First of all I party, usually with my friends or I just go out with my boyfriend afterwards. Most of the time its just all of us friends. (It doesnt help that my boyfriend lives 45 minutes away.) Sometimes we get to keep some of the music but usually we have to give back half of it. And so im all sad and kind of covering it up because its worse once its all gone. I love pulling out the new music though, Im not sure why its just so fun actually attacking the piece. I know lame.

all of the clarinets got giant candy canes so i went up to the girl who was giving them away and said "Clarinets are awesome!!" (she's a sophomore, i'm a seventh grader, and a trombone player) and she said, "You get one for two reasons: you're awesome, and i'm your sister's best friend" so i got a candy cane and the other not clarinetists didnt! yaaaaaay

we watch videos of the concert and listen to the bd talk about what we did well and what we couldve done better, congradulate soloists, maybe play over some of the parts in the music we messed up on, then start on the new stuff the next day.

This is what me and my friends allways do after the concert:
1. Pig out on sweets (We supply pop. The 7th and 8th graders supply the sweets.) 2. My friend, Alayna, she takes her flute out, and so does Hayley, and they use them as lightsabors. Scary. 6th graders doing that. 3. They battle for the whole world to see! xd 4. Pig out on more sweets. 5. Bug the boys. (I'm considered one of the guys. I'm a girl, too!) 6. We all go out for ice cream after that. (Bob Joe's is the best!)
Ya. I'm a sixth grader.I'm proud of it.

Next Thursday, the band and chorus are performing in a competition for a medal. After, we're going to a theme park.... smile The Jazz ensemble got new pieces for the Moving On Ceremony. We're doing more concert-band-type stuff than jazz stuff. Normally I play marimba but for those three pieces I play bells. the 3 pieces are Canticum, Newcastle March, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (which, thanks to my BD, has been stuck in my head for most of the day).

We take a day to discuss the concert and watch the DVD of the concert. Then we discuss what we can do to make our performances better. After that we start working on Commencement and marching band music.

well...we have many concerts a year....so....that depends. after every freaking concert EVERYTHING has to go back in the band room. most of us escape 'cause our band director is scary eek crying . but if u mean after everything is done? PARTY!!!! we had a really sucky party for the end of the year tho (at least we had one) brownies, cheetos, mountain dew and coca-cola. and we had to watch star wars...which no one watched bc everyone's already seen it... >.>

After each concert, we get one day off. In the case of festival, it is one day off and one day of listening to tapes. After the last concert... we wait until the seniors don't have to be at school anymore and then we turn in the music from the entire school year. The band librarians cry because Sym I turns in about 30 pieces in one day (about 3/4 the music Sym I has out), and then they have to inventory it that day before the next wave of music from them.

we get out music and play for fun...and then the percussionists ruin it because they tend to sit on the floor during songs... >.< it's so annoying.

after we get started, we usually start up on marching stuff, or else just party it up in our own way.

In 6th Grade we just played new music.
But now in 7th grade, we watch our performances, and rate it. <3
