Could the k/g just be pronounced as an unaspirated k? That sounds like it matches your thing.

Vajra B. Hairava Could the k/g just be pronounced as an unaspirated k? That sounds like it matches your thing. Short answer: Yep. Long answer: Yes... technically, it's somewhere between a g and a k. If you play(ed) flute, you might've heard of how they teach tonguing with two different "phonemes" (I guess you would call it): the T and K or the D and G. If you tend to tongue normally by making a T sound over the mouthpeice, you're expected to make the K sound when you double tongue (same basic concept, but you do it in your throat so it's faster). Same with D/G. That's where I originally realised that T and D are related and that K and G are related... so ... it's supposed to be kind of between. G is more voiced, I guess, while a k is not voiced. Same with T and D, respectively, though those are different sounds here smile . So whichever you like better will work biggrin I write it as k in all cases, though. Some words (I guess we'll see later, I don't know yet...) may sound better or be easier to pronounce by switching which one you say.

Forgedawn Homurakitsune Forgedawn Homurakitsune Forgedawn aaaaaaaaaaand we have vocab and the future tense! WOO HOO! I need to put up phonetics for realz. Yeah, the words look cool and all, but I can't figure out how to pronounce them! xD And how are you using the umlauts? Like in German, or completely different? (Well, I mean, not like in German, cause German doesn't use them over an "i" but you know what I mean... sweatdrop ) ï makes the short i sound like in "tick". The preceding h is pronounced O.O I had an explanation up... but then I took it down because I changed so much when I made the script (without access to my phonetics info). I like this better, actually biggrin If I get to use my microphone, I'll record some words. Right now, I'm about to back up my hard drive for the first time ever on my new external hard drive. This will take a while... Oh, okay. ^_^ also, "g/k" as noted in the script is written k and pronounced almost like a click, I guess... It's in between a g or a k, just pick one and go with it, I guess razz And zh is the zh sound as in pleasure, azure, etc. I might find another way of writing it later and rewrite that word's transliteration. Cool! Where is the click located?

Most consonants (maybe all) are up, a bunch more words, half the present tense + to be, and I'm working on painting the script. I'm actually figuring out brush calligraphy. Makes me happy! I'm artsy fartsy, don't tell the dean. ninja
