Life in a pack had it's benefits. Life on one's own had it's cons. It was so akward being out on her own, it didn't really feel right, but even so Talia wouldn't go back home. The elders in her pack were so stuffy and demanding.
'The progeny of the alphas must act with more constraint! You have to set an example!'
A lighthearted laugh echoed through the trees, an adolescent wolf frolicking, yes, frolicking through the woods in leaps and bounds. She was currently terrorizing a little rabbit, though heavens knew she had no intentions of eating it. She just had a great bit of amusement in mimicking the long-ear.
She had wandered out and found herself in the freelands now, the North-Eastern area being where she originated from, and though her behavior was playful there was still a definite care in each of her leaps. As the rabbit made it's final escape into it's burrow Talia came landing to the ground from her pounce, panting softly. The forest was quiet so she could easily hear her own breathing, and with heavier inhales she noticed the crisp smells of summer's eve. Spring was a great season, but Talia was horridly curious to experience "the summer", and "the autumn". The latter season was just around the bend, it coursed through her sense of smell, and still on a bit of a high from her game of chase she lifted her head back and howled a slightly high pitched trill of exuberation. It was incredible just to be alive!
((XD THAT was craptacular. *kicks it* Tags Dagda, or someone else that would like to join that's in the Eastern area of the freelands.))

Dagda, on the other hand was more jaded towards the seasons these days, Summer held little promise for him other than perhaps a little more improved hunting. But for all he knew that season would be over too soon and the harsh winter would creep upon him again. Still, he never let such bleak thoughts stop him, and he continued to walk on and on, a limp still evident in his movements from the fall of yesterday.
He didn't doubt that he had pulled one muscle or another, but at least he hadn't broken anything.
As he walked along the paths of the forest he listened to every sound, every birdsong and every movement of the small creatures about him. Just the other day he had chased them like a mad thing, he didn't grudge them the wide berth he was receiving.
His ears perked as he caught the howl not so far off, and he headed towards the sound, breaking into an uncomfortable lope towards where Talia stood.
((*copies your technique of putting the image at the top* It was not a crap post, I liked it muchly.))

The last of the young female's notes dissipated slowly with her allowing her voice to soften and then fade out. Her ears returned to a level position as she lowered her head again, regaurding Dagda with soothing blue eyes, a grayish shade, slate. "Hello, and who might you be?"
She sounded calm, wary even. Her stance remained casual from where she was now sitting on the ground, but it could be compared to a dragon in waiting. Should the need arise she could, and would run in favor of her safety. She would also stand her ground so long as she stood a chance, but since she didn't know who this wolf was or if he had friends she waited for now to see if he was friend or foe.
((Hee! ^^ *transferring RP as we go* Well then it served it's purpose! :3 *bow*))
--------------------
Dagda observed the other wolf with his cool sulphur gaze, as always immediately critical of the other's perceived fighting prowess. After all, he wasn't in prime condition, still somewhat wet from his dip in the lake, sleek blue-grey pelt seeming to fade to black where it was most damp.
After a time he spoke, his voice a cool, collected tenor.
"I'm Dagda, a loner of these parts, known to most as simply Dag."
He walked forward a step or two, still limping noticably, but even in this state he was not afraid of the other, his jaws still worked just fine and he could fight if he needed to. He held his head and tail high.
Coming to a halt, he lowered himself to his haunches and spoke, still showing very little emotion other than indifference, as was his way.
"And what, might I ask is your name?"
--------------------
Talia's first impression of this wolf was an amusing one. ~He would probably get along well with Trija.~
She raised her own head a little from where she sat, noticing his slight limp, but not dismissing the possible threat he posed yet. "You may," She answered, "it's Talia. I'm from the North-Eastern lands."
Her own voice flowed more soft-spokenly, and with a trace of high-alto or low soprano.
