What pulls the carriages up to Hogwarts from the station?
I'm gonna put in an anime answer.
It's really Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha pulling it. You see, because Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru were such naughty pups, Inu no Taisho punished them so that they had to pull the carriages of Hogwarts forever and ever until they learned how to cooperate from the bottom of their hearts. Of course Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru do pull the carriages along nicely, but they still have grudges against each other in their hearts, so they go on forever and ever. The reason why they can't be seen is because they were embarrassed about it, and pitying them, Dumbledore cast an invisibility charm on them so they couldn't be seen. Whenever the carriage acts up a little, it's because Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru have gotten into a "small scruffle".
What makes the ceiling of the great hall sparkle and change like that?
