Good luck with that Loor. I went from being a freakin' selfish teenager to being a freakin' selfish and lazy adult. *sigh* That is going to be the hardest thing to break yourself of. I've been working on it for ten years and haven't got it right yet....

I appreciate yall so much. Yall's words made me feel better about my choice to brake my 3 1/2 year habit of it. I am now 5 months clean. 3nodding

And I think it does involve mental problems. I have one. Its called insecurity and selfishness. Now I need to stop being SUCH a freakin' selfish teenager.

I don't have a problem with it personally. If you want to, go ahead do it...though it's not really my scene.

And BTW, I wouldn't call being insecure and selfish mental problems...I have enough experince of my own and my families to know that those sort of things are just being a teenager.

If you're taking about cybering and/or masturbation, I agree. To elaborate on what you said:

Simply put, Purity is: Abstinence from immoral vices.

Leviticus 19 - "Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy."
Hebrews 12:14 - "Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord."

James 1:21 - "Therefore, rid yourselves of everything impure and every expression of wickedness, and with a gentle spirit welcome the word planted in you that can save your souls."

Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy-keep thinking about these things."

(In other words, don't meditate on porno mags and films/hentai/lolicon/shotacon/other things of a sexually perverted nature. Because even if these are just little things that are completely harmless, they do have a way of screwing with your mind.)

Don't fill yourself with images and thoughts that you don't need, that are not good for you. People have a way of getting addicted to "harmless" little things such as these. Believe me, I know!

Garbage in = garbage out.

Philippians 2:15b - "... that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe"

It is natural, and I can imagine that it must be pretty hard for normal people to abstain, so I try not to hound them about it too much (I'm asexual so it's normal for me to be abstinent). But for people who are straight, bi, or gay I'm sure they'd rather explore and experiment and stuff.

In a small way I kind of envy them, because they have an easier time with relationships and people like me are always awkward and alone -_-;

It's pretty rare, I've only met a couple of other people who are asexual.

A lot of folks think it's a "disorder" or "dysfunction" or something. Even in middle school and high school people told me that was weird. But I've always thought it was normal for me.

I've done it before. Several times actually. The last I did it left me feeling incredibly guilty and unclean. You see, I was in a relationship and I cybered with somebody else. Wether this can be classified as cheating or not, I felt like I'd cheated. Haven't done it since.

Dude yes, i would consider that cheating.
Well if you wouldn't tell your partner, its cheating.

I cyber with my boyfriend because hes still living in England until we can get our papers straightened out for him to relocate.

I personally don't care what others think. i don't do it with others - and ive never done it before.

I'd say it encourages lust and such, so it's a sin, and something you should avoid. I don't consider it incredibly mentally healthy either, even if you do think it's harmless.
