Apparently hangovers and amusement parks don't mix. Goto Page: [] [<] 1 2

Yeah I guess the whole underage drinking seems worse in America seeing as the legal drinking age is 21. I'm a year off so I don't see it as being so so bad.

What is it in Canada, and is it 15 or 12 in Europe? I forget...

I think the drinking age in Europe varies. 19 in Canada.

Me neither. My family starts us off with beer before we can crawl.

I guess this is kind of related. Last night was my big birthday party. I had a lot of people over. Some were drinking some were not. People feel comfortable being sober at my parties which makes me happy. There was only one person of legal age drinking and that was my boyfriend. My parents were home though.

My brother had a friend over and they were drinking in his room. It was his birthday too. We're fraternal twins. He however has barely any drinking experience. I'm not bragging or anything but I'm glad I wasn't like him last night. He drank far too much far too fast. He puked all over his floor. His friend came in and got me. My boyfriend cleaned up the vomit but then my brother puked more. I told my mum that he had been drinking and how he was now puking. She was concerned and got me to take him outside. A few of my friends and I stood out on the deck for a long time while my brother leaned against the banister feeling terrible.

When he finally stopped puking we brought him back to his room and laid him on the couch. I'm always concerned about people puking in their sleep. My mother sat in his room and watched over him. His friend joined my crew for the rest of the night.

I just thought I'd mention this because I think that drinking rarely, in a safe location, with safe people, and parents when you're undersage really isn't that bad. My mum wasn't angry. We all just found it kind of funny. Well, my brother didn't find it very funny. The lessons he learned last night were: don't drink so much, don't drink so fast, drink more water, don't mix vodka with dark pop, anything stronger than 5-/50 is wrong, and that if he wants to drink that he should do it under my supervision. My mum agrees with me.

Now don't get the wrong idea and think my mother is careless, irresponsible, or anything of the sort. We know there are limits. My mother just happens to be understanding.

I've had plenty of hangovers.

And listen to Jovo. The "Drunkard" line is one you want to stay far away from.

And I told you to drink more water. I so warned you. domokun

I've had plenty of hangovers.

Blessed be the hangover
For its pounding praise
Of wild Nights not remembered
And Life's remaining Days.
