Bashing its face away was a travesty, but It Had To Be Done. God help him, he felt bad for this poor thing. Couldn't they just take it back and like tame it or something?
Syn wasn't a fan of any other lion in his life, however, even if it did look great.

Maebe had no such endearment towards the bull lion in any form. This was obvious by the way she jumped onto his shield and used it like a vault, throwing herself up into the lion-bull's face and dragging her embedded trident all the way back down. The scar she left on it's face was cold, lifeless, but no less crippling. Half of it's face crumbled off, leaving it near destruction before her feet could once more hit the ground.

In awe, he barely remembered how he took out the lionbull. It wasn't anything close to the spectacular move Maebe showed, that was for sure.
"Yer so cool," he stage whispered like a fan boy. "Just wanted t'letcha know. I-If ya didn' already. Hot damn."

She was still gasping for breath when he knocked the bull-lion's last piece down, and turned to shower her with quiet praise. Her heavy breathing stilled, and her lips turned up in a tight smirk, but her face flushed a healthy color right across her cheeks. "I know." She told him, reaching out to take her hand. "But I'm going to tell you a secret. I've never fought this hard before. It makes people think I'm competent. I'm only doing this for you." She tugged the arm down, and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, before whispering against it. "Don't tell anybody." The last thing she needed was a reputation for being a good fighter. People would start taking her places and giving her actual work.She tugged him all the way to the lake, still flushed with pride and excitement. The vines tried to beat it all out of her, but their initial attempt failed, and she was over the lake within minutes. Stamina: 14

He blushed fiercely with the combo of kiss and confession and tugged at is hat with a burble of noise. "N-Not a word," he promised as she led him on. "M'honored."
Eventually Dawson had to let her go on ahead as the mud caught his boots again. Didn't even matter. Maebe Grace Bertrand was putting up a fight for him, and that was a big step up from the girl he had to pick up after.

"Sun is like, the hardest working division. They're all the buff guys who work out too much and - " A bull charged forward, grasping her between it's horns and carrying her off. It took her a few seconds of shock to react, pulling herself up using the horns and running down it's body before rolling off of it. She had to move quickly to hide before it could turn to find her, and then bolt to catch up to Dawson once she'd lost it. " - get sent in first." She huffed out, finishing her sentence. "I like being last in line." Twin metal birds stared her down, judging her for her choices. She pulled her eyes away from their stare, and focused on the tears the bull horns had made on her shorts. "Maybe that's why I'm still in Moon. It's easier."

In the time Maebe was chased by a bull, the Cerberus found its favorite roly poly to chase and n** at. Dawson was barely able to stand by the time he lost it and lifted his cap to fan himself. "I...dunno 'bout...easier," he painted, resting his hands in his knees. "Still gotta...watch someone n' yerself...real dangerous..." He puffed out a breath and forced himself to stand up.
"But!" Dawson continued with forced energy, smiling through his exhaustion. "Yer good at it. When ya wanna be."

The only thing there in reach was a nice looking collar. It........looked more like Maebe's style than his. He was a little afraid to find out what it did and backed off, flipping off the metal birds as they went to cool off.

That collar sounded amazing. She listened, enraptured, as he tried to describe it. "Did it look like something I could wear on a normal basis? Like, would it go with a nice slinky - lion."

"Better yet, maybe we could put the collar on one of these guys, and take it home as a pet. So it would stop ******** with us." She lunged for the lion, chipping away at it neatly with the trident prongs.

She went quiet, her efforts to defeat the lion whittling down to constant, brutal chipping in random places.
She never stayed still, but that was partly because the lion kept finding her and smacking her away. It was working.. sort of.
