Remembering his death depresses me more than i am already. It is so unfair that he dired. I don't care if it helped out the plot or not. Gah..I.....its not fair at all...I wish it was someone else though...like////like havoc...wait, no...Havoc is cool to..but....

I thought maybe that instead of hughes dying it should have been leutenent hawkeye (not to be sexist rolleyes ) but she is also close to roy
she might have put up a better fight than he did
he will not be forgotten crying

It helped the story. I mean whith him dying (spolier: Roy wouldn't have had a reason to go after the Furer(pride) at the end of the series. If he hadn't died someone else close to Roy would have had too instead.)

I wish Hughes hadn't died, but it was for the development of the plot. He will be remembered and give the others another reason to fight.

I didnt think he needed to die... I cried when I saw it and I usually dont cry when an anime character dies even if they are my favorite sad

FMA airs at 1:00 am where I live. I didn't get to sleep till 4 because I was crying so much. crying That episode was so sad. And Hughes is my favorite character. Hell, I'm cosplaying him for an FMA shoot on Friday and (hopefully) Saturday at Otakon 2005.
(Spoiler: What really got to me about Hughes' death was not how his daughter and wife was acting, but how Roy stayed behind and was caught crying. I think that touched me the most. My poor Hughes... *sobs* )

The death of Maes was sad, I actually cried to that episode. But I think, it'd help fuel things along. For Roy and others.
I didnt like how Ed badmouthed him, but I did like when Maes waved a goodbye to him. That was touching.
