"Actually, I think the best way would be doing handstands. The only thing you need your arms to support, is basically your body weight, so that would be the best way to get used to that." He nodded, though picked up a long leaf to put in his mouth. He sat his body down a few feet away from her, and just observed for a minute.
"If you want to be able to shift from using your arms as well as your legs, you have to start practicing in that way." He grinned, wondering how she would do with this first task. Kitsune was more of a head on fighter, but with females that was sometimes harder to teach them. Plus, Kitsune also enjoyed getting hurt, it made him feel stronger. But that kind of mindset was one that came in time.

Ness sprung from her feet rolling into a ball and landed on her hands, and she started walking around quite a bit. She would sometimes lift one hand up in the air to where her whole body was standing on one hand, and then she'd switch to doing the same on the other. Then, she walked back on both hands, swishing about as if she were dancing with her feet, scuffling around on the ground.
It also could be said that she loved an audience. Since he was being one for her, she decided to show some of her moves. She let her legs hang forward so that a toe rubbed the top of her head. "move back and forth between my hands and my feet.... hmmm...."
She grew a determined look on her face and swung her legs around in a direction that might knock a numa off their feet and landed on hers. Then, she was standing up with her left arm extended outward with her claws showing.

"Good." He said, as he watched her pratice on individual arms. "If you can do that, then trying standing on one arm for long periods of time. Obviously, you arm will get exhausted, but it makes you much stronger then using both." He nodded, and nibbled on the piece of grass more. She had a solid movement and base, so she could easily knock someone out with her feet. That would probably be her best use of strength, making an opponent confused by using her strong legs as offense.
Her little move made him chuckle a bit, but at least she had the right idea. "Remember, you want to always find something that you are better at against your opponent." He got up and walked towards her. "Like, you have speed and flexibility, so if your opponent has brute strength, you have to make sure to constantly move around. That way, they can never catch you." He grinned, hoping his insight was helping so far.

In her standing posture, she balled up her other hand in a fist. "Right! So.. then I have to be even faster..." She flipped around in the air and put herself up on one hand, holding herself there for a while.
With the weight of her body on that one arm after a while, her arm muscle started to twitch, and she felt drops of sweat around her forehead. She mustered up her face in another determined look. Sweating would be a part of this, she had to accept it. After all, she could always shower later. Not like she was here to impress anyone.
"Do you ever listen to music when doing this?" her voice slightly strained by the weight of her body working on her arms and shoulders. "I think.. music would help... unless... the sound of it somehow upsets the balance of the sanctuary."

"Good good like that." He saw the way her body was reacting, but that was good, it would only make her stronger. "I think speed will help you quite a bit, I know the smartest thing I ever did was improve on my speed." He nodded, and watched her balance back and forth.
"Music?" Hmm music, he kind knew what that was, but he shot her a blank look. "Like uhh, what do you mean? I have heard music before.." He nodded quickly, trying to figure it out, "but where would I find music in this swamp?" In a sense, his confusion was more at his lack of technology.
"I find the silence soothing, the wind is noisy enough for me. I guess music would be nice on the quietest of days, but sometimes the silence is nice." He commented, starting to understand what she meant.
After allowing her some time in flipping her arms back and forth, he instructed her to have a moment of rest. The sun was moving across the sky, and the afternoon was fast approaching. "Now, if you do movements like that everyday, you will become much stronger in the arms." Kitsune walked a few paces to the left, and put his sword down carefully. "Now, come at me with speed, trust me, I can handle it. But, I need to see how fast you are." He nodded to her, and acted very serious towards the training.

"Come at you? Like hit you?" She had never actually ever hit anyone before. She blinked a few times pulling herself back like she was about to race someone in a sprint, and when she took off, she was rushing past making a cloud of dust behind her feet. "mmm... Take that!" She lept up in the air and tried to throw a fist into his face.

"Well, sort of." He added in, while watching her pounce into the air. With a an inch of his toe, he moved his body so that he avoided her blow. He kept his hands to his sides, and he watched everything about her, her expression, movement, and body reactions.
"I guess you can try to attack me, but I am more interested in how you can trick me. Fighting is a game." He mused, while watching her collect herself again. "Rather then being a game of strength, it is actually a game of trickery. Being able to confuse your opponent is another skill to have. And its not through words," which one could CLEARLY see when talking to Kitsune, "its through body launguage and control."
Since Kitsune spent so much time on his body, it was clear to see that he lacked many other social functions. "So, try again." He nodded.

Now, Ness may have been at times extremely c**k, selfish, and arrogant; but she was never mean or spiteful. She didn't normally think about how to trick others; so this new challenge was in fact.. challenging. She stood for a minute with her hands on her hips. "Hmm... but, what if somethings don't work on you that might work on other numas.. because.. I think if I were to walk up and make a snide comment at the coffee who hit me... He'd come at me for sure."
She stood there kicking the dirt with a perplexed face. She was trying to think of a way to trick him. Oh yeah. Not with words.. but then she had an idea.. but she was nervous to do that to Kitsune. He was such a nice person. She looked up at him a little unsure. Then, she walked up very close around him, her tail trailing behind her wrapping around him. She wasn't done with her tactic, but she had to wait and see what kind of reaction it would procure. If he would react at all like some of the other males, she could try something.

"No I don't mean tricking with words though, but tricking in your movement.." He was about to explain more, since he realized she may have misinterpreted what he said, but he noticed her approach him in a very strange way.
"Uhh." He eyed the female and crossed his arms confused. "What are you doing?"
A few seconds went by, and it only explained more of Kistune's awkwardness towards everything. "I thought you were going to attack?"
Shrugging the weird move off, he took a few steps back, and moved her tail away from him. "Like, when you are moving around quickly, I mean planning your movements to suprise your opponent." He sighed, so confused by the last few moments. "I know this may be confusing, but I am sure once you master it, you will see great results.* He still was unaware to her original plight.

She withdrew her tail around herself. She stood there thinking more again. "Hmmm. yeah. But, if you weren't so... YOU... and a little more inclined to close proximities like that. You might have grabbed my arm or something as I moved passed, and then I would have like..kicked you in your stomach.. or that was the plan.. hmm.. "
She then got another idea. She flew up into the air and came flying down like she was about to kick her feet right into his stomach, but instead, she slipped underneath him, coming up behind him and kicking him from behind. "How's that?"

He gave a confused look, and was going to think up and answer, but he watched her try something else. As she slipped under him, he put his hands out to catch her feet before the impact. "Good, this was well planned, and many would first freak out at the going under part!" He nodded, and gave her a congratulated look. "Do you see what I mean now? In the sense of confusing your opponent?"
He took a few steps away from her and plopped himself on the ground again. "Now, the only other thing to really consider is what your opponents strength were. Do you remember anything in particular that your opponent was really good at?" He put his eyes back on her, trying to understand her losing grief. "Sometimes the best way to learn about an opponent is to lose a fight, so I am sure next time you will shock this b*****d." He grinned at her confidently. Since she was trying so hard, he was happy to see her progress and abilities.

"Well, he has both a lot of height and strength. I mean... He is close to a feet taller than me. I have to fly up to be able to look him in the face. He's very strong. I mean... even before that... I've been with him dancing... and he just completely manhandled me then too.. even though that time was nice and not at all like being thrown into a wall." She looked to the side despairingly a little. Such a contrast, such was the hard part of coming to terms with it.
She grinned and felt a phew of relief when he congratulated her on a move pulled off well. Hmm.. so that's what he meant. She would maybe have to practice and learn this more. "Well, even if I don't necessarily give him a shock. If I wanna go with Yuki to visit the Swamp Side Cafe again.. I will be ready."
She looked at his sword. She wondered to herself how useful having some kind of tool was. Still, she thought to herself to focus only on the basics for now. When she started to master more of these confusing your opponent tactics; then she would see about getting a weapon and learning how to use it.

So he had strength and speed, so Kitsune put his paw to his chin while he was thinking. "Well, is he smart? And, does he have a keen eye? As in, does he grasp hold of movement well?" If he really was good at all of these things, then Kitsune was a bit worried for her.
"I still find it ridiculous that he did that to you, females aren't meant to be thrown into walls by a male." He shook his head, what a loser for picking on a female. Kitsune didn't see it as a -males are better then females- persay, he just found that all competition for a fight should be equal. "It is strange to hear of a female getting hurt like that. Maybe I am old fashioned in my fighting ways but, that's ridiculous."
He looked up at her again after she finished speaking. "Now you know what to expect from this guy, so you will be more ready then the last time." he nodded solemnly.

Listening to his questions made Ness come to a realization. She really didn't know him at all. She had some pleasant encounters with him. but, she wasn't really sure just how smart he is. She also had no clue about a lot of things. Movement..."He is good with movement. He dances a lot." It could be true he was rather formidable.
"Well, I don't think his idea was to throw me into the wall. He just threw the back of his hand into me to throw me out of the way... but, I mean... compared to his size, the force of his blow just sent me flying through the air like a little doll." She had an awkward and embarrassed face. She really did dislike that particular fact.

"Well, how are you going to change the situation the next time you see him? If he tries to get violent, what steps do you think you will use to avoid it?" He started plucking at a plant in the ground as he spoke.
"For example, if he tries to use that attack again, how will you change it for thist next encounter?" That was her main goal, overall. Kitsune was interested to hear her reaction, since that was all she really needed to overcome.
"Just make yourself prepared for anything."
