Shadow just sighed as they followed the megalomaniacal rabbit. "I think I've had enough interesting to last a dozen lifetimes... where's the part where we get bored?"
Soon they reached a room that was completely bare except for three things. The first was a single image in the back of the room: a Dianamon, Ghoulmon, TigerVespamon, HiAndrowomon, Alphamon Ouryuken, Chaosmon, Kentaurosmon, and Apollomon, as well as two digimon leading the group: a large dragon that just screamed "darkness and death" and a strange winged knight of some sort.
The second and third decorations of the room were the twin pedestals smack-dab in the middle of the place, upon which were Christa's crests.

Sparky grinned. "What can I say? When Sparky promises some tech, Sparky delivers some damn good tech!" Then he blinked, instinctively catching the Crest of Love thrown his way by Butterflymon. "Huh...?"
"We're under siege by what looks like an entire hostile hive; I think we can bend the rules just this once," Butterflymon told them dryly.
Sparky blinked, then shrugged, not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. "All right then, let's kick some a**!" he declared with a grin.
"You got it, my man! FanBeemon, digivolve to... WASPMON! Waspmon, digivolve to... CANNONBEEMON!"
...Needless to say, the appearance of what appeared to be a ridiculously massive, heavily armed tank of a bee made ally and enemy alike stop and gawk (the only exception being the whatever-it-was Sparky made, which was still wreaking havoc).

"I'm allergic to wasps, not bees," Sparky corrected. "It's just his Champion form I'm scared shitless of..."
CannonBeemon, meanwhile, was gloating over his new Ultimate form. "Oh yeah, I'm a badass! Sky Rocket Infinity!" Cue the rain of missiles on the many poor saps that dared to fight the giant bee.
"...Though after this, I might get a bit of a phobia for enormous bees with rocket launchers strapped to their backs," Sparky finished nervously, hiding a little behind Evelyn.

"Well, we can go after Mr. Soldier's crest, or we can go after one of the other two crests," was Lapinmon's cheerful reply.
Shadow, meanwhile, was regarding the picture of the large dragon-thing on the wall, trying to figure out why it seemed so familiar; curious, he reached out to touch the symbol on the thing's chest...
Leo blinked as he heard something shift, and turned just in time to see Shadow in front of the now-opened wall, which revealed an entrance to another room.

"Yes ma'am," Sparky agreed meekly, watching the carnage warily.
Soon all that was left was the TyrantKabuterimon, and from the look of things, it wasn't going to be easy to take down. "Okay, here's the plan - Apollomon, you distract him while I charge up. Then I give him a Nitro Stinger to the face, and then we all finish up here and get laid. Sound good?" CannonBeemon suggested.

Shadow drooped. "Sounds good," he mumbled, mourning the current lack of boredom as he followed her into another near-featureless room; this time, however, there was only one pedestal, upon which rested a strange pitch-black elliptical pendant. Shadow picked it up, gave it a good look, and then turned to the Digimon. "Okay, what the heck is this thing?"
"You don't need to know right now - all you need to know is that it's yours and that it's sleeping," Lapinmon interjected helpfully.

Shadow nodded meekly. "Okay." He glanced over at Lapinmon. "Any idea when it'll 'wake up', as you put it?"
"Well, if all goes well, hopefully never, but it'll be helpful if we ever end up with the worst-case scenario," the little rabbit-thing answered cheerfully. "Other than that, you probably don't want to know the exact details."
Shadow gave the little guy a weird look. "How is it that you manage to be pseudo-omniscient? I mean, you're not even a week old..."
"...It is most DEFINITELY due to me looking stuff up on the Internet. No mysterious ability to extract information from the dreams of humans and Digimon alike involved, nope, not at all! NONE, I SAY!" Lapinmon glanced around shiftily.
BlackGuilmon sweatdropped before turning to Lunamon. "I'm thinking we should put our son here on meds or something; maybe then he'll be at somewhat normal, or at least tone down the crazy..."

Even Sparky had to crack a grin, though he was still hiding behind Evelyn - he was mostly over his fear of CannonBeemon, but some of the invading insect Digimon looked suspiciously wasplike...
"...Shut up, a guy can dream..." CannonBeemon grumbled even as he started charging up. Of course, it was at that point that TyrantKabuterimon started attacking, aiming for Apollomon since he saw the Mega as the bigger threat.

"We went over this - you saying stuff like that within earshot of me is not good for my emotional well-being," Lapinmon chided his parents, crossing his ears as if they were arms.
Leo sighed. "Insane rabbit aside, we should go ahead and get the next crest." Checking his Digivice, he frowned slightly. "Odd... there's only one crest on the map - the Crest of Light and that Crest of Dreams Lapinmon mentioned aren't anywhere on here... on top of that, it looks to me like the Crest of Reliability is on the move..."
"Oh, that's easily explained." When everyone turned to him expectantly, Lapinmon added, "I'm not explaining it, though - where's the fun in that?"

"Hold him off a little longer!" CannonBeemon told the fiery Digimon in reply even as TyrantKabuterimon shot a Bee Cyclone at Apollomon, trapping the guy in a twister made of insects.

"Hey, take it easy on Dad, it's not his fault I want to rule the world," Lapinmon told his mother. "Now, let's go after Mr. Soldier's crest."

"Hey, that was uncalled for, I'm charging up as fast as I can here!" After another moment, his stinger was charged up, and he aimed it at TyrantKabuterimon with a grin just as Apollomon got out of the insect mini-tornado. "Sayonara, suckah! NITRO STINGER!" With that, a powerful laser vaporized a fair portion of TyrantKabuterimon's head... and part of the arena... and a couple of the trees around the place... and part of one building's roof that had the misfortune of being in CannonBeemon's line of fire... you get the idea.

(Sure; any particular plot you had in mind, or just another go at the same plot?)

BlackGuilmon immediately started drooling at that particular idea, obviously enjoying that particular line of thought.
"GAH! THE MENTAL IMAGE, IT BURNS!" Lapinmon shouted, covering his eyes with his ears and plugging his ears with his fingers.
Shadow just shook his head in exasperation at the antics of the Digimon and started heading out of the ruins, intending to head after the next Crest.

"Yep," Jimmy squeaked, trying not to s**t himself at the idea of the perverted bee having that much firepower.
It was at that point that the golden blur from earlier stopped in front of the two humans, revealing itself to be a golden beetle Digimon, about half the size of a human (not counting the horn). "Targets neutralized. Do you have any other tasks for me, Creator?" it asked Jimmy calmly.
Fortunately, that seemed to snap Sparky out of it, and he shook his head to clear it. "Uh, no, Scarabimon, not at the moment."

"Oh, I knew, I just didn't want to think about it. On that note, I'm gonna see if I can give myself a limited form of amnesia in order to forget this conversation." With that, Lapinmon turned to the nearest wall and started bangin his head against it, at least until BlackGuilmon picked him up to stop him.
"What I'm having trouble with is the image of tall, dark, and morally screwed-up over there as a father," was Leo's dry reply... only for his crutch to suddenly and conveniently get knocked out from under him, causing the soldier to land on his a** with a wince. "Okay, I probably had that one coming."
