" I will Help." He said as he went over to Tomoe " don't worry we will find them, there are a lot of us here to help." he said reassuringly. "Now tell me do you have you established a meetup place with the children? just in case something like this happened?." he asked curiously as he pondered the things his friends and fellow field trip mates had been through, nothing would come from them both being frantic so he tried to be calm for both of them. while azure pondered how they could find the kids. he looked too Tomoe and smiled" Tell us anything that might help us find them" he said in hopes to help calm him down. before looking over to patches " Shall we search together? I'm sure if we go in pairs or groups it may help"

Staying: "Well, you know," he whispered, "if people are being kept out, then it might be for safety reasons."
At the sight of the new figure, at first he was skittish, but...something about them put him at ease.
They seemed friendly, at least.
"We'll help," he said.

Tomoe almost jumped when Bebe threw herself towards him, tails flicking up in surprise as he gave a wavering smile. What luck he had to find so many willing people! With this many eager hearts, surely they would accomplish the task before matters escalated!
As Nashira spoke Tomoe raised his head to view her, hands folding together while his head shook, a grateful laugh escaping him. "I assure you there aren't any monsters within this forest. The trees do cause tripping hazards, and some spiral into elaborate mazes, but... I do not foresee anyone getting hurt." It wasn't shortly after responding to Nashira that another question was tossed at him, causing a sharp inhale of nervous breath as he calmed his fluttering heart. They wouldn't hurt him. He needed to remember that.
Turning to address Coralie, Tomoe faintly shook his head. "I lost them a bit back. I've seen glimpses of them earlier today, probably to frighten me, but I stopped seeing them by the time the sun began to set." Each word reminded him he was a terrible babysitter, but it wasn't like he had asked to babysit, either!
At Lilith's question a flicker of concern touched his face, eyes drifting towards the darkness around them. He hesitated in responding, about to attempt to wrangle free something when, instead, Zahneel touched him. He hadn't miss her touching the one called Neptune, either, automatically assuming the two were friends. That worked. He quite liked the boy, he was sure he'd like Zahneel, too. His tails flicked, again, and the strange man looked down at the smaller teenager, one ear twitching ever so faintly. So forward, did these people come from a place where touching was so free? Tomoe didn't seem offended, even smiling in response. His nerves fluttered away, however, at the last question, hand digging into his clothes to a hidden pocket to pull out a pink and blue heart hair clip.
"Naoki enjoys this clip." He admitted, gesturing for Zahneel to take it if she so wished.
Then, someone asked the question he dreaded. Patches spoke up, causing Tomoe to flick his head to see her and, without thought, pull his ears down. The barrier wasn't something he wanted to address, and somehow he hoped the confusion would have made them forget. "It does work both ways." He admitted, grateful when Niamh spoke up. His eyes took to her wings, widening slightly before nodding encouragingly.
"That would be of great help, thank you!"
NOTE: The strings have been cut, I was just a dumb and forgot to mention that. You can say Claire forgot some people during the confusion, but they just finished freeing everyone.
The next part of the Meta will be tonight. Keep an eye out for that!

Aurora nodded and said "I know, but if we don't help Tomoe, who will?? And good or bad, they are still young kids, and shouldn't be wandering the woods alone, what if one of the juniors from our group wandered off and got lost??" Aurora asked softly "I'm going to go search for them with Bridgette and her friend." Aurora said since she hadn't caught Tambre's name yet.

Staying: Xerxes blinked at the nixie’s reaction and shook his head. “It’s alright. I’m fine. Just surprised me a little. I didn’t expect to be touched, is all.” He gave a small sigh as he turned his attention away from her and looked around them. “I’m not mad,” he said, absently, as he looked around for Niamh, wondering if she had made it through yet. Xer turned back to his new partner and opened his mouth, about to ask if she’d mind if they found the person he’d been traveling with before — he’d even help her find the people she’d been with as well, if she wanted. However, he snapped his mouth shut, interrupted by the voice of someone not within the group, but getting closer. Frowning, he watched and listened as the stranger begged their group for help in finding a couple of lost children. Crossing his arms over his chest, Xer wondered what it’d involve and how dangerous it might be for the group of them. They didn’t know this forest or what lurked beyond the point they were already at. While he didn’t like the idea of children being lost — they had to be scared — he also wasn’t completely sure that the stranger could be trusted. What if they were lying? Xer didn’t want to go in blindly, so he listened closely to each answer the stranger gave to each question asked of him. He couldn’t keep his own, nagging worry to himself, however, and the question that had been poking the back of his mind finally came out. “How do we know we can trust you?” He tilted his head to the side, eyes looking up and down the odd stranger. “What are you? Yushika I'm sorry if Xer seems short. It's just how he is. And he's a little wary on trusting a complete stranger in a strange forest that's supposed to be dangerous. I'm also sorry if either of the questions he asked have been asked already. I tried reading through all the responses but I may have missed something.

Xerxes reaction hadn't surprised him, honestly, though he did flinch at the question of what he was. He bit back the response of 'that's a rude question', mostly because he felt guilty the second he thought it. Of course they'd ask that! He was a stranger! A stranger in the forest -- a dark one at that -- asking for help. His ears flopped down, body recoiling into itself as he tried to think of a convincing way to say he wasn't dangerous. Yet, he couldn't find something to say! He'd be scared, too, in their shoes! "I'm sorry, I don't know how to convince you." He responded, finally, hands folding back together out of habit. "And I can't tell you what I am, either. I know that isn't helpful.... I... I know. It isn't by choice." He paused, staring at the ground with a tight frown. Frustration piled, briefly. Words couldn't explain why he wasn't dangerous, because he would have been scared, too. He couldn't lie about that. He probably would have left, even.
"Honestly, I wouldn't trust me, either, so I get why you'd be cautious. I understand how this looks, I'm sorry. If you want, or need, I can offer to be tied up, if it relieves any fear? I don't know what else to offer, but I wouldn't mind trying."

Xerxes sighed and shook his head. “I can’t ask you to do that. I may not trust you completely but I’m not gonna ask you to be tied up.” He let his arms fall to his sides, one of his hands resting lightly on his hip as he shifted his weight to mostly one foot. It was a shame the stranger wouldn’t tell them what he was. Xer was sure he’d never seen another being like that — nightmare or daydream. He could only assume he was a daydream, since they were in a forest in Above. Beyond that, though, Xer wasn’t exactly sure what he was. He finally gave a small shrug. “I’ll join in helping you look for the children. I can only hope I’m not making the wrong choice by doing so.”

"Naoki," Zahneel repeated before taking the clip and raising it closer to her face and sniffing intently. She wanted name and scent alike to be branded into her brain. It was a fairly interesting scent and she was reasonably confident in her ability to follow it.
With a smile, she handed it to Neptune before turning her attention back to Tomoe.
"Could you show me the last place you saw them, sir? It'll help me track and maybe find them faster if there's a starting point. I might be able to find the other kid's scent too."
It wasn't much to go on, but it was better than nothing. And for the sake of poor Tomoe's nerves, she hoped that neither child was hurt.

Neptune watched Zahneel take the clip and sniff it, then did the same when she offered it to him. On one hand it felt strange doing such a thing, but on the other... It really was the best way to lock onto a specific scent. They'd already done something like this in the past with The Scary Woman. He shuddered to think of it... how did he keep ending up in these situations anyway? Maybe he should ask Maria how she managed to stay out of them.
The small hybrid kid asking - point blank - what Tomoe was caused him to come out of his train of thought, eyes turning to Tomoe as he waited for him to answer... Ah, so he couldn't... did... that mean he wasn't a Grimm after all? He pursed his lips in silent thought, considering it... He did kind of look like a cross between a Bakeneko and a Grimm... just with two separate tails instead of one split into two.... And there were Above Fallen and Below Fallen - so what if...?
No, that was dumb. He shook his head a little to clear his mind of the thought. "I-It's okay T-T-Tomoe... um... Y-You don't smell sus--suspicious to me-- uh... just.... different." He nodded, as if that were supposed to be reassuring or something. "D-d-do you have anything of uh... M-Meimu's...?

Staying:
Amili stumbled into scene, clearly in pain and slower than she normally would have been due to her injuries. The Imp quirked a brow at the sight of Tomoe, but then frowned at the mention of lost children. Oh, no! That didn't sound good. Who knew what could happen to the two kids in the forest? There was bound to be hazards of all kinds, and she did not want them to be alone for long.
"I'll stay and help," she said to Tomoe and the others who had decided to help look for the kids. "Can you tell us what the children look like, by chance, or where they might have wandered off to? If there is any place in particular?" She doubt there was, but it was a subject worth mentioning. If there was a particular landmark in the forest, maybe they would have went there? Who knew?

As Ghester's ears perked up, catching the oh so sweet sound of a familiar voice, he turned tail and quickly made his way to it. "Thank gods..." he said as he panted softly, trying to catch his breath. "What the hell is going on?... And who is that?" the grimm asked curiously when he noticed the other junior... attached to Bibiana... by rope? "Whoa. Beebs. I didn't think you were into that kinda thing." Ghester remarked with a smirk.
Nodding to the other, he introduced himself. "Hey. I'm Ghester. Thanks for keepin' an eye on Bibi for me." Though the guy couldn't help the slight twinge of jealousy he felt.
"So what is going on? I feel like I'm lost in the fog... errr... more than we have been."musicaloner7 not intruding! gaius is more than welcome to stick around!

“Pleasure to meet you Ms. Patches, I’m Samhain” Ah well maybe he hadn’t done quite the best job pretending to be Samhain but eh it was water under the bridge. Besides Patches wouldn’t know any inconsistencies having just met him and luckily Bebe and Tomoe shifted whatever attention might have been on the fact he was acting slightly different. “Ah Bebe he looks overwhelmed a bit, maybe go-” Salem trailed off as the pink Nekomatta had already bounded over to talk/reassure the multi tailed Daydream. He almost wanted to ask if the daydream was hallowed but come to think of it he had yet to see a hallowed daydream, even though they had to exist. However the more Tomoe talked the more he had a feeling this was almost like the nixie/Grimm incident a few months back. “However she’s right we are becoming quite the experts on finding people, and you’ve given us a lot of good info to start with. However sitting around isn’t going to find them, breaking off into groups would probably be the best option, that way if we accidentally get lost we aren’t alone… and they’re right. We won’t tie you up. You’re asking for our help, risked a great deal to get that help and you’re already extreme nervous about it. It’s also not like we couldn’t stop you if you were somehow a danger.”

Niamh was listening to everyone again, thinking about how to go about this. When Xerxes spoke up, she looked up, pleased and happy to see he'd made it through! She listened to his words, and felt surprise, because it never even OCCURRED to her that this could be some sort of trick. She frowned a little, considering this. Was she too gullible, that it wasn't something she had even thought of? Finally she decided that she would leave that to one side to consider later. There were lost children to worry about. She moved over to Xerxes' side and rested a hand on his shoulder to let him know she was there, for just a moment. "Want to work together, Xerxes?" She asked, quietly.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to her, and she turned back to the foxlike man, and said "You said the barrier is open to the children too. Should maybe some groups with winged people do border reviews, with flyers keeping an eye out for kids making their way away from the woods?"

Tomoe had grown tense, tails curled around their hips as they watched the crowd. Zahneel's request to bring her towards the last place he had seen the kids was heard, mouth opening to give an answer when Claire abruptly moved to the front of the group.
"Before we do that, let me make sure everyone is prepared to go further into the forest. I don't want anyone to get injured during this, and we've never.... been here before." Claire, who had remained quiet as they watched the scene unfold, began digging through their bag, setting out water bottles and snacks for those who needed them. As they rummaged, Tomoe turned to Neptune, turning visible pale at the question if he had anything of Meimu's.
"I-I don't.... thankfully...." Their voice dropped at the end, a look of pure dread crossing their face as they looked towards the darkness again. They were grateful when others piqued up, especially Samhain, their eyes drawn to their tails briefly before flicking to maintain eye contact.
"I-If you're going in groups... please bring light with you. The forest gets rather dark at night... I don't want anyone to get hurt." When Niamh spoke up they went quiet, clearly unsure how to answer. Their eyes were drawn to her wings again, uncertainty crossing his features. Luckily, Claire picked up on the expression, leaping free from their bag and stepping closer to the timid man.
"That's an excellent idea, Niamh!" They cheered, giving Niamh a thumbs up before nodding towards Tomoe. "Everyone, make sure you still have your flashlights, okay? We're going to break into groups and look around the forest for the kids. I'm going to set this lantern, right here..." They paused, approaching they bag and pulling out a small, red crystal lantern. Tapping it, they sighed in relief as the lantern glowed a bright green, setting the lantern on the ground. "This is a rescue lantern that we bring on our hiking excursions. You can see it in the darkest of locations. If you get lost, look for this glow and come back here."
With that, Claire turned towards Tomoe, pulling them gently aside to begin a quiet and curious conversation. No doubt they were trying to get more details about this new and foreign forest! It might be best to start exploring, now.
As the group begins to disperse or figure out their tactic, Tomoe abruptly turns around, nervously waving their hands for attention.
"Hello! W-wait! Please don't use water magic on the kids. It's... it's not good for us! I'll be here if anyone needs help... or more information. I need to fix the barrier before..." They trailed off softly, glad when Claire gave an encouraging thumbs up in response.
"Don't worry, friend. We'll get those kids in no time!"
This part of the meta is a few days long (depending on how long you guys take). In the RP forum, make an RP. Label the first part of the RP as [META] and place your character's name somewhere in the title. In this RP, you can either play solo or have other RPers join you. Only those in the meta should be inside this particular RP. In your first post (and the first post of anyone playing with you), RNG 1-50. Each player may roll as many times until someone reaches the correct numbers (found below), but you must add RP into the roll or it will NOT count. This RPs can count for RP points if the necessary requirements are fulfilled.
If you get a 1, 20, 30, 40, or 50, Nightmare Ava will post in your RP with a child running by. If this occurs, post here and use the correct form to log the event. Each child has a certain amount of hp, and each encounter with the child knocks their HP down by one. When the child reaches 0, you will see an event post in this thread where the child is brought to Tomoe.
Injured characters, however, have a disadvantage. If your character was injured during the hike, your character needs to personally roll a 20 or 40 to count as a successful encounter, as they cannot help search as well as the others. If the others roll the correct numbers, however, it still counts as a success for the injured participant. We will be checking rolls.
Injured List: Baneful Delicate Rose Bud Kivras KitsuneAura Midnightglow18 Lural mewmew kittykat 94 Mriae musicaloner7 Obnoxious Obscurity Toshihiko Two Dark Vertigo itsie bitsie spider Missy-kun
(( Note: If your name does NOT belong on this list, PM Yushika. Those who missed an RNG event of the hiking portion were automatically injured. ))
Once the children reach 0, this part of the event is over. We will not continue until the kids reach 0.
Only those playing in the meta can post in meta RPs. Even if multiple people in one RP gets the correct numbers, it will only count as one encounter per RP. Characters may not be in more then one meta RP at a time. The RP is considered over when an encounter happens (the title will be edited to show the RP was successful), or if your character RPs them leaving the group and it clearly is noted at the top of your post. This means, if you want a character to join a new group or make a new RP for a solo encounter then you need to post your character leaving or wait until an encounter is done. All encounters must be logged here or they will not be counted. The children's HP will be listed there, too. Any prizes dropped are for everyone in that particular RP. You may NOT physically touch the child or hurt them. Setting up harmless traps are okay. We have a list of those who were injured, so do not try and cheat. Deleting posts will cause you to be disqualified.

After escaping Nashira, Meimu wasted no time in running back toward safety. There had to be at least 20 strangers in their forest - and this was well past the barrier! Something was not right and the Elders needed to know about it immediately. On the way back toward the village, he darted past the area Tomoe had first found the group - though he didn't bother stopping. Either those people had captured Tomoe, or he had betrayed them by associating with the trespassers.
The small freshling made it back to the village in no time, he was very used to navigating the underbrush with (or without) supervision, after all. Once there, he made straight for the Elder's house and scurried inside...
Naoki, on the other hand, had seemed too tired to follow along with Meimu. That, or he generally just didn't care. He trotted up from the darkness and to Tomoe, tiredly giving him a look before flopping on the ground, ears back.
"That wasn't fun." He pouted, arms crossing in frustration. "And you cheated. You didn't even spot us once!" The tiny child frowned, head raising to look about. Wait a minute... where was Meimu?
Tomoe, on the other hand, had grown violently pale. His hands trembled as he stared towards the darkness as if his soul had been sucked out. Meimu had ran by. Towards there. Where they were. He was done for. He was done for. This was it. This was the end!
"It's over!" He stammered, ignoring as Claire blew their whistle to call back the groups. Claire blinked, head cocking to the side as they turned back to view the stranger.
"We got the kids, though?" Tomoe whirled to view Claire, eyes immediately growing wet, head shaking violently as they withdrew into themselves.
"I'm done for! M-Meimu is going to tell the Elders. I'm g-going to be b-banished. This i-is the end! I-I-" Tomoe broke off, falling to the ground harshly. They stayed there, trembling violently as they awaited.... something. Claire crouched beside him, whispering soft words of comfort, yet the stranger did not get up.
Well.... what now?
This part serves as an intermission. While the group collects again around the entrance to this strange place we will begin working on the next part of the meta. This can take up to a few hours, or a few days, so enjoy the break!
Tomoe is currently broken down and will be hard to talk to. Claire will begin helping patch up any of those injured during the search for the children, and Naoki will happily talk to anyone who approaches him! Meimu, however, is gone. Mentioning their name will cause Tomoe to wail, so be careful!
Food is being given out as well, as Claire isn't sure what to do next. They truly want to help the distressed Tomoe. In the meantime, everyone will be given a small bag of trail mix, water, and various fruits.
