Noticing Ieyasu's glance behind her, Rahujo turned to find Alyosha right behind her. She stepped back in surprise, and grinned widely at the pale-skinned administrator.

"Good evening, Alyosha. Have you not been letting your poor guardians know what they'd be in for when their cute little gryphons grew up?"

"Indeed. This brave youkai is about to try to drink me under the table," Syrenrei pronounced a bit loudly so that Rahujo, who was shying away a little, would hear her. She was being a bit cocky to compensate for the fear she had she would get drunk and grope someone.

"If you like you can join us and try to prove your worth." She grinned at Alyosha and stood to stretch as if she were preparing herself for a marathon instead of a simple drinking contest.

Stepping back outside again, Ieyasu was carrying two bottles, one in each hand. The bottle of whisky wasn't quite full - there had obviously been a little drunk out of it. The vodka on the other hand was a new bottle, unopened and untouched.

"Right, since there's more people now, I've brought two. Take your pick, hanyou." He grinned insolently at her. He had heard her rather loud proclamation as he was coming back with the bottles She wanted a challenge? Bring it on!

Alyosha looked back at Rahujo. "I'm sure I did provide some idea, indeed you know your face is on the leaflets we hand out on the mainland.. I did ask you before we did that"

He turned back to Sy, hearing the alchohol based bravado in her speech. "Mmm I don't care much for brandy" His eyes swivelled to Nyxa who seemed to be getting drunk from the fumes nevermind the actual drink.

"Sure, if you like." Setting down the vodka bottle, Ieyasu broke open the whisky before taking Syrenrei's cup. He'd have to measure the shot by eye. Tilting the bottle, he poured what he thought to be about the right amount into the black cup before handing it back to the hanyou.

He then took his own cup, pouring the same amount into it. Looking up, he gazed over the group. "Anyone else for whisky or vodka?" Still holding the whisky bottle, he stood there, waiting for answers from the rest of the gathering.

Rahujo chuckled at Alyosha's reply. Ieyasu had certainly been baffled enough by her appearance - perhaps he hadn't read the new version of the leaflet, or had drastically misestimated the scale of the adult Aerandir.

As Ieyasu poured drinks, she sat down on the edge of the porch, placing her bundle down in front of her, and looked on curiously. When she had been younger and the Centre had been primarily an archaeologist hangout, she'd seen - and smelt - similar drinks, but had never been permitted to touch them...

She didn't need to wait until everyone got their drinks... the faster she downed them, the better! If she wasted her time she'd lose her nerve, and she couldn't do that in front of this fine pure-bred youkai. Ha! She'd show him. Closing her eyes she downed the whiskey and let out a long sigh of contentment.

She was starting to feel happy. 4laugh Wheee! This stuff was much stronger than the brandy she had brought... she could taste the alcohol in it... or maybe it was just her swimming mind that thought so.

"Ha! I'll take another if you can handle that one, fox-spirit!" She grinned at Alyosha with a strange, sideways smile.

Wrapping her arm around Alyosha's shoulder, she took a hearty drink of the liquor Yasu had poured for her. Smacking her lips in delight, she leaned closer and whispered messily into Aly's ear, "The first few sips burn, but after that it's smooth sailing." Nodding as if she'd just revealed a huge conspiracy, she coddled the remaining drink in the glass and watched Ieyasu, Rahujo and Syrenrei, her dizzy attention caught by the lack of a glass in Rah's hand. "You don't drink?"
