voice. "I told you, you're not a bad person at all. Makes me wonder how you were in your childhood..." he noted, imagining a girl running around with a war axe.

"I was a good kid thank you very much." Anysi defended, smiling as she did so, looking towards him for a moment.
Upon looking away she then replied to the other things that he had said. "You don't deserve the pain I do though. You made the decision to stop, I didn't..." She said softly, her sarcastic bitter attitude nowhere near present.

He let the one-armed hug go and spun his chair around so he faced her. "People make mistakes all the time, and they should never be held onto. Just let it go, I'm sure it's nothing to hold onto. If you want, I'll tell you how my childhood was." he offered, trying to brighten the mood.

How can he be so kind...? Anysi thought to herself a bit confused as he offered to open up to her. He just didn't make sense to her at all, but he cared and that's all that mattered. "You can tell me if you want..." She finally said, after looking into his eyes for a moment, trying to detect whether or not there was any sort of lie in what he had said.

He smiled lightly while looking into her eyes.
"Alright, I lived in lightly forested area near a creek. I never had any friends since I was always isolated from civilization. Still, it was one of the best moments of my life with my parents. We went fishing, hiking up mountains, went hunting with my father, went on quiet, cold night walks... it was so peaceful." he said, smiling when remembering his parent's faces.

Slowly, the smile on Anysi's lips faded as she began to think of her own childhood. Her parents had been the same way. She had loved them so much, and they loved her in return. Not only that, but she had many friends, everybody loved her. But then... she got taken away. No more happiness, no more friends. That's what she had decided.
"What happened?" She asked him, looking back into his eyes, yearning to know his answers.

Zhuke bit his lip at the thought.
"One day, on a beautiful snowy night...they were murdered." he answered. "Mercenaries targetted my father for something he had done, but I was too young to know. All I know is they killed in cold blood." he continued, holding onto the pendent around his neck that was concealed perfectly under his shirt. "But one of the mercenaries took me in, having somewhat of a heart. I promised myself that once they taught me all I need to know about killing, I'd prove to them my abilities by killing them myself." he said coldly.
"But... I didn't. They had saved my life countless times in battle when I was at the age of 14. I had too much to owe them for, and I hated it because I couldn't avenge my parents. It was a confusing world, so I left it and started a new life, starting with here in this school." he finished, getting his tone back.

"It's like the Alliance..." Anysi added, drifting off into her thoughts as she did so. "They've hurt me so much... they've caused me so much pain, and yet I still serve them. I guess it's just because they've sheltered me and taught me... I now know no other home. If I left the Alliance I have nowhere to go and no one to run too. I'm just alone-..." Her words faltered as she finished, the sadness becoming unbearable. She forced herself to not allow the tears that were in her eyes to cascade down her face. She didn't want to seem weak, but all she wanted to do was cry. She never cried, Never. If she ever did at the Alliance people would look down on her, but with Zhuke...
What was happening to her?
